Thank you and the Team for your work, I hope my test can be useful. Got it, I didn't think of WOW, it makes perfect sense, the airplane was leaning heavily on the side.

Hey guys! First of all, @6S.Duke and the team, thanks for this fix. I've been more or less vocal about this bug, lately, both here and on Discord, and knowing that you guys are working on a solution, even if we don't see or hear anything from you, it's reassuring. That said, unfortunately the bug is still here, even though it might be less obnoxious than before. I'm gonna post some tracks, hoping they're not corrupted and can be of help. I set up a couple of 339s with high weight in a training mission of mine in Caucasus and used a couple of airports where I knew the bug presented itself, Anapa and Kobuleti. All tests were run on the single threaded version of DCS. In some of them (tracks 1 and 6 to 8), I set up a 55 degree (direction from where the wind is coming) 6 knots wind, with no turbulence; in the others (tracks 2 to 7 and 9), wind is coming from the same direction, but it's 12 knots and there's a 6 *0.1 feet turbulence. As you'll see (hopefully), the crashes (IIRC) all happened on the missions with the strongest wind settings; also, it appears to me that it happens only when there's full rudder/nosewheel applied, or there are strong lateral forces on the airframe; IIRC when I taxied without too much steering, even at high speed, there were no occurances of the bug. I hope these tracks and my little report can be of help to finally squash this nasty bug. If you guys want me to run some specific test, just ask. One more thing: in the last tracks you can see that NW steering deactivates itself when I steer at high speed or on the grass: is that normal? Could it be somehow related to the issue at hand? I didn't say anything because I don't have the real world -34 and I didn't have anything to add to what IvanK already wrote, but I do care and I'd like to see this and other bugs (chiefly, the randomly occurring damage/explosion during taxi, due to inexplicable accelerations on the airframe). And, by now, I do think this module has been put aside by the devs: and I do hope they'll prove me wrong, very soon hopefully.

Community A-4E-C v2.3 (May 2025)Gianky replied to plusnine's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World Do you have the brakes on axes? Try to invert them: when I map right and left wheel brakes on my pedals axes, they always need to be inverted, if I don't do that, they'll be active in the aircraft when I'm not pushing on the pedals in reality and vice versa.

Did anyone experienced this bug after last patch? Any hopes it finally went away?

Does it work on Normandy 2.0 map?Gianky replied to YoYo's topic in P-51D Operation Charnwood Campaign Talking about changes to the campaign, I just played mission 9, the one where you have to cut a couple of railway junctiolns: well, it may be my bad skills at reading maps and dead reckoning, but it seemed to me that the images in the briefing and the kneeboard are now outdated and don't describe the targets accurately with respect with the new terrain.

Does it work on Normandy 2.0 map?Gianky replied to YoYo's topic in P-51D Operation Charnwood Campaign I have FPS issues, but since I'm running VR on a 1070, I'd say it's first and foremost due to my videocard; gotta say, btw, that I had fps drop only when in areas with several AI units. I'm running the MT version esclusively, right now.

Does it work on Normandy 2.0 map?Gianky replied to YoYo's topic in P-51D Operation Charnwood Campaign Hey YoYo, I tried it for the first time yesterday, everything seemed to be fine, except that I couldn't communicata with Ruqueville field on any channel (not the usual B, nor any of the others), I'm wondering if the field frequency has been changed on the new terrain.

What report is that, @Mikep821? I think I missed it.
-
Surely, it'd be nice to have some update from the devs on this problem: right now, it's keeping me from flying the 339. From what Duke said in this thread, it is, unfortunately, a very randomic and unusual issue, I'm guessing it's really hard to track down it's source and fix it; we should provide IFE with as many tracks as we can to help them find the problem.

Anyone notice this in the latest OB? This is cool!Gianky replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in DCS: MB-339 There's a nice article on the Fighter Pilot Podcast website about bomb fuzes, unfortunately it's more focused on the new ones rather than the old M904 we have for now (more will be added by ED later). I'm sure if you google "M904" you'll find something.

Anyone notice this in the latest OB? This is cool!Gianky replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in DCS: MB-339 IIRC fuzes for the MK-80 series were introduced in the previous OB patch, in January. They're not a 339 feature, they're a new core game feature.

Thank you, Rudel, downloading now! I do have FC3 installed, so I'm gonna try the 104, too! Copy, thank you! EDIT: Razo+r, if it's possible, you might want to change the name of the folder on filehorst.de, it say "stable", people could be confused by that, too.
-
Wow, thank you Razo+r, that was fast! But I'm a bit confused, can I use the 2.5.x - 2.8.x versions of the mods, which are labeled for stable version, for open beta, too?
-
Hey there guys! I never installed VSN mods, but I can't resist the attraction of the last F-4B and F-104 versions! I'm on latest OB, 2.8.2.35759, which download I have to choose? The links in the OP don't seem to point to the ones I need for my version... Thank you for your help!

Thank you for making me discover Misty!

Oh, sure. But you don't have to tell me that, it's 79Au that is not satisfied with the current terrain selection: I guess he wants more iconic maps for US past wars. Personally, I'd like to have more theaters, too, but I can wait for them, and I know that I can use the F-4 and the other aircrafts on the ones we have, even though not always under the banners I'd like.
-
Guys, I think you're all missing the point 79Au was trying to make: he doesn't care about other users of the Phantom or the F-15, he wants terrains where US forces fought wars, like Iraq (which I would like very much, too), Vietnam or Afghanistan.
-
You're welcome! I'm actually surprised he doesn't have more viewers and subscribers, it's really good stuff!

Hey Eagle! I suggest you take a look at Mike Solyom's excellent Youtube channel "The Ops center": what you're looking for it's the 5 video series about BSA (basic surface attack). Mike takes USAF training manuals and summarizes in his videos the basic principle of A2G and A2A as thought to pilot candidates. https://www.youtube.com/@TheOpsCenterByMikeSolyom https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLd5Qdmhmp3Y6LH36D_Nlyt7yh6bZA06oB In the conventional pattern video description, you'll find a link to a mission you can download to practice (if you have the F-5, you don't have to do anything more, if you don't, just add an aircraft you own via the Mission Editor).
-
I don't know them, but I assure you, I had to restrain myself! Feel free to shoot some PM my way, if you feel like it!
-
I know that, Alpha, but since somebody was wondering about difficulty and the help that GIB can give, I simply stated that you can fly the airplane from behind, if they wanna try to refuel from there. As for the Phantom receptacle, to be very politically incorrect... don't read it if you have a modern sensibility!
-
	Thank you, Diesel_Thunder!
-
I'm sorry: if we can switch to the backseat (at least in SP, not sure about multi), can't we simply fly from behind? F-4E should have a second set of flight controls, right?
