  1. feefifofum didn't properly phrase his last sentence. what he meant to say was. "For fine tuning, unfortunately it's A LOT of restarting the .miz and hitting F7." haha
  2. You're very welcome feefifofum. The only other enemy aircraft you'll come across right now would be PVP. I'm looking at adding a feature later on where a team could call up AI aircraft as support. But that's something would have to be initiated by an opposing player.
  3. This thread is no longer supported. Go here instead: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205546 Hello and welcome to the Normandy Duel mission created by Apache600. Last updated - July 28th 2017 The concept of this mission is relatively simple ... defeat the opposing force by bringing their score to zero. Of course this must be done before your score reaches that same point. (Even if all the players in the server join one team, that team could still easily lose the battle by getting shot down to often by the AAA.) Each team starts with 10 points. Here's the breakdown of point deductions: 1pt - Whenever a player controlled aircraft is lost.* 2pts - Supply Fort is destroyed. 2pts - Train (all of it's cars) at Railyard is destroyed. 3pts - Aux. Airport aircraft are destroyed. 3pts - Tank Group is destroyed. (2 pts for the first two-thirds of the group destroyed, an additional 1 pt for the remaining.) 3pts - Resupply Fleet is sunk. (2 pts for the first two-thirds of the fleet sunk, an additional 1 pt for the remaining.) * notes 1: The player aircraft must have moved faster than 3 kmh before it is registered as being alive. 2: If a player aircraft lands anywhere within 25 km's of their Main Base, the condition for having a point deducted is turned off. This has a few pro's and con's. Pro: It allows you to land a perfectly good aircraft (or completely devastated one, yet still alive) at your main base, or the beach, or main street, or farmer Dan's field, ... really anywhere within 25km of your starting base, and switch to another slot without having been counted as killed. (The aircraft MUST first come to a complete stop) Con: If the piloted aircraft comes to a complete stop at any of the places listed above, and is still alive, no matter the amount of damage received .... and is THAN either shot up, a 500kg bomb dropped on it, or maybe has flipped over and eventually burns out, it will NOT be counted as having been killed. This is because it first came to a stop, thus turning off the criteria for that specific condition. Special Points: Special Points can be earned different ways throughout the match, and can be spent on various abilities, which are: Carpet Bombing, Defensive Fighter Patrol, Cargo Re-supply, and Jet Unlock. Each ability can only be used once. And the “Jet Unlock” ability will have a deactivation option at the beginning of the match if the players opt for not having it available. 1) Carpet Bombing Raid - When called in, 2 groups of 4 bombers appear from beyond the main base, headed towards the enemy territory. They will ask you to select a target for them. If you do not select a target within approx. 5 minutes, they will turn and head for home. You can also command them to fly either a close or open formation. 2) Defensive Fighter Patrol - Two friendly fighters will appear from beyond the main base, headed towards the center of your territory. They will patrol back and forth within friendly territory searching for enemy aircraft. They will depart the area and head for home after 20 minutes of patrolling. 3) Cargo re-supply - Three Cargo aircraft will appear from over the channel, flying towards the coast. They will make landfall between the friendly and hostile territories, and then turn to fly towards their respective main base, where they will land. For every Cargo Plane that lands, you will have 1 point added towards your score. 4) Jet Unlock - Unlocks the ability to spawn into a Korean era Jet Fighter (F-86 for Allies, MiG-15 for Axis) There are a few caveats. You only get one, and if lost, it will deduct a point from your score. There is no additional Jet-A fuel available. What’s in the internal fuel tanks is all you get. For both aircraft, external fuel tanks are not available. And for the F-86, Air-Air missiles are not available. How to earn Special Points: You can earn 1 special point for each of the following: - Destroy the Supply Fort AND train at the Railyard. - Destroy the Aux. Airport aircraft. - Destroy Tank Group. - Sink Resupply Fleet. - Make comm request at the Chippille airport. To do this, you must land at the airport, and initiate the open line request to HQ via the F10 radio menu. It takes 5 minutes to complete this request, and an aircraft from your coalition MUST remain within the airport boundaries the entire time. Leaving, or being destroyed, before the line completes will result in a broken transmission. And you will have to wait 10 minutes before another open line can be made. If successful with your transmission, you will also have to wait 10 minutes before being able to make another open line request. Be aware though, once you initiate the request, the enemy will also be alerted to this, and most likely coming at full speed to stop you. This mission requires: (1) The Normandy Map, (2) WWII Assets Pack, and (3) one of the WWII aircraft. You can download the mission at this link here: (Click the little