  1. Added the "v2.0 Binder edition" to the first post
  2. For the SU-25T, this might help you out: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=144219
  3. Changes have been made, and new version/notes are now on the first post. Thanks for the help guys! v0.8428 update - Apache600
  4. Haha "mission of the year" nomination for #10. :) Thanks Well ... I ran through Mission 11 for the F-86 and actually had the planes jam up on taxi half way to the runway, not hit the truck and freak out. Guess I'll have to cite that driver and get him outta there. Now with that taxi issue I saw, that was a problem that plagued me on the MiG-15 side. I fixed that, but at the time of the fix, the NATO aircraft AI were still functioning properly. Looks like I'll just have to carry that same fix over to F-86 side as well. Thanks for the report! I'll try and submit an update to ED soon. - Apache600
  5. Sweet deal. Thanks! I'm out on a trip right now, but I'll see to making those corrections when I get back. It looks like you've made them on your end already. So as long as you are the Host :P Lemme know if you see any other anomalies with some of the Helo missions. Those and the "Very Hard" section have been pretty much untested on my end.
  6. Hey guys! Thanks so much for the report! I put the helo missions in recently, and actually haven't been able to test them. (aside from basic spawn tests to make sure everything spawns accordingly, but I hadn't gone as far as trying to do a pick up to see what would happen) So this is the first I'm hearing of it. @pdmarsh, thanks for doing some of the dirty work there. I'll be sure to change that in the mission files with a future update. There might be a few other side missions too where the "order of operations" will be out of the sequence that you found. Glad to hear that you guys are giving this mission a shot. Feel free to let me know any other discrepancies you might come across.
  7. The L-39 is a great airplane. Good forward visibility in the cockpit (as long as you dismount the site ... which you can do in the mission editor) It's also good for gentlemen's aerobatics. And the ZA version has some more hardpoints and an internal gun if you want to blow up a few things. Obviously the plane doesn't have the thrust as the other jets in the sim do, but that's just fine. If he's a pilot, he'll know how to manage that. Ground handling is simple. It's the Russian type where you need to first press the rudder in the direction you want to go AND THEN press on the brakes. Takes a little getting used to, so maybe start him on the runway. Couple things to know. Flaps bring themselves up at ~300kmh. and when landing flaps and gear won't come down if over ~300kmh. The airplane is also VERY sensitive on the elevator. You can tune that down in the settings if you'd like though. - Apache600
  8. 3,000+ CFI, CFII, MEI, ATP. Currently flying an Embraer E-175
  9. Without knowing what you've already done, it's kinda hard. Try following this and see if you can get it to work. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183759 - Apache600
  10. @Zeroskills, after talking with a few others, it seems that the latest update (possibly stretching back for the past two updates) have had an internal break with some of the A.I. functionality. ED knows about it, and there should be a fix to it in the not to distant future.
  11. Well, I tested out a few missions, and Yes, the F-86 campaign does have the anomalies you were talking about. The helo's in mission 2 ... I have no clue why they're doing that. F-86 mission 4, the Yak actually goes back to Sochi, but then rejoins the flight plan and completes it. For the MiG-15, I was able to talk to the helo's in mission 2. They took off, and at waypoint 1, turned back to the airport, overflew it, but then went along on the flight plan. Just like you said. Also, my custom NDB for Sukhumi was all the way over at Kobuleti ... very weird. I also noticed in a mission further along in the campaign (MiG-15 mission 11) that the A.I. aircraft now get stuck in taxing. I then flew the F-86 mission 11 because in this mission there's A.I. friendly aircraft that spawn in the air, on the ramp, and a delay ramp start ... trying to narrow this down to see if one specific type of spawn is creating this issue. Everything acted normally though. I'll see if I can get to the bottom of this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. - Apache600
  12. Hmmm ok. Thanks for the heads up. Would your version be the latest of Beta or Stable? I appreciate you trying this with the MiG-15 too. Extremely odd that they never spawned. Beta = 1.5.6.3690 Stable = 1.5.6.1938 Hopefully tomorrow ED will update the Stable to match the Beta version. Regardless though, I'll still look into it and get back to you. Worse comes to worse, I might have to ask for your mission log files so I can pass it on to Bignewy. If you find a post from him, his signature has instructions on how to find the log file.
  13. I'll take a look at this. First time I've heard anything like this though. Did you have to use the "skip mission" feature to get past the 2nd mission? Which version of DCS are you running?
