Am I reading your chart wrong? Page 2 on Radio Nav Equipment (short list) it says that the F-5E shouldn't be able to contact JTAC, but in the missions I've created, I can. The F-5 has the laser-guided bombs in it's arsenal. Regardless though, I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Fantastic work on everything you do! - Apache600

Brilliant! How was calibrating it? Great little box you have there. You may say it's "chunky" but I think it's done quite well. Nice work.
-
beware though, there seems to be a tiny bug with the pop-up points now. You can only select the distance from the target in tens of kilometers (10,20,30) I had a problem with it, and here's the thread I started: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183849 so to make Fishbreath's point work, you'd have to go 10km instead of 7km. So it would look like "180100" Thanks Fishbreath for pointing that out in my post also :)

+1 Great explanation

Good luck folks! I thought "Heatblur .... what the?" when the Viggen first went on Pre-sale. Makes sense now. Your first module has surely knocked it out of the park!
-
Best of luck! You could make a DCS: Fuel Truck and I'd still support you :) (please don't force me to be a man of my word. haha) This looks like it's been in the works for a while, since it's March, and your line says I hope you've already met your first goal, because you're already 3 months into your second one! Looking forward to seeing what you and your team are able to achieve - Apache600

This looks absolutely stunning! You guys really nailed it. And seeing the list of potential upcoming bombers, just wow! Can't wait to make some "Final Countdown" European edition missions :)

v0.8010 update! -
From "The battle simulator" website - "AC-130U DTT. Sensor and weapon operator procedures trainer for the USAF" complexity lightened? Now just dumb it down and hide the good classified stuff so us civvies can use it :) Hell, I'll take an FC3 version of the AC-130. I know I know, this is so far from ever happening. One can dream though. - Apache600

I really liked the Private Pilot text book from Jeppesen

That map is really quite interesting. I'll be keeping it +6 on the checklist :) And yeah, the poles sure are moving a bit. Some of the runways I've used in the past (in real world) have shifted from say 27 to 28. When I was getting my private rating in Oshkosh, in 2006, I remember it being about +1 degree. This map would show it as +2, almost +3. Also, the Nevada map almost looks like it would be +14 ... and I wonder when Normandy comes out, if ED will use +2 for the 2005 chart, or look back and see what the numbers were in 1944. Anyway, glad you guys like the Checklist so far. I've noticed a good deal of errors here and there, so version 2 will be out shortly. Again, any corrections you may notice would be much appreciated. - Apache600

Ok, so what am I doing wrong here? I've got 4 difference sources, and am doing everything verbatim to what I'm seeing, but I can't for the life of me get a U* to show up. It just jumps straight to M* Target is at B2. turn B2 to M2 by TAKT In, 9, B2. Easy enough. Enter coordinates for U2. TAKT In, (ex) 130 at 9 km. I've tried entering 130090 and 310090 , and then press B2 again. Then back to AKT POS Out. Now when I pass B1, or select B2, it only cycles to M2. I'm never able to see a U2 - Apache600

Hello everyone, Updated to VERSION 2 Binder edition I'd like to share with you the Checklist / Quick Reference guide that I created for the AJS-37 Viggen. Feel free to download them from the attachments below (scroll all the way down to the bottom of this first post. there's 12 pages in total), or by clicking the link above the sample pictures. That is a single PDF that contains all 12 pages. Those 3 pictures are what the pages look like. (shrunk down so they're not obnoxious). Here's the new Binder Addition! :book: (2 additional pics below) Link to the v2.0 binder edition here --> https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8D9__Jf0wgITDRGWnlMdUJ2TGM I printed this at Staples and then cut off the access margin's. Total was $14.00 :disgust: But that included the binding, clear plastic front and black vinyl back. It was also printed on a more durable 110lb paper. I made these with the idea of having them printed, and not for the in-game kneeboard for VR. These are similar to my SU-25T and MiG-15 checklists. Version 1 was pretty much a monstrosity. Remove, delete, reformat, Do whatever you need to do to trash that garbage. haha. This version improves upon the old one in every way. Checklist that doesn't double up, or use non-existent commands. Better flow to the CK-37 portion. Weapons references are refined. etc. Again though, if there is anything that looks out of place, incorrect, or incomplete. I know my "Emergency" section is a little lacking, but I hope to elaborate more in that section in the future, and I still need more data on the Recon stuff, so that portion has a pretty large blank space set aside. Thank you everyone! Fisherman82 did a great job with converting the text of this Checklist/Quick Reference guide from English to Swedish! Here's the link to his post where you can find it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3139182&postcount=27 - Apache600 Google Drive link to the PDF file (so you don't have to download all 12 pages individually): https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8D9__Jf0wgIeVUtUHZqTE4yb28

