  1. Alright, so I test flew this mission a number of times today ... and everything is working as I wanted it too. Granted, the F-86 version of this mission IS a bit more difficult than the MiG-15 version. Current DCS version during my testing was v1.5.7.11476 I flew this mission 8 times with the F-86. Here's my results (and yes, I died a lot, but it was for testing purposes ... :) or at least that's what I'm telling myself ) 1: Success - Flew like I did when I first built this mission. Offset myself from the shoreline (flew over sea) and attacked SU-25's from their flank. 2: Died - Flew straight at the formation, Saw R-60 come straight at me when range was close. 3: Died - Flew straight at the formation, no R-60 this time. Got shot down by an R-60 later as I failed to check my six often enough 4: Died - Tried to take off from ramp (to quicken the testing) got shot down by R-73 5: Died - See # 4 6: Died - See # 3 7: Died - See # 4 again 8: Success - Flew straight at the formation, no R-60 shot at me. Merged and fought while continually checking my six. Splashed all 3. With the MiG-15 I flew 3 times. 1: Success - Flew straight at formation, no Aim-9. Shot 2 A-10's down, 1 hit the hills. 2: Died - Got shot down by ... something ... taking off from the Ramp of the airport (just like with the F-86 version) 3: Died - After shooting down 1 A-10, I let the other 2 get on my six. Wanted to see if they'd fire an Aim-9 at me. They didn't. Instead, I got BRRRRRRRRRRRRT to death. (ok it was more like just a quick BRT, haha .... poor little MiG-15) - Apache600
  2. Thanks folks! Really happy to hear the campaign is still enjoyed by many.
  3. 2 quick questions: 1) if I do some basic math, it looks like there are 48 possible key bindings to the combined base and handle, is that correct? 2) The axis on the back side of the throttle handle (looks like the wheel thingy) does it snap into it's center position, or does it roll smoothly from one extreme to the other? Much thanks, this thing looks great! - Apache600
  4. @SnapRoll, Finally found a solution to the helos colliding (or so I think ... I've thought I've found solutions a few times in the past too :P), that update it will make DCS 2.5, and hopefully I'll be able to carry it over for 1.5. @Vivick. Bombing with the MiG is painfully difficult, haha. That's why every mission is still able to be completed with well placed 23+37mm rounds. It's just icing on the cake if you can hit with those darn things with the bombs. Thanks for the report too. Sometimes if players time things a little slower or faster, there's a chance for radio calls to walk on each-other. I try and make it so that won't happen, but as I'm sure you realize, I can't factor in all of the different variables. I will certainly take a look at this to see if I can be more efficient about it. Thank you good sir! - Apache600
  5. Ugh, none of this was ever intended. I'm sorry. They shouldn't be as aggressive as they are. I'm currently working on bringing the campaign up to v2.5 standards, and making sure this isn't an issue there. I should get a fix for this 1.5 version too, but gotta focus on 2.5 first.
  6. Problem still persists, at least in DCS 2.1 (NTTR)
  7. Thanks for the heads up QuiGon, This issue is unfortunately sprouting up in the MiG-15 version as well. I believe it to possibly be an issue with the aircraft (especially since it's showing up and registering in the debriefing) Hopefully it will be resolved in the future, but thankfully it isn't something that stops the campaign in its tracks. Thanks again! - Apache600
  8. Fantastic to hear! Glad you enjoyed it. I have yet to try VR at all, so hearing some of these testimonials is really making it difficult for me to continue being one of those Gen 2 VR hold outs. haha. Story is nearly done for a "future project" ... :) (it's gonna be a while though still) - Apache600
  9. new version (v0.307) that should fix CTLD issue.
  10. Thanks feefifofum! I thought of that one the moment I typed it into the response :) I appreciate the "confirmation" of my theory! I'll get that fixed soon.
  11. Will take a look into it. In the mean time, fixed a different bug, and version 0.306 is now available.
  12. Hey n26, thanks for the report. Just to confirm, was this with the CTLD loading stuff?
  13. Yes, but you're going to want to revisit the mission and probably do a bit of updating. Particularly if you have ground units. As you can see from some of the sneak peak pictures, the hills are now rolling, and the inclusion of additional trees and forests might have ground units inside them when they weren't before.
