  1. Oh, sure. But you don't have to tell me that, it's 79Au that is not satisfied with the current terrain selection: I guess he wants more iconic maps for US past wars. Personally, I'd like to have more theaters, too, but I can wait for them, and I know that I can use the F-4 and the other aircrafts on the ones we have, even though not always under the banners I'd like.
  2. Guys, I think you're all missing the point 79Au was trying to make: he doesn't care about other users of the Phantom or the F-15, he wants terrains where US forces fought wars, like Iraq (which I would like very much, too), Vietnam or Afghanistan.
  3. You're welcome! I'm actually surprised he doesn't have more viewers and subscribers, it's really good stuff!
  4. Hey Eagle! I suggest you take a look at Mike Solyom's excellent Youtube channel "The Ops center": what you're looking for it's the 5 video series about BSA (basic surface attack). Mike takes USAF training manuals and summarizes in his videos the basic principle of A2G and A2A as thought to pilot candidates. https://www.youtube.com/@TheOpsCenterByMikeSolyom https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLd5Qdmhmp3Y6LH36D_Nlyt7yh6bZA06oB In the conventional pattern video description, you'll find a link to a mission you can download to practice (if you have the F-5, you don't have to do anything more, if you don't, just add an aircraft you own via the Mission Editor).
  5. I don't know them, but I assure you, I had to restrain myself! Feel free to shoot some PM my way, if you feel like it!
  6. I know that, Alpha, but since somebody was wondering about difficulty and the help that GIB can give, I simply stated that you can fly the airplane from behind, if they wanna try to refuel from there. As for the Phantom receptacle, to be very politically incorrect... don't read it if you have a modern sensibility!
  7. I'm sorry: if we can switch to the backseat (at least in SP, not sure about multi), can't we simply fly from behind? F-4E should have a second set of flight controls, right?
  8. Or make you mad, considering Jester...
  9. Hey Czech, is that a speculation of yours, or has it been stated somewhere by the devs?
  10. Don't give up on it, it's just a matter of practice, choose the one version you like, adapt it and make it yours, keep repeating it, always making the same steps, and before you know it, it'll be so natural you'll do it without even thinking.
  11. Thank you SorelRo. I'm afraid it really is out of balance: I tried everything, including, as you will see, not following the route and trying to sneak directly to the enemy column, but it's so close to the reservoir that eventually they come hunting me down. I'll try flying further south, even though I'm afraid I'll end up in SAM land (besides, a couple more jets come from SE if the 21s die...). Please, fix it, if you can!
  12. Yeah, I was impressed, especially by the cockpit, so clean! It looks like the devs decided to skip the dirt and wear textures!
  13. Are you sure you're not talking about Italy? (Just to be clear: I'm Italian and the state of GA in here is very similar to what you're describing... ultralights are the only thing saving us flight enthusiast)
  14. Ok, I give up. How the hell are you supposed to win this mission? Air to air cover is useless, the 4 MiG-21s mop the floors with the Phantom and the other F-5... I tried to sneak away but they always come to me and I have to fight. With ordnance under my wing. Even when I get away from them, I'm low on fuel and have no more flares and I find myself on the wrong end of an Igla. I'm attaching the Tacview track of my last attempt. Any advice is welcome. @SorelRo did you, by any chance, rebalance this mission after the changes in AI BVR and BFM behaviour? Maybe put 4 Phantoms in CAP, instead of only 2? 15. I found at least a couple of different meaning for the acronym F.E.N.C.E. (yeah, it's not a word, it's an acronym). In the end, I memorized this one and I use it all the time, for all aircrafts, of course adapting it to the different models and situations.
  16. I think you mean shoot down, as hit while in the air and take them down? Theoretically: yes, you can do it. In actuality: it's probably easier to win a lottery!
  17. Feel free to give us a taste anytime!
  18. Yeah, I get it; I haven't seen episode 155 yet (I'm still at 151), but I imagined that it was extremely expensive. On the other hand, that paints a bleak future for the warbirds community: while we grew up in an era where it was (and is) still possible to manage to keep old fighters flying (meaning, for us, WW2/Korea/Vietnam prop planes), in the future we (or our sons) won't be able to enjoy seeing the then old 3rd/4th generation fighters in flight, barring rare occasions in which wealthy organizations will be put them in the air.
  19. Too bad! It's a pity that some of those birds don't end up on the civilian market, as it happened with WWII ones. I guess the costs would be too high for anyone but the richest persons.
  20. Guys, does anyone know what happened to Japanese Phantoms? Were they scrapped or mothballed and put into storage?
