I don't know about this specific issue, as I haven't tried refueling, but to me this feels like a completely different aircraft in 1.2.1 More stable hands off, but much more sensitive on the stick.
-
Still broken after the patch. I'm running 1.2.1 released yesterday. I click connect and the game crashes.
-
Yep same crash. Um wtf?
-
Hardcore sims always get mixed reviews. Especially from todays generation of instant gratification gamers
-
So after installing 1.2.1, on first run the new auto updater said there was an update. Oh and it appears the audio triggers ARE fixed in this patch even though they aren't in the notes.
-
I'm fairly certain the manufacturer does not recommend landing in the ocean :D
-
Good pilots are already crazy.

Am I missing something here? I mean the tone after gear up/down lasts all of maybe 2-3 seconds and then its gone. The only time it stays on is if there is a malfunction, and that's usually good to know.
-
I want to see the old Harpoon re-imagined in the world of DCS. Like DCS: Combined Arms only for the Naval world.
-
Does this fix the audio and voice triggers that were broken in 1.2, or do we still need to install the separate fix for that?
-
Does this fix the audio and voice triggers or is the separate fix still required? EDIT: Nevermind, I guess that would be part of DCS World now. My Bad.
-
That seems a little rude man. How was I supposed to know? Regardless, I thought I WAS up to date except the jump to 1.2 and DCS world, which i've resisted becaause 1) I don't fly MP, and 2) I've heard mixed responses with many saying its better to not upgrade. I'll go update to 1.1.1.1 right now.

v1.1.0.7 Just flew from Mozdok to Nalchik. Nalchik tower gave me a QFE of 3869 which, when set, gave me an altitude close to 8,000 higher than what the radar altimeter was saying.
-
How do I tell what version I am running? I know it is NOT 1.2 because i've heard some mixed things about that version so have not upgraded.
-
I wonder if it has to do with my mission that I created not having something set properly. But when I got a QFE of 3995, it gave me an insanely high altitude which was incorrect. As Falcon states, I did NOT convert it, but others are saying the QFEs work for them? Is everyone converting them?
-
The one time I tried to use it, the indicated pressure gave me an altitude that was over 7,000 feet off.
-
EDIT: So a bit more reading and I realize I was indeed confusing QFE with QNH. Still though, I don't understand why we're getting useless radio calls. Who the heck here can convert that in their head? Or am I still missing something. I mean I can ignore it all and use the radar altimeter, but why are the ATCs giving values that can't be used?
-
Right. The QFE value is supposed to be the barometric pressure that when entered into your altimeter will give you 0' when on the ground at that airport. They however do not. They are very far off. As in off by thousands.
-
I'm sure others have noticed this but I just ran into it when I decided to be "proper" on my approach and set the altimeter for the new field. The QFE codes are WAAY off. Are they just gibberish and there for flavor or something?

I say a small prayer every night that we will get a DCS F18 or F14 with Carrier ops. In fact in my little perfect world there would be a DCS Naval version of Combined Arms, and a DCS Naval bird like the 18 or 14.
-
So I checked out a bird to do some ILS training, and what followed was .. interesting. I never did get the ILS practice lol. On my takeoff roll my nose gear literally just exploded, launching my aircraft up into the sky quite quickly. I didn't realize what had happened at first, other than the thought that "uh oh, something just broke!" I was already climbing out though, and the caution panel looked clear, so I continued to my destination. Once at my destination, as I was preparing to land, I lowered my gear and noticed that the warning beep that usually comes and then goes away, was not going away. Something was wrong. The caution panel still looked clear, but wait, whats this? I notice that the gear indicators only show safe for my main gear. This is when I realized that something was wrong. In the replay after I noticed that the nose gear was completely gone! I landed with just the main gear, and while the sim let me live, i'm pretty sure if this had been real I would have been dead. I need to check the track again, but I THINK this happened because I forgot to turn off nosewheel steering, so I probably overstressed the gear. Of course in reality I would have expected it to just break, not explode! Enjoy! no nosewheel landing.trk

Sweet thanks for the link!

Sorry I was asking more, is it realistic to be shooting an anti-tank weapon against an aircraft. What i'm asking is would a T-80 be doing this in real life.