down arrow in the top right corner) Version 0.340 (July 28th 2017) NO LONGER VALID, go here instead: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205546 Please let me know if there are any bugs encountered. This mission has been pretty thoroughly tested, but there could always be a few issues still lurking. Thanks everyone! Update History: V0.340 07/28/2017 - Added new feature: “Special Points” - Added 4 variable that you can spend “Special Points” on. See briefing above for “Special Points” details. (in-game briefing also includes the new text) - Included additional briefing page images. - Added ability to check current Score and Special Points. - Changed all aircraft on Aux airports from uncontrolled AI to Static. - Fixed some spelling errors in the text V0.301 07/21/2017 - Public Release! - Apache600
  4. @LeCuvier, that did the trick!!! Thank you. Oddly enough, that was the only key binding giving me trouble, none of the others did that for me. I probably don't have the same keys bound as you do, so you may discovered a few more. Thanks again!
  5. Just as the title says, trying to bind the Reverser to a HOTAS control (I've never had an issue binding anything in the past) black screens the sim. It does this in both 1.5 and 2.0 - Apache600
  6. Thanks for answering that one Yurgon! I wouldn't have known that answer.
  7. Thanks guys! These comments are always great to hear. It makes all the work put into them worth it :) - Apache600
  8. That's awesome :) You guys working on completing all the missions inside of it??? btw, I'm currently hard at work on the same type of mission, but for the NTTR map. I've been working on it for a while now and will be testing it with a group I fly with, but it's still got a long way to go before I open it up to the public and the forums here. To give you an idea, this Krasnodar map has just shy of 1,600 units in total on it. My NTTR one has ~1,850 right now, and still needs some flushing out on some of the missions. There will also be more love for the Helo's, in that the city of Las Vegas city itself has Easy, Medium, and Hard missions inside of it, that way the helo's can easily join in on since the travel times are less (All fixed wings will be based at Nellis, while all Helo's will be based on FARPS just south of Nellis about 7km or so) There will also be the same kinds of Helo specific missions which require rescues and what-not too. I think this will be a good sequel to the Krasnodar mission. - Apache600
  9. Here's my profile. Though I bind everything using the in-game settings. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187246 (Just find the AJS-37 link)
  10. As of today (June 12th 2017 ... guess you could have just looked at the post date) the pilots are still there when set to Uncontrolled.
  11. Santa Rosa is a great little airport. Been there a few times, but it's been a while. Most recently was probably 3 years ago with a Caravan. I was trying to get into Ukiah, but the weather was below minimums, so I diverted to Santa Rosa. I live just to the East of you a bit, in Sacramento. With the climb rates, yeah that's accurate. The climb rates that you read on aircraft performance charts are all for very specific (and good) conditions. It's usually sea level and at standard temperature. In the jet I fly, we normally climb at ~3,500ft/min when we're low (10,000 ft). But once we get up higher, 30,000 feet or so, I'm happy with 1,200ft/min. Of course it all depends on the weight of the aircraft, airspeed in the climb, and air temperature. But performance drops off drastically when you get up into the flight levels. (Good example, if I were to get into a high altitude stall, after putting my engines to MAX power, I would still lose probably 4,000 ft before I could recover)
  12. LOL, still though, a hit with an HVAR. that's good! Think about it, a slower (relatively speaking) rocket that has a more pronounced drop, and a target that is not only suspended in air, but also moving. Not an easy target. Low-time private pilot is nothing to balk at! Congrats for getting the rating. That's a huge accomplishment in and of itself. Where do you fly out of? Mission 9 shows you a bit of the aviation world that Cessna pilots don't normally see. Have fun with the problems of high altitude performance! And I think you may get a kick out of Mission 10. E6B worthy for the mission design. It's one of my favorites. I've got a few other missions floating around. Most notably is this one: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169772 It won't challenge your navigation skills or anything. But it is a great Shoot-em up mission. - Apache600
  13. Thanks Istari6! As per your question, I don't have the Mi-26 set to immortal. There just seem to be times where the helo takes damage, and other times when it doesn't :/ sorry I can't help ya more. 180 hits though! and with rockets! that's impressive. It's not necessary to kill the helo's to complete the mission, so I hope that you were still able to get past it. Because I've had problems with the helicopters not taking enough damage for them to go down, I actually have them set to do an onboard explosion if there life gets to a certain point. For the Mi-26, if it gets BELOW 75% health, there's an explosion on board. ... maybe 181 shots would have done it :P - Apache600
  14. v0.8604 update. It's another big one!
