HI. makes no sense to me cat5 and cat 6 are same size connector. RJ-45. maybe more info. Are you putting your own connectors on the cables with a tool for the RJ-45 ? You might try Youtube for more info also this thread should be in the tech section

I was there 3 years, a long time ago, and never thought that would happen. It might or might not, Under Nato. And only for a quick in and out.

I was unable to launch HARM and Maverick - what did I do wrong?
Ramstein replied to Hoggorm's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
sometimes it is Helpful to go back to the training, built in DCS. And watch the training videos too. -
if you are 100% in into flying and want to really enjoy it, then you need high quality gear... you can't cheap your way out of it... IMHO

I missed the chance to photographic our wild weasels at a SAC base I was stationed at. I was afraid of getting into trouble for taking so many photos, after spending a zillion hours in B-52's tankers and around Wild Weasel F-4's. They didn't take kindly to people running around with cameras.

you are right,, I found out I had taken some fire and found out after I flew a while.. and apparently the small arms fire hit something that stopped the weapons from working... at least this last time... guess no redunancy built in ..
-
Sometimes, I get the ATGM ready to fire, everything is correct, and on the screen on the hug, it says fire, fire, fire, each time I hit trigger, pickle, etc. when I hit my trigger.. but it will not fire. I know everything is correct, as the same settings are used when it does fire. it seems intermittent. I have the Warthog HOTAS... been flying the Hind since it was released as Beta. it just seems it is intermittent, anyone else have this issue? thanx..

I went to run the mi-24 training video for starting and taking off, and it got to near the end of the starting and stopped at the point at where it should have went on to take-off..that never happened. I have had the module since it was Beta release and flew it a lot for a while, but want to do the training.. so I am not sure if that part of training ever worked properly...

We had a squad member who flew Hellcats and Panthers in the Navy. I got to chat with a guy who flew F4U's off a carrier in Korea. I also chatted with others, like a guy who was in the Flying Tigers, and also a guy who was in B24's from North Africa to Romainian Oil Fields. Most of those guys are gone now.... a lot of other countries were stil flying our older stuff up until the 1960's. I saw a squad of Later 50's era Air Force Jets flying in South America in the 1980's, wing to wing one time while flying. Looked out the window of our aircraft and saw them in fomation off our wing. We were 30 years ahead of everyone with technology...

The Harriers that flew the Falkands would fuel up in Germany and would take off, and stop at about 40 feet up, and the pilot would goof around by waving to us with the aircraft, with tipping the nose up and down to wave goodbye... then go back to the UK. This was 1981. It took quite a bit of fuel from there, about 400 nm in distance. So it was a full load of fuel. The harrier never foundered of looked or sounded unstable at any point. They always used the VSTOL. Always.
-
I worked with the Harriers that fought in the Falklands war... and when I serviced them, they had no problems at all taking off landing and goofin off... and never took on any water when they visited my airfield and going home over in Europe back then... these feel unstable and yes, different models... but it makes me wonder... of course I get the feeling some other aircraft besides these have been undermodeled too, but it is so hard to prove... and found even if you bring engineers and pilots to the modelers they stil dig in thier heels, as was the case with the engineers and combat pilots I knew a while back who tried to work with some flight sim modelers, and got no where. Not here, but other sims. I know a combat helo pilots who tells me things in some of the helos he taught and flew combat missions and they too are underpowered. So, I guess you can bring up charts, photos, affivits and swing dead chickens around... but it comes down to whomever makes the model. Good luck, we are rooting for them to be closer to the real thing.

A long time ago it worked, then it didn't, then was fixed, then not, then a large overhaul, and was suppose to be correct, and went through a long re-learning curve, now again, for the 5th time it is messed up... unless it is me. But I see other pilots also have posted recently, recent months, it is messed up... More specicially the radar is not seeing other places, and having problems locking them... I can't keep up... just disapointed and in my controls with the Warthog, looking to see what is going on. I thought he last overhaul was the big fix. What the heck is going on, 2x a year it is messed up... or is it me?

Jtac not moving to 2nd tank after killing first Jtac lit tank
Ramstein replied to Ramstein's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I went into the Jtac in mission builder on the mission map, and asked it to lite the tanks, each as a group. And then flew the mission and reset the target lock and i then would proceed with the next tank, I would then lock, and then the next, the next, etc... (my mind went blank with the exact command.. with the 'C' key.. with the maverick search and lock) -
Jtac not moving to 2nd tank after killing first Jtac lit tank
Ramstein replied to Ramstein's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
yes, Jtac is not just for Hornet, wasn't sure where the question should asked,, since I wa inthe the F-18, Posted in F-18. maybe put question in Combined Arms. I don't know if it an issue with the script and settings in the setting for the map with Jtac. Am hoping soemone will know... -
Jtac not moving to 2nd tank after killing first Jtac lit tank. Have a group of enemy tank lit up by Jtac, using Tac to mark a group of tank. using Mavericks with F-18. After calling up Jtac, they lite up/mark one of the tanks, I kil it with Maverick, then, I expect the Jtac to lite up another tank, etc, etc, until all ammo is expended and or tanks are all dead. Jtac stayed lock on first tank after tank was killed. I looked for a similar question in the F-18 threads, and did not find the answer. Thanx. I did find this, but not sure if is the answer.. btw, this is multiplayer, with a host running F10 script. I found this in the Combined arms threads after more searching... not sure if this is relevent. 3 Posted June 27 JTACs don't task you to do DEAD. The Ground Commander has an intent, like "I want that target gone" or "Cover us while we get out of here" or whatever. The JTAC uses airpower to meet the Ground Commander's intent. Now I'm not saying the in-game JTAC is particularly good at the job. But without specific tasks, targets will be assigned in I don't even know which order. And unless an air defense is the assigned target, it may come up behind an unarmed vehicle. If you want more fine control, you can assign individual targets and also target marking methods to the JTAC using the advanced waypoint actions and the FAC task, if memory serves. =================
