My open alpha install is 71 gb....7.8gb which are extra files mainly skins. As per Bignewy: Anyone who has not tried a cleanup and repair here is a short guide Remove your user mods if you have any, and backup any changes go into your Eagle Dynamics/DCS World Openalpha/bin folder. There, hold Left Shift and right click and click "Open Command window here." Then, type the following exactly as printed: DCS_updater.exe cleanup this will delete all non official files then do a dcs repair DCS_updater.exe repair

Thanks Vibora for your reply. In my humble opinion...only mine..at 4k there are too many canopy scratches that glint in the sunlight at certain angles.Far more that any other aircraft in the game. Keep up the good work:thumbup:

Thanks for the fixes including banding visor. Please get rid of the warping canopy glass...it adds nothing but annoyance imho. Some news as above would be appreciated..otherwise she is getting parked forever....sadly:noexpression:

Got 10 to 15 more fps around airfields by turning water down from high. No water reflections but you wont really notice. Btw water is rendered all over the map.

Yes its only a small texture bug but it spoils the cockpit view for anyone that remembers the view before. I dare say it has been around at least a year. Very observant you are.:megalol: I have faith in ED on this one. Faith ===loyalty===?

Yes this bug has been here for quite a while and needs fixing once and for all.

In the trackir software 3d box top left "display" use camera view and make sure you are centered. Dont quote me but in the real A10C I think the real pilots have to lean in a few inches to get all the hud. So when the game starts up and the view is stable lean in a bit and press your default centre key. Your head naturally moves back and the hud sides go missing.This works quite well and feels natural. Im no expert though.

I got 15 fps more at least after turning down water from high to medium. Felt much smoother too. Gtx 1080 at 4k.

Thought Id chime in with my FPS tip I only just discovered. In Dcs version 1.56 dropping the water setting from high to medium brought at least 15 fps more around the usual low fps places like senaki. It also felt a lot smoother and you wont notice the missing water reflections. Gtx1080 at 4k...Mustangs mod.

Hello guys I made a zip with just the updated descriptions of 10 or so of my favourite downloaded M2000 skins.All credits to their creators. The default UAE skin located in Coremods was broke too after the 1.56 update. All the rest are located in Mods. Updated M2000C DESCRIPTIONS.zip

Please tone down the cockpit canopy crazing...it is too much at 4K. The helmet sunvisor is a very good addition but please remove the banding in it.

Try turning down light filtering in the trackir gui. It greatly improved disconnects and freezes for me.

Hello Mustang Having a small issue in this latest version in the winter season. The main noise texture has a colour or contrast mismatch with fields and airfields...which are darker and stand out. Anyhow Im still using your last version which is fantastic for me. Cheers

What happened to the trackir aiming option in special menu. Because to me it is broke.A constant flickering of the sight and mount.

Hello all Im no expert at the Huey but enjoy it immensely. Is the white dome light a bit intense?? It cant be realistically that bright in the middle of the day in bright summer. It needs toning down a bit...imho:unsure: Feel free to swat me down if Im talking through you know what:gun_rifle:

DCS ver 2.05 Hi all Anyone else experiencing strange behaviour on the ground? In the "cold start" instant action mission after starting and trying to taxi the plane veers in the opposite direction even though the nosewheel is fully to the other side??:music_whistling:

I adjusted the pilot view in the C101 after the update to DCS 2.05...too low and too close to instruments. Heres how... pause trackir...orange light press keypad 5 to center set fov using keypad / and * ...usually back 3 or 4 clicks holding right control and right shift use keypad 2 or 8 to set height of eyeline .....3 up for me press right alt and keypad 0 to save new position unpause trackir...green to go Experiment for yourself:pilotfly::thumbup:
