how much for the vr? now, is that crazy or what spending that on that when you have things like homes, cars, families.... computer=$$$ ... it gets to be quite expensive flying this stuff... :joystick: I guess if you can just spend and spend :doh:

can the coolie switch on the throttle of the TM WartHog be used to steer the AGM-84E SLAM, up-down-left-right ? I can't steer it, ran out of controls, I have Warthog in pinky switch mode for more controls. It will not steer. I don't have TDC control checked for the FA-18C. So, I don't have to press enter. It will not let me assign the mini stick in the FA-18C controls menu, or I would have chosen that control for 4 way switch. Thanx. btw, I can hit close to the target just by entering the waypoint. But close isn't good enough.

I am going to uninstall and re-install P-51 stuff... I don't see any other options,,,, see what happens,, thank you... It seems to be fixed after uninstall and re-install! Thanx for the help! should have done this many hours ago....

done it all.... been flying dcs since the beginning and lockon.... removed files, rebuilt with repairs,,,, tried repair a couple times... makes no difference... strange it happened to both P-51D and TF-51 but all other modules are fine... you cannot choose the P-51 slot in a server... and cannot fly a p-51 in a quick mission, or even a training mission... P-51D and TF-51D no longer available to fly. In multiplayer missions, cannot choose the Mustangs. In quick missions can no longer get into the cockpits, but can see the planes on the outside. In one of the latest patches it went bad, the problem started. My computer specs are in my sig. I see in other threads, people said some textures no longer work correctly, but not the same issue. I tried rebuilding the aircraft installs with the tools from SkateZilla, and tried messing with the files like people say in the forums, but so far, nothing has worked. I give up, above my pay grade. I used to have Saitek X52 Pro, and it would have 3 modes, and make it have 3x more commands with the turning of a number from, 1,2,3. But with the Warthog, supposedly I can change to a 2nd set of profiles with the toggle switch on the end of the throttle. Is there a website or somewhere on how to do this like I did with the Saitek. It would be nice, to not be so limited on the buttons and profiles. Not so bad when I do not need so many profile commands like WWII stuff, but modern need tons of more switches and commands. I was going to ask this a long while back, but didn't have the time. Thanx :joystick:

forgot to update: got the SSD drive last Friday, 3 days ago. So, it only took 2 weeks, and supposedly was prime.... I didn't install the heatsink I bought, I didn't want to remove the label that runs across the chips. I probably will not need it. I don't run computers that hard. Lost out of 3 weeks of the fly everything free. But, I can live with that, as it usually takes a week to make a profile I like, and would have to remove the free aircraft at the end anyways. Spent too much money, with new 2080-ti recently ($1100) (the Nvidia GTX 1060 was just too slow and old), plus the $200 Samsung SSD (I think it is among the best). Oops, and the $500 Warthog HOTAS. Luckily, the last computer I put together was a higher end, so the only lagging piece is the CPU. 3.3 GHZ. Then each aircraft,, and this and that.... probably have $4,000 invested in the last 3 years. No VR, No Track-IR. I think Newegg still has almost everyone beat for ordering computer stuff. But, Nvidia came through with the best price for my 2080-ti. Directly through their website. Although some sales at Newegg have close recently.

I usually order from Newegg, but my daughter, sent me an Amazon gift card. So, ordering from them, well, I better not say, I don't want to be booted... otherwise there was a good chance I would have gone Newegg. Been using both for like 2 decades. We all have our stories.... but not here I guess...

Ordered new SSD, mine went bad, Amazon lied about shipping times. Ordered 2 weeks ago with Amazon prime... have no computer to fly until my new SSD arrives. My old one went bad, had a crappy Phison S11 controller in the SSD. Amazon said Prime 2 days, then after the order they said another weeks, this is week 2. Not happy, if Amazon would have bene honest with shipping times... :mad: ordered Samsung 1tb 970 EVO SSD M.2

I have an RTX 2080-Ti and also had to reduce that MSAA (had no choice, as the GTX 1060 was no longer able to keep up, so I went for my last card I will ever need). My bottleneck is my CPU i-5 6600K 3.3 GHZ 3.8GHX Turbo In Il-2 Box series, I don't think there are any issues. Other than age and screwed up body with health issues. ==========

it happened to me too! I didn't say anything, I just copied it from my other install.... weird.. wasn't in the trashcan either.... twilight zone! :doh:

I have been to Trier,, I lived in Germany 3 years. Trier is really nice and fascinating history. A real shame, as it is very rare for our bases in Germany to lose aircraft. They have a very good safety record for as many flights they have plus the joint NATO exercises. I was with the 86th Wing many years ago.

I apologize for not responding with more info.. very bad week. Death in Family, had large trees being cut, one tree missed the landing spot. The only good news is I got my Harrier mavericks working. I had to work on the profile for my joystick. I never had to work on a profile as much as this one with the new Warthog stick. Thank you for the feedback, as the forum feedback let me know that it was issues on my end that stopped them from working.

I am going to try my non Beta install, but i have to install some modules that are not installed, as I have no flown my non-beta install in ages. As soon as it updates, I will try that version.

the mavericks were not working, not even in the training missions. They would not fire.:joystick:

ok, so far the bombs work ok,,, I think the mavericks either have the issues or are fixed, not sure... I think the mavericks were easier in the past, or something went bad in my setup..

cannot get Mavericks with the Harrier to work any longer. Have ran this module for a couple of years, but lately, cannot fire mavericks, and have uninstalled and re-installed the module hoping it will fix whatever got corrupted. I also installed a new Warthog HOTAS, but it was working good up until a couple months ago, not sure when these issues started, but this year? I searched the forums and looked at other issues and fixes. Doing another re-install, hopefully, it was just corruption from what I don't know, I really don't think I have any mods, and I have been flying DCS beta for a couple of years. :huh:

the developer usually get the sounds inside a turbine helo wrong.. you hear much more turbine inside, just a hint of rotor slap. that's with the doors closed and flying.

I ordered a new Thustmaster Warthog Hotas and also a 3 years extended warranty (Square trade) with it total $515.00 NewEgg. I will have it in a week, Amazon is out of stock and back ordered. FYI. other places had it a couple dollars cheaper, but I went where my experiences are the best, with the good prices. IMHO

I am in the market for new Hotas, my old Saitek X52 Pro is in pretty bad shape... best I can find is the WartHog Hotas complete, with shipping for $450.00 USD. I researched my other dream Hotas, and it is so hard to try to get them from Virpil,, and other, that I don't see any better choices, especially on the mix of price and service. If there is, I couldn't find it. Been flying 20 years. Not going to try to get on these waiting list for places 5,000 miles away, and built in a garage, and hoping the e-mail is answered this year. But, I am open for suggestions, but I need to order a new stick setup asap,, mine works well enough for il-2, but DCS, it just sucks have a screwy stick...
