  1. Hello everyone. The whole helicopters not landing thing was a sim wide issue a while back. Thankfully though, they did fix it. I tested the "group dead" feature, since that was working for ground units but not aircraft. I was worried that it wasn't working for ships, but it is. So i'm glad that the helicopters actually land now. As for the troops, they stay with the downed aircraft (to disassemble and salvage) and the helicopters leave without them. On departure, I have tried SO MANY different ways to get them to leave in an orderly fashion. None have worked. About 50% of the time (on the F-86 side) 2 of the black hawks hit each other. They fair better on the MiG-15 side, only hitting each other maybe 20% of the time. Like I said, I've done so much with waypoints, formations, timing's, and can't find a solution for 2 of them not meeting an early demise. Thankfully, it doesn't effect the mission success result. With some of these silly obscure bugs (or the unfortunate case of your computer crashing) there's always the "auto success" option you can do via the radio messages, within the first 30 seconds of the start of each mission, to pass it and move on to the next. Sorry that some of these issues keep cropping up. It's a problem that stems from the constant refinement of the sim. A double edges sword if you will. I do appreciate your patience with the matter, and I hope that you are able to enjoy the rest of the campaign. - Apache600
  2. Fantastic reads here. Thanks Fredo_69 with the #10 post https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2999937&postcount=10 and also renhanxue. Good stuff, can't wait to delve into the digital version of this plane!
  3. I tested a few missions yesterday, and haven't run into any problems yet, so I believe it did. I didn't check 8.3 out specifically though, sorry.
  4. Updated 12/16/16
  5. Thanks Deathbane! I just checked Mission 6 on the new patch, and it looks like everything is working properly again. I hear ya, working on missions and campaigns can be quite daunting. I started making this campaign when DCS was still in version 1.2 ... needless to say, it was a lot of work bringing it up to 1.5. But it was well worth it. The graphical improvement alone was nice enough for me :)
  6. beat me by one post flyinbBeagle! Gonna have to make a variation of this glorious scene ... well, using other aircraft for now
  7. Haha, sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner, but I'm glad that you were able to see that this is an "all encompassing" bug. Hopefully the fix will be out soon. Glad you're enjoying the campaign so far! - Apache600
  8. Still no control panel for me ... anyone else figure a work around at all?
  9. Hey viperdogsnake, is there any chance you can "edit" your post, and hide it in the "spoiler" option? You'd have to click "go advanced" and then just wrap your text in the "spoiler" option. (it's the far right grayish box icon) Click this spoiler button below to see my comment: - Apache600
  10. That would be Ranger79 :) I've got the other one (The Museum Relic). :)
  11. Hello there gents, The latest DCS update has unfortunately done something internally (and quite unwanted) to the sim. It's something that has effected basically every mission / campaign that's been made. This issue is causing problems with both triggers and voice files. ED is aware of the issue, and they are working to resolve it. Hopefully they'll find a fix to the issue soon. Crazy that some of you have been able to pick your way through some of the missions even with these issues, that's dedication right there! haha. Hopefully that fix will be coming sooner rather than later. - Apache600
  12. Seems like there is a similar problem with "The Museum Relic" campaign, with the mission voiceovers. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=179183 - Apache600
  13. Glad you've enjoyed the campaign so far! That is odd. I'll have to check to see, when I get home, if I have "Part of Group in zone" as a trigger, since I've been reading that the latest update may have an issue with that command. Odd though that the SU25 went straight for the target, he should have flown off of your wing. And with 8.4, there is the one frequency change that you have to make as you approach the FARP. I wonder, if you individually load up an older mission, if the comms would work for that. If you've been able to get comms working in the past, then there shouldn't be anything new you'd need to do to get them to work in these missions. - Apache600
  14. It's official folks, only one of the two aircraft are now required! Thank you ED, for being able to split the campaign! And also, thank you community members and backers for your continued drive and support, as well as your patience, to seeing that this happened! - Apache600
  15. Seriously!?!? .... this is news to me. Can I ask if you've been able to take it a step further and actually start the campaign?
  16. Certainly sounds like a DCS thing then. A campaign can't manipulate or break that sort of thing (at least to my knowledge). I'm hoping, in a future update for the campaign, of putting the important mission briefing pages (like the flight plans) into the kneeboard. But it won't be for a bit though, as I'm currently waiting for the campaign to be properly split (so you don't have to own both aircraft to play it) And thanks for those kind words! I'm glad you're enjoying the campaign, and love hearing the good reception from it! - Apache600
  17. Fantastic! I'm glad the repair seemed to work. I know the amount of time and effort it takes to do all that you listed there, so thanks for the dedication to get the campaign back working on your end :) - Apache600
  18. Does this happen with the F-86 outside of the campaign as well? (with quick start or single player missions) Are you playing on VR also? If not, you could always print off what you need from the briefing pages here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/04jfgxq4fkywla9/AABMpZbyDVUYl2kK4mDu5zq1a?dl=0 - Apache600
  19. Once back home, I'll take a look at this on my PC. By chance, have you tired the mission again to see if it still crashes your computer? Worse comes to worse ... you did basically complete what you need to do, so you could just use that "auto-success" feature in the beginning of the mission to go on to the next one.
  20. Personally .... No, I don't think they'll make it a feature. There's a lot talented folks out there that will make movies and trailers, but by stitching different clips together in a movie editor. What would be nice, is if they were able to make "clickable" links in the mission briefing section, so we could then take a player to an external link for a different briefing set-up, or a YouTube video.
  21. I've experimented with this a little. The answer = yes* * - you can not have the "player" or "client" aircraft spawned yet. - once the "player" aircraft spawns, the camera is forced into cockpit. - The mission starts in the F10 map. - The player will have to press F2 or F7, or some view to get the camera out of the F10 map. - The player is free to move the camera around however they want, possibly missing what you would want them to see. - Custom sound files do still work though. So have been my findings - Apache600
  22. Excellent! Glad you can get back to flying the MiG GregP. And thank you Redglyph for helping out. That's an error I hadn't seen.
  23. Thanks, lemme check that out. Is it consistent and happening at the same spot each time for you?
  24. I had the problem earlier of the updater, from the start menu, not working. After following these steps with the Command Prompt, I got it to update successfully (I am using the stable version only though) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