  14. "enthusiastic" Haha, thanks for the heads up feefifofum. I'll definitely look into that. Wouldn't "only designated" also steer them to shoot at the player though? Or do they do it with a little less hatred?
  15. Hey muse458, I haven't a clue :( It shouldn't be that demanding, as the mission is less than 16mb. Can you run the mission single player successfully, by yourself? I've had some people have a hard time joining this mission when I was testing it, they would crash out as well. One thing that seemed to help, was that before joining, they went in to the Mission Editor and just loaded up a blank NTTR map (just to pre-load some of it into the memory) then exited that, and then joined the server. But I never had that kind of a requirement for the person hosting it. You could give that a shot. Hope it helps ya! - Apache600
  16. This thread is no longer supported, it has been relocated here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205546 Hello and Welcome to the Las Vegas Variable Ground Attack mission. Now with Air-Air missions too! This is an all-in-one style Air-Ground, Air-Air attack mission for the NTTR map, and supports every flyable platform in DCS. All Fixed wing aircraft start at Nellis, while all the helicopters start at a FARP on the eastern edge of the city, east of McCarren Intl Airport. In order to activate a mission, you MUST select it through the F10 radio menu option. Once completed with a mission, you will have the option of selecting a new mission. You must first complete the mission assigned before moving on to a new one. All Helo Missions (except for Break-Thru) require at least one helicopter that can pick up troops. That would only be the Mi-8, or the UH-1 at this time. None of the aircraft (except for helo's that are "ground starts") have ordinance already loaded. So don't forget! To load weapons, you may have to press Left ALT and ' (period key for the MiG-21) -Those are for default key bindings- This is because I've noticed that trying to do the re-arm option through the radio menu doesn't seem to work all the time. CTLD only meant for Helo "Break-thru" mission. Only Mi-8's and Huey's can do rescue mission pickups right now. Mission List: - Unattended Depots: 3 Missions - City Missions: 5 Easy Missions, 5 Medium Missions, 3 Hard Missions - Country Missions: 4 Easy Missions, 4 Medium Missions, 4 Hard Missions (for Tonopah mission, only fixed wing set off triggers) - Strike Missions: The Beatty Bomber, A Primm Pounding, Laughlin Bridges, FedEx Express (only fixed wing set off triggers) - Helo Missions: Break-Thru, Hoover Dam Hoist, Boulder Bastille, VIP Pickup - Air-Air Missions: Helo Intercept, WWII and Korean Menace, Vietnam Vengeance, Modern Mayhem, Transport and Bomber Pick-Off, Large CAP Groups Mission Still Under Construction: - Helo Missions: Stratosphere Sling, Mountain Rescue Ground Mission Difficulty definitions: Unattended Depots: No enemy return fire. Easy - Intended to be completed by a single player. Air defense includes small arms and vehicle mounted machine guns. Medium - Can be completed by a more competent single player, but really intended for 2+ players. Air defense includes AAA vehicles (guns) some with radar capability. And a possible short range IR SAM unit. Hard - Intended for a small group, or team, of players. Air defense includes multiple SAM's, both IR and Radar. Air Mission Difficulty definitions: (These missions are mainly built for 1-2 players, except for the "Large Cap Group's" air missions. Those are more suited for larger groups of player's flying together.) Easy - Either a few non-retaliatory aircraft, or a single fighter with guns only. Medium - One or more retaliatory aircraft. Short range missiles possible. Hard - Multiple retaliatory aircraft with possibility of both short and long range missiles. AWAC's is available at 251Mhz (Chan 7 for aircraft that need it, Chan F for Viggen) AWAC is set to Immortal and Invisible. Easy Comm is enabled at this time for those aircraft that are out of Freq range for AWAC's. You can download the mission at this link here. It is unfortunately to large to fit as an "attachment" in these forums (16mb). So I have to go through my google drive account. Because of the file's size, google will say it can't verify a virus check on it. I would hope you can trust me when I say it's clean. Version 0.318 ( Mar 17th 2018 ) NO LONGER VALID go to this link: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205546 ***Click on the DOWN arrow that exists along the top banner of the page.