  1. Never before Blueflag has DCS mp been so enjoyable, rewarding, engaging and importantly co-operative between all levels of players. This is what I think you're not grasping, BF is available to all and anyone however they wish to approach it. To bring this down to a play my way or no way is to close down the availability to those that know no better, the new guys, the part time players any future DCS that wants to try DCS mp. Blue Flag is the current standard bearer for what makes multiplayer actually worthwhile, it's the ultimate mp lure that covers all modules, so much so that ED should be handing out medals and freebies to the Buddyspike team for the amazing promotion they do for this sim. It's not impossible to have both sides of the coin, and i'm sure we will, but for now it shouldn't be that we remove such freedom to all just to have the other.
  2. You can change game options, co-ordinates to MGRS. Just look at the F10 map in game, you will find the co-ordinates you're looking for there. Top left of the screen if I remember correctly.
  3. Towards the end of the 20th century and beyond the F3 had become a very capable and seriously upgraded fighter. Any fighter carrying AMRAAM has the advantage against any fighter not carrying it, add in JTIDS and ASRAAM and you have a very effective tactical fighter.
  4. Losing scanning track happens to all radars in DCS when the aircraft is abrubtly moved, this could well be a feature. TWS is not a direct display to what the radar sees, it is a predicted track file that uses history and prediction to show contacts. This is rightly modelled by DCS as a scanning profile rather than a hard lock profile. If it was the same as STT then it wouldn't be TWS it would be an unrealistic STTWS. What Rbs Model is lacking is the history to keep a lock when tracking is lost, it seems the F15 has this feature.
  5. I can't argue with that, after all you're making so much sense.:dunno:
  6. Your link says Ka50 can do 460km/h in a dive, did you even read it?
  7. I guess you don't Mi8 much, don't worry Ka50 doing 400 is really gonna boil your noodle.
  8. What has this got to do with anything, general consensus on this was desync.
  9. Don't worry princess just the DCS ucid will do. ;)
  10. The lack of mcu for the AIM-120 was an oversight that was soon resolved. Tornado certainly doesn't want to merge with those aircraft but those aircraft don't want to go BVR against an AMRAAM carrying F3 in just the same way. ;)
  11. I'm not saying there is nothing wrong because there clearly is but i've never had a single disconnect and lived through several mass purges, server works great for me. I guess i've jinxed myself now.
  12. I hope Razbam are looking into the Mirage stratosphere performance as well, last time checked a fully fuelled and armed Mirage out accelerates and out climbs a half fuelled F-15 with no payload. Not to mention the altitudes you can reach.
  13. As far as i'm aware sensor export only stops you exporting sensor data outside the sim. The datalink within game shouldn't be affected by this unless you're exporting it to external software which is what you're innocently doing with your pit. So in essence it is not the dl that is being classed as a cheat as you say (this should work normally in game), but the use of the sensor data through external software that will not be allowed.
  14. And you know this because of? It has been mentioned of the actual Flanker having limited stick movement and stick vibrations of 8Hz. Lets get back to ED recreating a simulator based on real life and how rl influences can be translated into DCS instead of the thought of ED simulating a simulator.
  15. This is all well and good and obviously pretty much in tune with having basic understanding of the platforms limits. But a real pilot knows how much G he is experiencing and will be able to associate the G-meter reading with his initial pull and translate that physically when not reading the meter in a merge or defensive position for example. This level of interpretation just doesn't exist in the sim meaning what is a perfectly safe stick application becomes disastrous after the apex of a loop or applying roll after a circle etc. The notion that you have to constantly watch your G-meter as the only way of understanding your aircrafts load is counterproductive to combat efficiency.

    ECM upgrades

So would an AIM-9 to the face. :) I think everyone is onboard with GG's point in having a fluid selection but like you pointed out earlier, for any unexpected events the emergency release counters the IR threat be it from BVR or entering the merge from a BVR engagement. But on the other hand if you have BVR with chaff only and also an option with chaff and flares you then have the option to select the correct BVR program suited to the briefed enemy and engagement profile.
  17. The question i'm interested in is just how hard would it be for a real pilot to pull so hard against the FBW and G to break his wings. I'm guessing pretty damn ridiculously hard, something ED can't simulate, which is where this wing breaking simulation nonsense fails. It's like making a plate spinning simulator where you can't see the plate, only the stick, what a crap shoot that would be.
  18. 104th PHOENIX SATAC 2016 Champions Congrats 104th, great flying and worthy victors. Also well done to Team China as runners up who flew fantastically all throughout the competition and added to what was an action packed Final. Final result was 3-1 to the 104th Phoenix over Team China, the challonge is marked incorrectly at 3-2 and can't be edited, my fault sorry guys. (the fourth round was a draw after Team China failed to RTB due to fuel) Well flown everyone and see you next time. http://challonge.com/7nw0idv4 Replays can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B2caroubzqYUanVZUDNWczgzWUk
  19. AMEN to that. BigNewy deserves huge rep.
  20. I had an incident last month regarding rep that shocked me. I got neg repped accompanied by some unsavoury comments about my intellect in relation to a response I posted to an innocent guy looking for Huey action/taxi driver, I harmlessly suggested he try Blue Flag. The neg repper never posted on this thread nor gave any indication as to why he was so bitter. So I checked through his previous posts to see if i'd upset him somewhere, no previous contact but looking at some of his posts I found it strange that it was actually my intellect being questioned. I can only recall ever neg repping someone once before but this one had to be done. After doing so I noticed this guy was suddenly a red reputation, wow, a sense of power but also guilt came over me. It makes me feel that the rep system is nonsical and repping posts would make more sense.
  21. Both Su27 and Mig29 radars are designated as 'slot back' by NATO.
  22. I've actually done a 180 to chase and shoot at a missile locked up with eos thinking it was a bandit, consequently I was shot up the ass by the shooter. :)
  23. The n001 radar on the Flanker uses the same signal processor and same array, although larger, as the n019 topaz used on the MiG-29. https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Kt2ZaOilGXIC&pg=PA169&lpg=PA169&dq=n001+vs+n019&source=bl&ots=vQIWcLXDG_&sig=LmVjkTr8q5ZmmaLj9LLUYl_xEGA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjpsbmgmrfPAhWmC8AKHbYHChMQ6AEILjAE#v=onepage&q=n001%20vs%20n019&f=false