This is really cool! Good luck with the testing!

Holy cow!!!! And I thought your Beacon Map was an absolute marvel. This though ... is simply incredible. Thank you for all your hard work! I don't even want to guess at the amount of time you must have committed to putting all of this together. - Apache600

MiG-15/F-86 Campaign Announcement
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
@Branston, Glad you're enjoying it so far! The campaign is updated via the regular way DCS facilitates their updates (when the game checks the version upon start-up) I checked the released version of the campaign against the latest build that I personally have, and they do match. So everything is currently up to date with the post here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174511 " However, I don't have anything inside the Campaign that would tell you which version it is :/ I actually planned on doing something in the next build/update that would show a version number of the campaign on the campaign description blurb. - Apache600 -
[Problem] Campaign activation on mission 6
Apache600 replied to alexbap's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Glad to hear that it's working again alexbap! And thank you for the help BIGNEWY, that one was WAY beyond my knowledge :) -
Before I get to the pointers, let me explain that there's a way you can do away with the long "set-up" times. It's what I did when creating and testing this mission, and others. (It would have driven me insane to have to fly that long just to test the last few parts of the mission time and time again). Say you played the mission, and failed (or passed and wanted to play it again, haha) click "Watch Track" on that debriefing page. This takes you back into the mission, but everything you did is going to play back. So no need to fire up the aircraft and taxi out, take off, and fly the route. Just sit back and watch your past self do it all. However ... you can accelerate time :) Fast Forward to the part where you want to fly it again, hit Esc, and click on "Take Control" There you have it :) Now here's some pointers: - Apache600

Hello there clarasdk. Glad to hear that you're enjoying the campaign. And yes, the MiG-15 version of this campaign is the same as the F-86. With regards to the issue you're talking about, yeah ... it's known, sorry about that. I tried to remedy this by setting the Mi-26 to explode after losing a certain percentage of it's life. I've done that in other missions too, where it has been really hard for the F-86 to gun something down. Click spoiler for some other info about the mission. - Apache600

Thanks for that awesome write up TheDoctorB, I like the "non-spolier" attribute there ☺ Glad you enjoyed the campaign!

Hey there PB0_corse66. I think in my next update I'll have to put a little text blurb stating that this is normal (the engine failure). You're not the only one with that question, as you've seen with doing the research on the forums. And I see you asked about the MiG-15 as well. Are you flying two campaigns at the same time??? In the post you saw, that held the answer to your question, I hinted at how I made the MiG-15 engine stay off. For the F-86, no one ever checks the circuit breakers :) I use the CB to make it unable to restart. And if someone gets wise, and checks that the CB is actually popped out, and they push it back in .... then I just pop it again and again and again. It's a cruel world. haha Glad you're enjoying the campaign so far! Take care, and Happy New Year! - Apache600

2 !? Yikes. I know the beginning of this mission bogs down a bit, but that's below even what I've got. Have other missions been giving you less than 30? I've improved the next mission (7) because I was getting in the low teens with that one during an active fight. Click "spoiler" to show more - Apache600
