That’s due to the Masksize. Check the readme for info about how to change it. I use 0.605f for my Rift.

Blue73, I really like your idea! Someone should make an entire button box, with individual overlays, like this, that the user could configure as they want.
-
Yes, StarVR produced a VR headset for high end commercial users. Pricey as well. No doubt about that. But it’s the wording ”for you”, on an open website, that is intriguing. Why that particular choice of words..?
-
Yeah, the wording ”we made something for you” kind of implies ”for the masses”. I’m excited to see what it is.

Check this thread. Seems to be the same problem. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215116 -
Pilot's seat + curved stick extension.
Goblin replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The problem with a curved extension is that you move the grip away from the center of gimbal rotation. So, everytime you move the stick in the x axis (roll) you are also subjecting the gimbal to a twisting force. And the plastic gimbal of the TM Warthog does not like twist loads. It’s just a matter of time before the small articulation sphere, inside the Warthog base, will crack. VKB has a curved extension for their joysticks. See pic. You can make a seat out of a car seat. There are several cheap options available. The question is how much DIY can you handle? ;) -
Spitfire - Issue with 3d Model, Rudder to Fuselage area
Goblin replied to CGReload's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes. It’s not a perfect smooth curve, all the way. But please read my subsequent post as well. You are falling behind in the discussion ;) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3584673&postcount=10 -
Spitfire - Issue with 3d Model, Rudder to Fuselage area
Goblin replied to CGReload's topic in Bugs and Problems
I tried superimposing Monfortons drawing onto a flipped copy of joey45’s pic. There seems to be something odd about the leading edge of the vertical stab, and the dorsal fairing, but one can’t be completely sure when comparing 3D models to 2D drawings. -
So, you do get an answer if you contact them? https://virpil.com/en/blog/137-vpc-pre-order-dispatch-update That blog is open to anyone. Did you sign up to the newsletter? You pre ordered a product. Yes, their projected release date has slipped. That happens to early access software as well. Not to Razbam terrains though... ;)

Spitfire - Issue with 3d Model, Rudder to Fuselage area
Goblin replied to CGReload's topic in Bugs and Problems
Right there in the drawing... Here’s another drawing of the tail. This time by the plastic model manufacturer, Eduard. I know their research to be very good, but I guess one shouldn’t consider it the gospel truth. There is a kink where the dorsal fairing attaches to the vertical stabilizer. I think it looks a lot like that last pic, in the post above. -

I answered in your other thread. Not a bug, the way I see it. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215574 -
7-8 port USB 3.0 HUB recommendations
Goblin replied to mdee's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have an IcyBox USB3 powered hub, and it works great! -
According to the book «Spitfire Mk. IX & XVI Engineered» by Paul H. Monforton, some early Mk. IX Spits retained the wobble pump even after the electrical pump was installed. The wobble pump was removed on later production aircraft. So, some had both.

This is ED:s forum... ;)

My point was that it is a solution, if all you want to do is do some carrier traps in DCS and you have a problem with Oculus Home. It is not a solution if you want to use Oculus Home, while doing your carrier traps, which wasn’t obvious to me, when reading your post. I have now deleted my earlier posts in this thread. I was only trying to help.
-
Very likely a propulsion issue, maybe because of inlet choking, considering the performance increase with colder temperatures.
-
It sure does! Good find.

Although no Viggen pilot I ever talked to, ever reached Mach 2... The fastest recorded speed was 1.97, I believe. But hitting a «wall» @1,85 doesn’t sound right.

Spitfire - Issue with 3d Model, Rudder to Fuselage area
Goblin replied to CGReload's topic in Bugs and Problems
I checked with Paul H. Monfortons "Spitfire Mk. IX & XVI Engineered" book, and there should be a kink there... Looks right to me. -
I’d like to bump this thread... ED, could you please add separate gear up and down commands, like the Spitfire has, in addition to the landinggear toggle command. I suggest this as a standard on all modules.

I use masksize 0.60f with my rift, and it works great. I think it may be some personal preference with this. It may vary some with IPD and if you use a thinner face pad. I use the VR Cover thin pad, and my eyes are slightly closer to the lenses, compared to the stock Rift. I have read about Rift users using 0.58-0.64 masksize. The shader mod works really well, and the performance increase is substantial.

Yeah, the initial loading of DCS, and the first mission load for each theater, takes a loooong time! -
VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Goblin replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I use 0.60 Masksize for the Rift. Are you using Notepad ++? https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v7.5.7.html Did you save the file, after editing? -
VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

I experienced a very noticeable increase in VR performance with these shaders. Great job, Kegetys! You are definitely on to something here. Keep up the good work! -