  14. This has happened to me on multiple occasions now. The TILS attempts to line of for a non-existant runway. And when I look at BANA / GRANS Out, it says Rwy 18-00. Krans-Center has Rwy's 9-27 Here in the picture, I flew the TILS localizer/Glideslope all the way down. I am in Landing Nav mode, and you can see my orientation with the runway, my heading, the radar scope, LF1 is displayed, and also that TILS is illuminated. - Apache600
  15. Well I'm going to throw my hat in the ring for the MiG-21. I enjoy the F-5, and would say that it may be on par with the M2000 for ground pound operations, but I think the MiG-21 might be more fun for that. Granted, I don't own the M2000, but looking at the load outs, it seems rather similar to the F-5. Air-Air wise, the M2000 is going to be very capable at short and long range, where the F-5 is more of a close in knife fighter. The MiG-21 i would say is a close and medium range Air-Air. It has the IR missiles like the F-5, but also some crude early generation radar guided missiles which are really fun to use. As for the ground pound operations, they all have dumb bombs and rockets. (I like the MiG-21 S-24 rockers ... massive things those are) The F-5 and M2000 both get some laser guided bombs, which is really cool, but you need the ground support to utilize them. The MiG-21 doesn't get that but doesn't need it when you go to the other side of the spectrum and use the ... tactical nuke :P The gunpods on the MiG-21 are a joy to use, and I'm so glad that the latest update brought them back. But my all time favorite weapon is the Grom missile for the MiG-21. That thing is a hoot. Navigation for the F-5 is very basic. ADF, TACAN, and Eye-balls. The MiG-21 has the Russian version of the VOR's and ILS, which is a lot fun. I've been shooting approaches with it down to minimums lately. It's a challenge to say the least. Another reason why I'm going for the MiG-21 is because it is so far from the norm from your A-10C, that I think it would really show you some of the vast array of game play style that DCS offers. Anyway, that's my opinion. The others that people have voiced here are all well and good too. In all, The F-5 is fun to fly, the MiG-21 is fun to fly, and the M2000 is on my list to buy, and will most likely also be fun to fly. I really don't think you can go wrong ... and I certainly wouldn't put it past you to get all 3 ... plus some of the other modules. Heck, you're already $3,000 in, what's just a little more? :) - Apache600
  16. Money well spent, sale or not, in my opinion! And if it makes you feel any better, just think of it this way ... you wanted to support them a little more, monetarily, because it's that good of a module :P As for getting yourself started in this plane, I suggest Chuck's tutorials, xxJohnxx's YouTube videos (though there are other good ones out there too) and then also my checklist here: (of course I have to support my own stuff too) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183759 - Apache600
  17. My guess, and it's a complete guess ... but I would think those might be buoys holding up a torpedo net
  18. That was fantastic! Nice work. I really liked the ambiance you created with the first scene.
  19. What's that on the hardpoint?
  20. The mountains have never looked better. What a great mod. One issue though, when flying in the lower portions of the map (Batumi, Kobuleti) and looking out towards the North-East, my frame rate drops to the mid-upper teens. Without the mod, I'm getting high 30-s to low 40's. I have everything maxed out (minus shadows) and running 2k graphics. Rig= i7-4790k, 16gbram, gtx780 6gb vram
  21. Today, after turning the wing tanks and flying around for a bit. I wasn't able to turn the switch off during the post flight. The green light was on, indicating the wing tanks were empty. Not sure if that might have anything to do with it. - Apache600
  22. That is really cool! Thanks for posting
  23. Off the top of my head .... and this is if you don't already have a time set up for the waypoint in the mission editor. check current time by going to TID - OUT and pressing LS/SKU ex: 140030 (14:00:30) back to AKT POS - OUT and select the B* that the target is at. ex: Target is at B3 (this step might be omitted, just can't remember if a bug required you to have the destination window set with the waypoint) with B3 in the destination indicator, go to TID - IN and select the time you want to be at the waypoint. ex: (14:16:00) press 141600 then B3. got back to AKT POS - OUT and then flip back to TID - OUT. It should than read a timetable deviation ... but I'm not sure if it sets it to the current mach number you're at when entering the times, or if it goes off of the pre-set economic mach number.
  24. Thanks Redglyph for looking into this! I hope that answered the question you had scotth6. If not, we could go to Bignewy directly, but I think he covered the problem in the thread that Redglyph posted. If you already "beat" the mission ... which it looks like you did (save for the ADF tuning mishap :P) you can always skip the mission via the F10 Radio options in the first 30 seconds of starting the mission.