*** I'm releasing this Beta to see what the community thinks of it. This mission is still a work in progress, and will be updated as time goes by. This is a very large file, so if you are joining a multiplayer server that is hosting it, expect it to take upwards of 3 minutes to load. Release History V0.318 03/17/2018 - Medium and Long range SAM units placed within their own particular groups. V0.317 01/10/2018 - AV-8B Harrier added (4 of them at Nellis) - Air to Air missions added, including voiced briefings. There are 3 ranges of difficulty in each category; easy, medium, and hard. The categories are: Helicopter, WWII/Korea, Vietnam, Modern, Transport/Bomber, and Large Formation - AWAC’s added (easy comm also enabled for aircraft that can’t tune OverLord in) - Admin Aircraft added for radio option menu to restart the mission in game. V0.307 9/18/2017 - Broke up Mi-8 and Huey groups so each Helo is it’s own group. This should fix any issues with CTLD. V0.306 9/12/2017 - Fixed triggers for Unattended Depot missions 2 and 3 so that after completing them the option to select a new mission will be available. V0.305 8/30/2017 - Public Release - Apache600
  17. Thanks for the reports guys. I'll look into this. The SU-25's in the past weren't aggressive, just defensive. Wonder if something changed somehow.
  18. Thanks guys. I figured that if the computer was smart enough to know the waypoints, it could have also put the reference line for a predetermined altitude. Good to know that's not the case! Yes, 5-7k is high for an attacking Viggen, but this is for a Navigation mission. All you're doing is relocating from A to B in some lousy weather. And for fuel burn purposes, it's more advantageous for a jet engine to be at higher altitudes. Airbusdriver, thanks for the ref. button info. I knew all the stuff except for the low level one with slav si on. That's pretty nifty :)
  19. Hello all, I have a few waypoints set up on a simple NAV mission, After departure, 1st waypoint is at 5000, 2nd and 3rd waypoints are at 7000, 4th waypoint is destination. The problem is, when flying the route, the HUD directs me to level off at 570 meters for the whole flight. When going to the kneeboard, and looking at the route, the altitudes are correct at 5k and 7k. - Apache600
  20. I entered as an instructor first, so that could have been it. Axes were not reversed, I moved it to its full range multiple times, and animation of the throttle showed correctly.
  21. Flew with a friend on a MP server yesterday. I was sitting in the rear seat, and "took control" after we took off. I was able to see the throttle and stick properly move when he moved them ... though the engine RPM gauge remained at zero. After I took control, the engine thrust went to idle (the engine RPM was still at zero, like it was when we took off). When I moved my throttle back and forth, both he and I could see it moving, but the engine failed to respond. The flight control (pitch, yaw, and roll) worked fine though, as did the gear and the flaps. Every time we needed engine thrust, I had to transfer control of the airplane back to the front seat again. Then when I took it, it was back to idle thrust. - Apache600
  22. Did you happen to see my response to you on your other thread?
  23. You should move this into the "Mission Builders' Corner" But it is possible to do a scoring system with cargo. Feel free to download my "Krasnodar Variable Ground Attack" mission. There are a TON of triggers, but I'll try and point you in the right direction. First off, the part of the map you want to look at is Grid DK88, that's where my sling load mission is set. And if you scroll all the way to the bottom of my triggers, you'll see the set of them for the sling mission. They start with trigger 69076 or something. This sling load mission starts out with a certain number of "points" and as time goes on, those points bleed away. If the points reach to low of a number, the mission fails. The only way to replenish those points is to deliver cargo to the area. Each delivery adds a single point to the total. Of course there's other ways of doing "scores" that's just how I did it in this mission. Here's the link for the Krasnodar mission: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169772 - Apache600
  24. I found that the failure stuff is a little spotty. Try adding the failure to the "advanced tabs" too. (the tabs where you set the waypoints, ammo, radios, and whatnot) Put in a "time" of something way out there, like 30 minutes or something. In my experiments, I found that you might need to double it up in order to do a failure.
  25. Massive new feature, "Special Points" added. v0.340 now available. See initial post for more details and download link.
