Just a repaste for all VR users...thanks to Torso Try this. It will remove the apparent nylon hose stretched over your eyes you are seeing things through that follows your head movement. DCS night lighting still is terrible. But this should help with that issue. Steps to follow: 1- Disable OVRService from Task manager (Services tab) 2- Open Regedit.exe and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software 3- Right click on the Software folder > New > Key and name the new folder "Oculus" 4- Right click on the Oculus folder > New > DWORD 32bit Value and name it UseSpud 5- Set the value to 0 6- Start OVRService again and put on your headset 7- (Probably) be amazed at how everything looks clean and black If it doesn't work for you or don't like it just delete the UseSpud file from Regedit and reboot ps...it makes night feel more real and natural! One of the last remaining issues for low light flying is the banding sky.....ED.

Switch the Oculus services to manual. Dcs starts in normal 2d then. Use Oculus debug tool to start services and run Dcs in VR.

Not sure if they changed the brightness of the cockpit in todays update but if they have its gone too far the other way. Lots of bland meh greys in VR. uuugly

Having flown over the gulf a couple of years ago at night going on holiday...the screenshots in the first post look realistic to my eyes. I was amazed at the lack of light pollution...being an amateur astronomer. The dry desert air with lack of moisture being the main reason.

Hi...just wanted to report night vision in VR is not centered in the minigun module latest build 2.51. Plus any chance of a fix for VR sunvisor/glasses. Got a fix in double time from Aviodev so heres hoping!!!

One of the best mods ever for DCS!!!! The menu and music are amazing. Cant wait for a flyable civvie. Congrats to all involved in its making.

Get it now....ypu will not regret it one bit. It is the next logical progression towards a military flight simulator. Sure its like a not so sharp big projector screen but it changes the whole flight experience. 2D cannot match the immersion.You are in the cockpit not looking at it. Its hard to put into words the difference until you try. I am waiting on the next gen too and look forward to that.It will be even more freaking awesome. And big kudos to ED for making our game so VR friendly.

Middle mouse double click then roll wheel back. I do the same in A10..a couple of clicks back. Press left alt+c to bring back cursor. But you might have to lean in a tad to see all of hud display.

I have had this one or twice since 2.5 release. I hope its related to the memory leak issue. Checked one time and DCS was maxing out my 16gb. A restart of the game will fix it temporarily. ED are working on it

In VR the cockpit is the best by a country mile. A new high standard. Buy it..you wont regret it.

Agree with all the above. Cockpit too dark and 2 different glass crack textures...both overdone. Possibly adding to lower fps. Looking forward to a fix as I enjoy flying her immensely in VR.

Got a spam email purporting to be from paypal support saying my account was locked...log in here!!!!! Which I wasnt. Clearly connected with my attempt to purchase Gps module. Disappointing.

Thanks BIGNEWY for your reply... This is the same card I have always used to purchase all my modules. The card is valid and paypal works for other stuff. I will not be trying to use another card.

Hello Is there a problem with Paypal today? Trying to pay for GPS module but keeps bouncing back with card error.

Settings..ui layer...recenter ..works a charm

My advice is to do some more saving to get a better gfx card. One thing I learnt over the years building rigs is if you buy a low or mid range card you will need to upgrade it a lot sooner...so you dont really save anything in the end.

Havent tried ultra shadows fitness88 but will do. Flat only for terrain object.

Just in regard to antialiaising on a 4k screen. Anything more than 2x is not needed and will just increase the performance hit.

You look like you have a top rig..do you run 4k or multi displays? Perhaps the wrong combination of game settings can cause issues even on top hardware.
