In JF-17, fuel flow looks constant against airspeed. I ran engine at military power(C+T mode) for 5 minutes and observed fuel used. Test A Altitude 0 ft Mach 0.0(with wheel choks) Fuel used in 5 minutes = 5055 - 4389 = 666 lbs Fuel flow at Test A condition = 133.2 lbs/min =7992 lbs/hour Test B Altitude 25 ft Mach 0.96 Fuel used in 5 minutes = 5001 - 4330 = 671 lbs Fuel flow at Test B condition = 134.2 lbs/min =8052 lbs/hour Just for reference, I measured Mig-29's fuel flow(RD-33) via tacview. In Test A:around 7800 lbs/hour In Test B:around 12500 lbs/hour So at M 0.0 this looks ok. But at M0.96, fuel flow differs more than 60%. At least Deka's JF-17 Quick Guide says SD-10's overall performance should be between AIM-120B and AIM-120C. Let's see how new ED's AIM-120 behave to be released in June.

I think I managed to reproduce some sort of fuse malfunctions. First and third shot should have detonated. NOTE : I set max FPS limitation to 35 so in order to replay you may need same limitation. AIM-9X.trk

By designating bandit and commanding "Engage my target", AI wingman should start engaging designated bandit. This command works in F/A-18, F-16 and F-15C but not in JF-17. JF-17_AI.trk F-18_AI.trk

Do you use TWS AUTO and increase Target Ageing? Unlike F-16, "just lock" in F/A-18's RWS and TWS MAN will not adjust radar automatically to maintain lock. Use TWS AUTO and it will try to maintain lock just like F-16 or F-15C.

You launched too far from target in both cases. AIM-54's power is limited for 160s, and after that it won't guide anymore.

In DCS, there is BIG difference in midcourse guidance for AMRAAM. RWS+LTWS : AMRAAM is guided correctly to pitbull. TWS : AMRAAM receives NO midcourse guidance.

Sorry but my point is why only F/A-18's TWS cannot generate midcourse guidance while F/A-18's STT or even F-16's TWS is just fine for guiding AMRAAM?

OK I made more obvious track. In STT, AMRAAM recieves midcourse guidance correctly and take appropriate lead to intercept. No abrupt turn till impact. In TWS, AMRAAM simply heads to fixed point until its goes active and after that turns suddenly to intercept. Is this really APN thing and intended behavior? In SP it is very handy to designate specific target for AI wingman to engage. Could you make possible to designate HPT in AA and TGP point track in AG for AI's "Attack my target"command?

2xPL-5EII+4xPL-12 is maximum AA loadout.

AIM-120 has no midcourse guidance from F-16. In this track I locked target in STT all time but both AIM-120B&C recieved no midcourse update. Same happens in SAM and TWS. F-16_AIM120.trk

According to Early Access Guide, second triangle is Rne, third one(2 oclock triangle) is Rmin. And radar display clearly shows wrong indication of Rne too.

How many countermeasures does JF-17 have?
