How does it look on the CA front? Any chances of trying that again in 104th missions? Would really like to see the possibility for frustrated CAS to drive SAM's toward their A2G area and protect themselves. :D Also could we get the different FARP's where possible on the Briefing screenshot? And a little description or grid on the briefing, was earlier in the Shark, shot out ABRIS and the FARP wouldn't answer on radio... Was a nightmare! :D edit: also what about maybe a jtac that spawns if >80-90% of units got destroyed? Sometimes we search for 3 1/2 hours... :(

Is DCS running? Maybe try as admin? I often have problems like this in the user folder, when that happens I copy the file into another folder, modify what I want & copy it back. :D

While I might not share the alarmist attitude of the OP, people make here make it sound as if problems with Starforce are completely unheard of, which is simply not true. When one monitors the Steam forums for a while, this stuff comes up again and again. Also many people are honestly scared off by this particular DRM, not only by the name but especially by the hardware activation. I can't understand when people tell "np you can just deactivate all your modules before you even touch the screw's of your PC case"... Why do I even have to? As DCS modules grow in number this is only going to suck more. Never mind bogus activation bugs where you lose activations etc. which is simply frustrating, sure make a ticket, support bla. bla. Why even add the additional layer of stress for us & ED? But anyway, Starforce is here to stay, very much doubt that is going to change anytime soon. Btw I was aware of DCS for quite a while before I bought the A-10C in 2012, this particular DRM kept me away.

Yes you need to consider which switches you really want and which you maybe bind normally to your joystick.. (+ modifiers etc.) For example I have the radar ON/STANDBY directly on my stick and radar OFF on stick+modifier.

The why is simple, let's take the 2 way switches (EAC, RDR ALTM, APU etc.) for example. They only transmit one signal to the sim - ON. You flip the switch UP and they tell the sim button X was pressed. Let's say you bind MASTER ARM to one of those, to activate it you have to flip the switch UP (signal transmit button X). To deactivate you have to flip the switch DOWN and UP again for the signal 'X' to be transmitted. What we want here is to have the switch work in both directions (UP = ON, DOWN = OFF) which is only accomplished via .lua editing. The A-10C has this stuff by default, 3 way switches too.

I am sorry for posting a off-topic question, but does anyone know if there are similar profiles/mods for other modules aswell? I am looking especially for something BS2 2/3 way switches related. :) edit: If there is documentation regarding input .lua customization I would be very thankful if somebody could point me in that direction, my googlefu seems to be quite lacking here. First thank you for raising the clouds, will check that out as soon as I find the time. On the ID's that is very very sad to hear but makes sense. In practice often people don't care, or even react if you tell them this. Earlier it took around 5 minutes to get a guy to react that I called by name... :P I will have to think on this, speak to some mission editors and maybe petitition ED again. Hey guys, in the mission Operation Dragon Shield there are two groups of A-10C's which have both the same flight numbers. (2x Hog 1-1 etc.) which of course will end in rage inducing TAD-conflicts. I propose to merge the groups and only have so many hogs that the flight numbers won't get into conflict. edit: Additional whine, can we raise the clouds to around 12-14K AGL? TGP can't look through it and fighting strelas etc. is horrible. :D

I just overflew the thread but I think this was stated before but needs to be stressed, imagine the following situation in DCS:World with the A-10C. A target area with a Radar-SAM (let's say TOR) and a IR-guided SAM (strela). Now if you fly with the program on AUTO or SEMI a very ugly situation can occur. The TOR is tracking you with radar and the system selects the appropriate program, the TOR fires and you defend against the missile... If the Strela fires at you, the system will keep the setting for the TOR and even though you may have defeated the first radar missile with chaff, you won't drop any flares for the IR-SAM that is coming at you. Needles to say this can be very dangerous to your health. You don't even need to edit the default programs, just switch to manual mode and use the first four programs. (There are extra HOTAS key's for this stuff: prev-next, start/stop-program) A. Is a bit chaff slowly, I use it only if my chaff get's low. B. Lot's of chaff, very good against all radar sams. C. LOT's of chaff, almost always defeats a IR sam with maneuvering. D. A good amount of both chaff & flare. ( I am using this program for A2A threats also)

Can somebody check in the Eagle - topic waypoint & RANGE. Am I seeing things or does the HUD data not relate to the compass? (Compass range wouldn't move at all for me..) edit: (normal NAV mode)

Anyone else have trouble to update? Can somebody give me the exact version number so I can update manually via command prompt? :D (It's beta right?)
