I see! In your first post you are confusing physical button 6 and physical button 19, which is logical button 6. No, there are no physical button 6, but there is a logical button 6. :)

Looks awesome! Is there a build thread that I have missed? Would love to see some details...

Performance Chart For RTX2080TI / I74790K CPU
Goblin replied to Tinkickef's topic in Virtual Reality
This sounds very promising. I would love to see some FPS numbers. And, I’ll wait until I can get a liquid cooled 2080TI. Shouldn’t take too long, but there will probably be more performance reports before before then :) -
Performance Chart For RTX2080TI / I74790K CPU

Does SSAA work in VR? What kind of FPS do you get? ASW on or off? Do you see a difference in image quality between PD 2.0 and 2.5? -
Are the T50 grip and Warbird base going to be available....
Goblin replied to ElCuco68's topic in VIRPIL Controls
I’d listen to Cyph3r here ;) The Thrustmaster Warthog grip does not have an analogue brake lever. The MT-50 does. Before I got the MT-50 I used my own home made brake lever. -
The VPC MT-50 also has an analogue brake axis on the stick grip.

Didn’t watch the announcement. Is the Quest work with a PC, or is it completely stand alone?

Well, from looking at your rig, it looks like you have the DIY skills needed. The hardest part was the sewing. But maybe you get that done at a shop, or maybe glue the fabric to the cushion. Depending on how the seat frame is constructed, it might be enough to just make a cutout in the seat cushion, and leave the frame as it is...

Got my MT-50 Throttle today. Already had the stick grip and base. The throttle look and feels great! I don’t think the adjustable detents are weak. Sure, it would be even better with finger lifts, or such. I need to make a stand for my SimBox, which is undergoing a major upgrade at the moment. I doubt I will be able to try the Throttle in DCS until the weekend. And... Ordering the throttle wasn’t hard at all! I registered at the webshop and paid with a credit card. Easy as that. Don’t see why this should be an issue for some ;)

Doesn’t affect me? You cried and complained on an open forum, when you could have just contacted VPC or VKB directly. Hence, you were asking for other peoples input, didn’t you? I mean, there is a question right there in the heading. I tried to give you my input on the matter, but you didn’t like that. I may have been too subtle in my approach though, since you didn’t get it. I tried to make you see that you are the problem. Not VPC. You asked for it. :) Now, you are correct in that I don’t know you. Don’t think I want to, either. Bye now.

Life is just too short. ElCuco68, have fun! ;)

There’s more to selling products than design and production. If you have a company like VPC, you have employees, taxes to pay and laws to follow. I don’t know? You’re the one saying VPC needs to get their $h!+ together because you are unable to order their products. I have ordered the MT-50 stick grip and used it on my BRD stick. I then ordered the MT-50 Base. Even sent it back for a new one, because I broke it. Excellent customer care, BTW. My MT-50 throttle is now in country. Should be here today, or tomorrow. So, maybe I know something that you don’t? As I am successful in ordering their products, I mean. I make my own controllers too. :)

Nope. Totally missed my point there. I’m not talking about business tradition or anything else you brought up in your post. I don’t think Virpil, or VPC, want these delays any more than you do. But they operate from a former Soviet state, still finding its way towards the global market thst you talk about. They don’t have the same resources you and I are accustomed to. They operate in a part of the world where it’s not just a matter of investing more money to make money, as you put it. But if you don’t want to understand, there’s nothing I can do to make you :) The upside is that they make some of the best joysticks available for our niche market, even if it takes a while to get it out to the customers. And again, I was able to order their products. Maybe I can help?

As is the Ukraine, where they also speak Russian. :) Yeah, mine as well. Last time it spent two weeks in the export customs. My point was, that it is hardly suprising that things may progress slightly slower than what we westerners are accustomed to. That doesn’t mean VPC doesn’t ”have their $h!+ toghether” as the OP says.
-
Or, Belorussia... :) Semantics. For the purpose of conducting business, it’s still not done according to western standards. Their postal and customs service is a nightmare, for one. Though, last time it wasn’t so bad. Maybe they are improving.
-
Yet, many of us have been able to order, and receive their controllers, in that period... VPC started out small, and clearly have growing pains. What I find interesting about your post, is that you are applying your western style of business logics to companies based in Russia... What makes you believe that they have the same possibilities as western based companies?

Thrustmaster Warthog with F15 style grip
Goblin replied to flashben's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Their website is closed until october, but Virpil has TM and VPC compatible tailpieces in their lineup. -
The advantage of using a on/off switch, and then have MMJoy2 do different output for the on and off states are that you use fewer ports on your controller. What controller are you planning to use? Button matrix or shift registers, for switches? I have used the Teensy2 for my projects. Last time I used shift registers, for the input, and that was really easy to do.

I don’t know where you’re getting this? Valve, who made OpenVR, is in on OpenXR, along with all major players in VR. It’s a way of standardizing the VR/AR market, just like Vulkan will standardize 3D for multiple platforms. Khronos group are behind both inititives. Why should ED opt for Vulkan, but not OpenXR? It doesn’t make any sense.

** AJS-37 Viggen Update! New Afterburners & Features! **
Goblin replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Yes. The RAT deploys when the nose gear strut compresses, and stows again with the landing gear. It is open during ground operations.
