  1. +1ing you on that, it does seem like that from just reading, seems most people arent at all interested in a balanced discussion, they want their favorite missile fixed, and want the rest of the missiles to stay crappy.
  2. cool, also does this perhaps happen when you are clicking fast, the ka-50 starts pitching up slowly, or starts to bank, basically the trim is changing its position, but there is no movement of the stick. track in the newest beta. Ka-50-2.trk

  4. Who ever has the FFB joystick, could you please take off, and trim the helicoter for forward flight, then keep the stick where it is, and start clicking the trim button fast, and tell us if both the virtual (the Rshift+enter screen) and the real stick move in any way

  6. if someone wants to easily see how everthing works in relation to the AP and joysticks, go to D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\FM and in the FMOptions.lua file, change HelicopterTrimmerTauInverse = 7.0 to HelicopterTrimmerTauInverse = 1.0 or HelicopterTrimmerTauInverse = 0.1 thisll slow down the time the trimmer takes to kick in.

  8. even with centered stick options clicked on, the helicopter will still have a 10 degree nose drop when your release the trim.

  11. well sith theres one little glitch that would make people so very happy (at least flight squadrons) and it would take like 5 mins to fix. there is no default replacement texture for the ka-50 and it shows up bright orange (the missing texture, texture) when you are using a custom skin. the community has been able to fix it them selves, but it requires an install. Anyway the shkval problemo, im going to try reinstalling, since my open beta install is not exhibiting the same insane issues that my non-beta install is (which has been updated continuously since 1.2.3).
  12. Sure thing... linking the same video for the 20th time i think listen to the trim sounds. The helicopter does have a slight bump when a trim happens, but no where as insane as in the game.
  13. I understand very well how it works, but i would like to have the ability to use click trim and hold trim, click trim the way the trimmer is frustrating, and that russian pilots usually click trim. anyway, not a how dumb the trimmer is thread.
  14. yes i know the thing with the slewing, but it should not be going to 100km either way, since the max laser range is 15, and it didnt use to do it, that I am sure of, and when it also does the opposite and instead of increasing the range it puts it on 0. the track doesnt show it, when you lock and move the shkval a tiny bit horizontally and it jumps to 0 after the laser has stopped lasing, or when you dont have a track the range jumps to something random the moment the laser stops firing. You mean a helicopter thats incredibly unsafe to fly since a trim press at the wrong moment could mean death, i dont think the real helicopter dives 10 degrees after the trims pressed, and also this behaviour is not exhibited with an FFB joystick or when you hold trim, or in the mi-8 if im not mistaken.

The issue with the shkval is that its incredibly hard to replicate, it seems it happens less on newly made missions than old re-saved missions, then it seems new installs dont have as much issues, then its not the same behavior of things in MP and SP, and whether you're a host or not, and who knows what else. For what its worth .i made a little track on an older resaved mission, in the newest beta, and the shkval starts screwing up after some time especially when you go low to the ground and move it up, it has a way of jumping to 100km. This is somewhat consistent to what i get in my older non-beta install of DCS, though on some missions the shkval can become a nightmare. Ka-50.trk
  16. If they don't want to fix what was previously working, and simply want to stop supporting it, then they should come out with a statement and say so. Wouldn't that be the correct thing to do?

It should stabilize on the distance set by the laser, no matter the weather, well as long as the laser can get hit something, but what it likes doing is after the laser countdown reaches 0 it just jumps to some random distance measurement, and screw up, it usually goes down to some insane distance like 0.1 or 2 (from a lased 8 or more km) and at that point it just goes everywhere. I've actually had my ka-50 nosedive when flying low and having the turn to target autopilot on, and it did it for no reason at all, just jumped to 0 km. The inertial distance measurement on the shkval has gotten so bad that id rather it be removed from the game completely than having to deal with it any more. What really annoys me with the ka-50 is that first you find a strange but pretty humongous problem, you report it, then you have to fight other community members about that think otherwise (some with very little to no experience in the ka-50) then you need to fight the testers, then maybe if he likes you and agrees he'll report it, and then who knows what happens after that.
  18. you can only do it with the hotas pov by setting it to an 8way pov, the others dont work, for some strange reason.
  19. only if it has the ability to use click trim method without an FFB (which still needs fixing and is probably the most annoying thing about the ka-50).
  20. it still proves my point, the game has a lot of issues streaming the phyiscs and the objects of broken things over network. Its because the positions of the objects are calculated client side, and the end position of the object is never sent to the players, and if wasnt client side, youd need insanely expensive servers to get all of that running, this is however not for the big buildings which are quasi physics based, and wether a wall is broken or not is sent through the network. But the biggest issue as you can see in BF4 you have about 20 buildings on a map, a lot of it is completely empty, try doing something like BF4 on a map like the black sea map in DCS, and you are going to have a bad day.
  21. i feel you, the state that the ka-50s fallen into is really frustrating. all these tiny things come together and make it into one big mess Dont forget the datalink cutting out on 124 mhz i used to actually like flying the ka-50 at night, now its a horrible frustrating experience, with the shkval going from a lased 6km to 0.1km when you slew it.
