  1. He is working on training scenarios for both Caucasus and Nevada. Basic and Tactical flight.
  2. I can't say because that is not my dept. For the EA release we made USMC liveries available, beyond that I don't know.
  3. We need a translator. Somebody offered and translated it to Chinese. Another one offered to translate it to Spanish. It is up to you at this time. We do not have the resources to do translations and localization. PM me if you are interested.
  4. Be nice, please. It still is a place where those who want to make their own liveries can get ideas.
  5. That's about right. Thanks. :smartass:
  6. There are two parts of finger checks> "One finger check" because it is initiated and confirmed by signaling with the index finger extended. "Two or Five finger check" which refer to the engine performance evaluation, flaps and nozzle movement. Two finger if you are not going to use water. Five finger if you are using water. When the pilot is ready for a dry takeoff (no water) he signals with two extended fingers. If he is going to use water in the takeoff, he uses five extended fingers.
  7. Hello folks. We have an AV-8B NA paint-kit ready, only there is a problem: The package is nearly 1 Gb of data. 896 MB to be exact. We are not going to include the kit with the release, it is too big, but we want to make it available to those interested. So I need ideas of how to do that. Thanks in advance.
  8. Well, my pilot friend never claimed he had that mishap but he did say that flying inverted trying to recover dropped NVG or visor parts is a given.
  9. Why is it that I never learn not to say "The last update"? The pocked guide has been updated for typos and included a section about how to swap the sun visor for the NVG and vice versa in flight. Yes, it can be done. I was told so by a current USMC pilot. It is lengthy prone to errors and be ready for being the target of your wingman's jokes (and your squadron) if you drop any piece inside the cockpit forcing you to do some acrobatic maneuvers to get it back.
  10. Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs presets are now included.
  11. We hope to have a paint kit available soon.
  12. These are the liveries included in the release. VMA-211 (two versions) VMA-214 (two versions) VMA-223 (two versions) VMA-231 (three versions) VMA-311 (two versions) VMA-513 (two versions) VMA-542 VMAT-203 (two versions)
  13. The last update before release. This is not the final version. It will be updated as other systems are enabled, but that will happen after the release. Sections added: Landing Systems (landing gear and NWS). DECM Operational modes. Study it my friends, the examination tool will arrive soon.
  14. Dream all you want. But go to bed early on the 28th because Santa comes to DCS on the 29th. :smartass:
  15. The carrier has reaction control nozzles on the wing tips the tail and under the nose. Those provides pitch, yaw and roll control when in hover mode.
  16. All aircrafts have flight limits, even the A-10.
  17. With Mavericks you should be able to override automatic pylon selection. My mistake was not to take into account that there was an empty rail on my left wing when the maveric was selected.
  18. That is why the Pocket Guide has the limitations chapter and it has several graphics. Study them because all those limitations have been modeled and if you try to fly outside the parameters the aircraft will drop without warning. Been there, done that and made a lot of holes in the ground. Got a nasty surprise when using the Sidearm and a Maverick (I was carrying two sidearms and four mavericks), they left the same wing. Suddenly the aircraft was "heavy" on the other wing. I tried to make a turn to the heavy wing side and the wing dropped, the aircraft went into an unrecoverable spin and I hit the floor. The postmortem showed that the asymmetric load was 90,000 pounds-inch, or very close to the limit. When I turned into the heavy wing, the aircraft entered into a stall and fell. If I had maneuvered against the heavy wing, the aircraft would have responded without problems. And that is why I included the limitations chapter in the pocked guide.
  19. Unlikely. A release, even if it is an update, is a major tasking so only one can be done at a time.
  20. 1.5.8 and 2.2.0. Those were the versions where the AV-8B NA was developed the last four months. 1.5.8 == 2.2.0 except for the maps. I should say that the inner workings of 1.5.8 and 2.2.0 are the same. Unfortunately maps drive the graphics engine so I'm not sure if the graphics are the same or not.
  21. The cross shows where the missile is actually pointing at. The invisible keyhole indicates the launch limits for the missile. The missile seeker can slew wider than the missile can follow. That allows you to select a target without having to point the aircraft at it. But after a target lock you must maneuver the aircraft until the cross is inside the keyhole, otherwise the missile will miss. The cross is not needed for target lock. It is required for firing the missile within its launch parameters. Yes. The cross is still WIP. The aperture of the tracking gate indicates if the lock is good or not. If it is big then the missile lock is not good.
  22. No mistery. ED authorized us to post the release date.

    MFD map ?

In due time. It is one of the first things to be done after Early Access release.
  24. He did ask for in-game detail about probe animation, so no mistake at all.
  25. I'll have to check that Cougar map thing. But no key bind is hard coded for the MPCDs (Multi Purpose Color Display or Multi Purpose Display).
