  1. In case anyone else has this problem in the future here is what I found out. I was able to find the company the springs came from thanks to some help. I sent them one of the old springs and they sent me an e-mail with the part number. Century Spring Part #: 80430
  2. Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows the type of 'extension springs' the Evenstrain Cougar Mod uses. One of mine broke today in the middle of a dogfight.
  3. Awesome work, thank you so much!
  4. Awesome, I use all your profiles for DCS.
  5. Something I found out today while trying to get my wingmen to attack targets at my SPI. First thing I did was turn on my 'Send SPI' thingy and make sure it was displayed on the TAD. My wingman just kept flying around and then calling rejoin. I stumbled on this by accident. I turned off the 'Send SPI' signal before calling out what I wanted them to attack, and then I turned it back on right after the radio call to them. They hit the targets well after that, I just kept calling out targets with the 'Send SPI' off and then turned it right back on after the call. It was much fun watching them do all the work for a change.
  6. Played the first two missions so far SP, nice job, really enjoyed the experience so far. Thanks. Don't hibernate to long. ;)
  7. What I did is to just write down buttons I used a lot while flying and then just made a box with those buttons. Just built a UFC and mated two USB 8" monitors with two Cougar MFD's. Now I'm thinking of putting together another panel with all the start up buttons that I don't have mapped yet. So far this has come to 35 extra buttons. Looking forward to seeing your build.
  8. Hi, which microcontroller are you using? I'd like to get something with more then 32 buttons too. I've just built two panels this winter, my first one was a panel for the buttons I use while flying the most. It has the: master arm, Gunpac, TGP, Laser, Auto pilot settings, position flash, anti-collision, counter measures mode dial, flaps, landing gear, eject, and two toggles for engine start and stop (I have a cougar throttle). I also built a UFC box. Works for me... Good luck, have fun!
  9. The GBU-38's are a little strange in their behavior. They will align just give them time. They go from ALN UNS to ALN RDY after a little while after nav align is ready and you hit the EGI button. Once you start taxing and you turn left or right they'll go to RDY. Also, I've noticed they will go back to ALN RDY when changing SPI, entering a new WP in the CDU and turning on the GUNPAC. You can get them to go back to RDY mode by simply banking left or right in flight. Don't know if this is a bug or what, but you need to keep an eye on them before launching them. I've found out the hard way and learned of this fix by searching these forums.
  10. I think just having a chat area in the main multiplayer area where you see all the servers would be excellent. It would be a great place to hang out and find others who just want to hop in and fly a mission.
  11. Hi, I'm in the states and I'm looking for some guys go fly online with once in a while. I have a lot of experience flying online from the old 'Flanker' and 'Su-27' ladder days. Flying the Warthog these days.
  12. Here's a vid you may find interesting.
  13. Just installed my new Cougar MFD's and now I want to match them up to a couple of mini USB monitors. I've read a ton of stuff on this board, some of it older and some of it newer, and I'm a little confused about a couple of things. If I could I'd like to pick your brains a little or get some advice from folks who've already married the Cougar MFD's to a couple of Mini USB monitors. First is there a reason to get the 8" Lilliputs over the 7" ones? By getting the 7" I could save $100, but if the image doesn't fit the MFD space then it wouldn't be worth it. Only 4.25" is needed on the MFD's and I can't find any source that shows the actual image dimensions of the Lilliputs. Ok, once I get these babies installed what is the best way to configure them, I've read a bunch of stuff on this already, Peter's awesome config pfd, and other threads, but they all do some things a little different. Or, should I just use the 'EMC' tool and be done with it? Last, after all that, should I use the SoftTH thingy? Thanks in advance!
  14. Really? These won't work with Windows 7 64 bit? There are a lot of people using them on these boards, first I heard of that. Did you check to see if you have the latest drivers from Lilliput? Reason I'm asking is because I'd like to get the non-touch screen version.
  15. Ok, Open GL, Triple Buffering was/is off. Gotta go back to 13.2 beta 7.
  16. Dang it, I just installed these and my Track IR won't work either. How can you tell if triple buffering is on or off? I checked in all the CC sub folders and didn't see it anywhere.
  17. Has this been fixed? I'd love to use this once my two Liliputs come in for my MFD's.
  18. I usually just edit the elevation in the CDU to zero. You sure it was already at zero? I've edited the elevation on a ton of WP's before with no probs.
  19. Yep, just tried that myself. Weird cause you can slew the cursor in the HUD when the HUD is SOI and make that SPI to slew the TGP there.
  20. Yes, just make the point on the TAD the SPI (TMS Forward), then slew the TGP to the SPI (China Forward).
  21. Nice job once again, fun to watch and informative. Something I thought about when watching this when you were trying to make a SPI to have 2 fire on the infantry. Once you fired on that general location you had a 'Z' mark point on that spot. You could have went to 'Mark' mode and made that your SPI. I never would have thought of it unless I watched your vid though.
  22. Wow, nice work. Will we be able to use the 'spelling error' mod with this?
  23. Hi, I'll try to answer as best I can. I use this profile, and have since I bought DCS A10.2. Yes, you can use the microstick, and yes but I found that using it in the cockpit as a mouse didn't feel that right and didn't save any time. 1. I've modified the file in Foxy to fit my needs, team speak, VAC, no snap views, TrackIR commands, etc... 2. Yes to both. However I didn't like trying to use the mircostick as a mouse in the cockpit. 3. What do you mean by sloppy? I have my settings around a deadzone of 3 or 4 and a curve of 25 or so. In short, it's a great profile, the best one out there.
  24. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101404 Check out the start up procedure from this thread. Best you can do for now.
  25. Just use the external view, F2 or F1 I think, then pan around the aircraft.
