  4. i dont think physics on that scale would really work in DCS, it doesnt work in relatively small maps, like in BF4.
  5. its kind of a animated effect that happens when you jump into a cockpit, it can get annoying. But ED seems to love it, so we are kind of stuck with it, though i think someone made a mod to remove it.

  7. in fact most games have implemented blur so successfully, that most people turn it off from the begining, because its just annoying. frankly apart from the OH LOOK HOW COOL IT LOOKS NOW effect, blur in games is also used to hide low res geometry, and textures.
  8. noobs will be noobs, ive seen people do gun runs on tors and tunguskas, or ka50s shooting tors. as if you are going to be alive after seeing a tor in a ka-50, nothing will stop the noobs from being noobs.

  10. oh yes, thats because its an axis, behaves just like an analog stick youd find on a controller(only it has the precision of a bargepole). you can get around it, if you go into the control panel for the joystick, and on the deadzones tab, set some big dead zones for the mouse X and Y, then go into the profile editor and slow down the ministicks sensitivity. alternatively you could set it up to emulate keyboard buttons.
  11. i do not have mouse acceleration on it, are you sure you have mouse acceleration, and advanced whatchamacallit turned off as well in windows mouse options? well you wouldnt be keying the pvi while doing hard combar maneuvers, but for example the flare dispense, just boggles my mind, why isnt it on a joystick POV, same goes for the HMS on and off, and laser warning reset. i dont have a lot of things laid out the same as in the ka-50, i have the heading autopilot on the pinky switch for example, because i like to be able to turn that stabilizer on an off, fast, and have a ton of mods in the cockpit. but my target cue and trim is on the cyclic, and i havent had any issues with it, you dont need to be holding the trim while turning, and when its coupled with turn to target autopilot, it can be pretty nifty, at times. but i really hate the trim logic in the ka-50, since you cant click trim, unless you have an FFB joystick apparently.
  12. i use one profile for it (other modes are for other aircraf), i seem to be doing fine. You can use the mouse joy to click places, you just meed to get the speed down, it takes some trial and error, but it becomes pretty usable.
  13. I played around with values for a bit, and found that a slew acceleration of 9 while leaving slew velocity base at the default value, is good for most people. Putting the slew velocity any higher makes slewing the shkval a complete mess. Its still fast, but with a bit of practice, it becomes much more enjoyable and barely any precision is lost, it also saves your POVs micro buttons :) Of course if you dont like it you can easily change it by lowering the value on the slew acceleration, anything between 2(the default value) and 9 is good, i dont recommend changing the slew velocity.
  14. if you have run as administrator turned on in the exes properties try turning it off.
  15. you can let go of the cyclic stick in the actual ka-50 because its FFB, most of the things are designed to be used with the right hand, granted some of the buttons are on down right stupid positions the countermeasures start and stop for example, and in a helicopter its more dangerous to let go of the collective than the cyclic. @OP id recommend you bind the autopilots (targeting and stabilization) to the keyboard, the weapons to along with the weapons panel to along with the laser on off to the switches at the base of the stick, the reset laser and warning reset to the HOTAS buttons at the base, so you dont have to fumble around with a mouse (well as much). the ABRIS options are bound to 12345 by default.
  16. well look at me i dont fly the f-15 because it has plastic buttons, a gray cockpit and that periscope of a hud. But all of those are just excuses, because im too lazy to learn it :music_whistling:
  17. I found this nifty little file in DCS where you can change how fast your shkval slews around, and made it go faster, in the same file you can easily change the speed at which the shkval slews when using an axis. the file is JGSME ready. Shkval_Mod.rar
  18. once a lot of CA units start moving around the server crashes pretty fast, so its kind of bad in that sense, also once a player gets into an aa vehicle, especially a tor or something, aircraft start dropping like flies, and the fact that many CA players start hiding all their aa in middle of forests, i guess most mission makers dont want to deal with it, a CA player should be there to enrich the experience, not play to win at any cost, at least in my opinion.

  21. you can set them to Green, that way they keep their radar off and dont shoot
  22. use an x52 for a month with 0/0 and actually have an enjoyable time in the game, and im buying you a lobster dinner.
  23. no, ive seen it happen, but only when i was not actually connected to the server, or the server had already crashed.