  15. Thanks Paul! Not to worry. Those numbers have already been modified in the new version, which will release very soon. I had a similar issue a few days ago with the Mi-8 on the "Crash Site" mission. The elevation of the ground is at 14 meters. and my trigger was looking for a helo that was less than 16. When an Mi-8 would land, it's altitude (via the external view statues bar) showed exactly 16 meters. So the trigger never tripped. It wasn't until the helicopter was hit by a tank shell, and rolled onto it's side, that the altitude changed to 15 meters. That's when the injured crew decided to get on board. hahaha This new version is going to be a good one. Not as significant as a change as the last one, but pretty darn close. There's a new helo mission too! Get your practice on with Sling Loads :) Once I get the new voice files created and edited, it'll be posted.
  16. Nice work Fisherman82. I'll put this link on the First Post too. @The_Nephilim, Definitely Landscape. I had special instructions on the thing too for them to make it print properly on the front and back side (so one side wouldn't be inverted) The lady doing the printing said she messed it up a few times before getting it right, but she knew what I wanted with what I had in the desription. 1. Landscape 2. I had to cut off the access. 3. Yes, 110lb paper. Because of this thickness though, the printer operator people have to print one side, then manually insert it back in to do the other side. 110 is to thick for double side printing at the same time apperently. If you live in the US, I might be able to make you a copy and ship it to you. It'll cost you a bit more, with shipping and all ... and time for me having to cut it and whatnot.
  17. If not already answered, here's what I use (non-saitek software, can't stand that stuff) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187246
  18. Great pictures. I had a laugh at the last image and thought "one of these is not like the others." :P The folks over at the Planes of Fame museum are fantastic. I had my wedding reception there back in 2014. It was the best venue anyone could ask for (and my wife suggested the place too!)
  19. Would be great to see. I could take a look at your finished work and see how difficult it would be to put it in the same format as the English version
  20. v0.8541 MASSIVE update. Now you can select new objectives without having to restart the mission entirely.
  21. good ol' ATC. I have had this once before. I was able to remedy it by once again asking for takeoff clearance, moving forward a bit (not entering the runway) and then telling tower to abort the clearance. If nothing else, you can depart ahead of the Yak, just circle close to the airport. Once you're clear, he should have nothing holding him back. P.S. the truck that blocks him was a way for me to make it so he wouldn't rush the runway without the player getting to a certain point of his/her start sequence.
  22. Hello everyone! Are you like me? To many modules (for me that would be more than 2) and can't seem to remember all the HOTAS bindings when switching from one platform to the other? Do you also LOATHE any type of software that comes with a joystick or peripheral? Well then here's a solution. Old fashion as it may be, it works wonderfully! I bought this little 9x5 3-ring binder, and then a 20 pack of plastic insert sleeves. Then found a pre-made diagram online of the X-55, edited it to size, and then printed a bunch of them. After that, I wrote in all of my own bindings for each button/switch on the HOTAS and voila. Now it's not a brain racking experience every flight trying to remember what was what.. A couple things you may notice on my diagrams. I have "I.R." on the Joystick which stands for Track I.R. re-centering and pausing. And then T.S. P.T.T which is Team Speak Push-to-talk. Anyway, here's a list of all my work. Feel free to use it and even come up with your own. Just thought I'd share, since it has proven very helpful.
