  1. That's the Pinky Swith, Ctrl left + P.
  2. HAPPY NEW YEAR BUDDIES!!!
  3. Yes it seems to be good, 5 stars rated, just black and white printed apparently even if the preview is showing colored pics... 671 pages... The good one I think:thumbup:
  4. Ah!! Thank you! I got a knot to my brain now!! (sarcasm) Joke aside, you can do it via triggered actions. But what do you want to do with transport of troops?
  5. Yes, mostly in the flight school (military), when you go into the simulator, that's only to learn emergency procedures. You will never feel the "depth" in a sim, or feel the air flow that makes the aircraft flying, but you can learn all the theory and stick it into your memory to apply it IRL why not?! Beginners are too much worried about, as I was, but it took me only one month to be used to that bird and to have fun. If you're motivated, you will do it. No need to be a crazy aviation fanboy. No worries.
  6. Alright, CA is still in beta, if the bug has been reported, the 1.2.3 should solve it then.
  7. Yes but you can't set a SPI with ground vehicles to send it to an A10, the system isn't the same. Only the SADL works.
  8. It will work invisible or not, if not, the chance for your TACP to be killed increase ofc. Just that. You have to set in order your commands, the 0 is the highest priority. Imagine your JTAC IRL : -he finds a spot (you place it on map) -sets his camouflage and stay hide(you set him invisible) -he announces his callsign and its frequency (IRL at a JTAC commander) -he spots the targets that you assign and yells at the radio :) Also I think nothing as to interfere between the communication commands, try to set the status of the unit before everything else, e.g immortal, invisible, anyway you want him to be invisible before doing its job so... Hope this helps! Have fun!! PS : you're very welcome :)
  9. Hi, I got it working. Try it. I just deleted and added it again to be sure, set "invisible" in 2nd command. He's giving me all the targets. JTAC TEST.miz
  10. I've an ASUS motherboard, the hardware is really great, the only issue I had was caused by all the useless softwares like ASUS Suite which create conflicts with Windows and the BIOS. So don't install those pointless softwares and it's all good!
  11. heuuu... wait? Possible? You mean designate your SPI and send it to your teammate right? But that's only the A10 data system, that's different to the red symbol you can hook (same effect though). JTAC's use computers especially designed for the infantry. For example : http://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/rover-sics-tacair-on-americas-enemies-updated-01700/ Keep in mind, it's espensive and some TACP team still use the good old 9 line card to transmit the target informations, and it's up to the pilot to get it right.
  12. Edit the mission and check for your units if the box "Player can drive" is ticked.
  13. Unfortunately, the answer is no... :/ http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91230&highlight=datalink+CA
  14. Yes that's an option, but I'd like the JTAC to confirm a good hit. It would be more interactive than checking out by yourself, you know. I'm gonna try : if target damaged > group deactivate (my target) Is a bomb defined as a unit itself?
  15. Eddie you're exactly the person I was waiting for... :)
  16. I like the sound of that gun!! Maybe there's too much treble nah? :D
  17. I think the CCRP is more accurate, cause you can stay in a stable position at high altitude, your target is precisely locked by a SPI, if you miss it will be by 30 meters approx~ and you're less under pressure. Also, it depends of your sight, if you choose the 3/9 or 5 mil constent release mode. Dive bombing/CCIP solutions are dangerous, because you need an attack dive so you're exposed, and since you know you're exposed and the ground is coming closer and closer, you can be a bit stressed and make some mistakes, as moving the aircraft, lost your reference point,... or simply be shot down  It can be precise, with a LOT of training and experience... About the ToF, it depends of you, if you have a precise timing given by the JTAC, it's up to you to calculate what do you need, programming a CCRP is the best solution, set your target as waypoint with a DTOT then you have your desired speed to come there at time, calculate what will be your DTOF, with that you can't fight the clock and be efficient about hit a target at a desired time. Of course, if you think about dropping unguided bomb at high altitude, you have to check the wind (everybody! briefing in 5 minutes!!:ranting:), but IRL (I can be wrong), I mean in documentary and stuff, I see a lot of guided bombs (GBU12 and 38 being used). I suck with math and physics (would be proud to learn) but about the speed, if you drop a bomb at high altitude, there's less drag, so it drops faster, coming close to ground, it slows down. At low altitude, the bomb can hit the ground before reaching its maximum speed cause the air density will be the same at a given altitude, whatever the speed of the aircraft releasing it. I know I sound weird :D Conclusion : -try to use guided bombs when you can -CCRP offering a stable and safer solution -reducing the TOF can be done by CCRP too PS : I think you can also set the desired time of fall in CCIP mode, I'm doubting. Waiting for correction.
  18. Hmm nice idea I'll give a try, but I think the JTAC need to see a destroyed target to go on.
  19. What's the trick? You can choose between 4 gun sights in CCIP, if you just select the simple cross you should better see your SPI but anyway, you must aim on your target at a moment so it will disappear. IMHO, it comes with the experience and the training, being able to lock your eyes on a speck on the ground as WildBill said. PS : Why do you use the gun in BVR? That's not possible if I take you to the words. When you use the gun, you're supposed to have a contact with the target.
  20. Hi mission makers :), I'm a guy training a lot (To be & to Last lol) and I like to get my training missions real. i.e not destroying an active enemy target, that way I can experiment :captain: some new tactics without to care about being hit by bullets or whatever, it's psychological, I want a safe area to do my crazy stuff and use training ammunition :D like IRL. That's my argument. So I'm used to drop some civilians cars or trucks and bunkers as targets, and I load training ordnances (bdu-33, practise rockets, TP gun ammo...). Sometimes I also use live ordnance of course. The point is, I want the JTAC to confirm that's a good effect without having to destroy the target. If you drop a bdu 33 on a car, the JTAC will ask you for an other run, even if the bomb is right on the roof of the car :smartass:. I want him to confirm a hit and shift to the next target. So I tried setting some triggers, if target damaged>disable unit AI but it doesn't work, the JTAC still ask for more, maybe because it's not really AI. I also thought about placing a trigger of 15 meters wide, as such, if the bomb falls within the trigger area, that's a good hit, otherwise that's a fail and the JTAC ask for an other go. Problem is that I dunno how to connect that trigger to the JTAC. Is it possible? Thx for your help, I know I'm pushing the realism at its really far end :) but I still think DCS is having some lacks with training, IRL it's a big part of a pilot life, and I like to have some realistic training in game even if some can find it lame and pathetic :dunno:. DCS is bringing a realistic gameplay for everything else but not for the training IMHO, there's not even a training task in the ME!! For my part, it's missing:cry: I can't argue better. Regards!!
  21. Yeah Falcon 4 BMS is great but getting old, I didn't have the chance to try the multi and I'm more an A10 fanboy so... You seem to like the difficult gameplays, you knockned at the right door. I've been playing 3 or 4 times with Ralfidude and its mate Linebacker, two great guys having a huge passion about flying, they were doing some trainings at 6:00PM USA Eastern time, sign up on their forum, you will get some informations.
  22. Ok thanks for your expertise. I wasn't reinstalling for that reason, it's because of the "Freetrack of the death" software.
  23. I got those weird shadows on the sea, the cloud density was 6 but I don't remember the thickness or altitude. I can see it from the cockpit and it's worst in external view. When I move the camera, the shadows are like "scrolling down" on the sea. My settings are Shadows High, Visibility Med, Water Low. I'm reinstalling the game anyway, I will see if it's still here...
  24. Could ED implement a brush cutter that we could use? :)
