We definitely need more quick reactions tha just "Like" and "Thanks"!

Soooooo.... I just found this on HB Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/posts/658586646030809 Does that open the way to cooperations in DCS, too? Is there going to be a stream of IFE MSFS module being converted? Are we going to see, say, a DCS F-35 made by IFE & HB? Speculate away!

I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying that inferring the opposite, that is that the naval Phantoms won't sell as well as the E because they were only in US and UK service, isn't necessarily true; many people buy the modules just because they love the aircraft they models.
-
Well, there are a lot of Cold War servers and scenarios in which that won't be a problem. Nice video, BTW, very interesting! Honestly, I never bought a module paying any attention to what Country had it in service: I have to like/want the aircraft, everything else is secondary. I might be wrong, but I'm guessing there is a lot of people out there that thinks in the same way.

Beside what Czechnology said, and just for the love of precision (or mere fastidiousness), the last pre-order for a third party module, as someone already said before, was in october 2018 for the F-14.

Community A-4E-C v2.3 (May 2025)Gianky replied to plusnine's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World Well, the current FAQ goes like this: «Q: Are there any plans to obtain the Eagle Dynamics SDK, make the module official, or make the module a part of the default DCS install package? No, the A-4E-C will continue on as a free and open-source resource anyone can download and install to enjoy.» What I was suggesting would be compatible, at least with the "free" and "anyone can download and installt to enjoy" parts, not sure about the open-source one. IMHO, having the A-4 as the third free (and only FF, combat ready) module of DCS World would be a win win for ED and the developers; maybe they could think about it one more time.

Community A-4E-C v2.3 (May 2025)Gianky replied to plusnine's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World Well, we have some official replies I like NineLine's reply better, that "as of right now" allows me to keep overthinking things!

Community A-4E-C v2.3 (May 2025)Gianky replied to plusnine's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World Actually, they used the A-4 in other occasions... of course, it would be great if the A-4 would be adopted by ED as the third free module for the basic game. I honestly don't know why they didn't do that, yet!

As I said, hope dies hard! And, yeah, sorry, I seem to be living in the past, it's for today!
-
New patch announced for tomorrow: probably just a hotfix, but, you know, hope never dies...

I want my lights to smash!!!
-
I'm still stuck at work, has anyone tried the aircraft after the patch, to see if the taxying issue was fixed/improved?
-
	IIRC, the F-14.

Thank you for your answers, guys, especially you, @Aussie_Mantis! Lots of good info in your reply. Thanks, unfortunately I have the 1979 version, and the other ones I have are for earlier E batches (1F-4C-1 of 1970 and 1972). Guess I'll have to wait for Heatblur manual!

	Lucky man!

If you really want an early Phantom, you can have one of the pre-production F4H... it's not even that expensive https://www.platinumfighters.com/inventory/1959-mcdonnell-f4h-1f-phantom-ii/
-
I believe there was never even a prototype, just a proposal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_McDonnell_Douglas_F-4_Phantom_II_variants#Proposals
