The description told me i got 6 30mm hits(let's say it's wrong and i only got 3 or 2) but when i hit the 109 with the p51's mg's the description told me i got 10 hits. 10 hits to brake a 109's tale off. If this does not prove my point i don't know what will I've got the shots on trak. Min 0.30 and 2.30 for p51 vs 109. Min 2.45 for 109 vs 109. 109 vs 109.trk P51 vs 109.trk

I see explosions only when i hit with HEI. The minengeschoss has no flash. I haven't tested vs human player .But vs the Ai the 30 mm is ridiculous. I got hits at sec: 8 , 33 and at the end. And the track that goes with this video. Ihope it's fun to watch :pilotfly:. Weak-108.trk

I didn't hit it once i hit it twice(wing + fuselage ) :joystick: . Check the first track i posted above.

Just an experiment.You can clearly see the 30mm cannon is weak and there is no hit explosions. I don't want to make bad publicity for ED so i will take the video down if asked. Rhz5-0Vyl7w

The problem with the Bos Fm was mostly the rudder. The dcs-109 has a much more precise rudder. The thing is in DCS the 109 stall is just weird . But it might be just me.

The slow speed fm is a little Twitchy imho . After minute 1:50. Fm-111.trk

The damage model for the 108 cannon is imho very very weak.And the visual damage, explosion when i hit the other plane with 30 mm ammo is weaker than a machine gun hit. I'm of the same opinion . I was reading an article where Erich Hartman was almost overwhelmed by g in a tight turn and the plane was ok. In general i think the the p51 looses wings also quite easy.But the 109 resistance to G is far too low.

@Snowtiger As far as speed goes i think the p-51 is too slow. But i only know it's too slow by the old il2 standards. I'm no p51 expert. But it does turn a lot better than a dora so you should win most dogfights . "and shot down practically every Dora near the end of WW2" This doesn't mean anything. At the end of ww2 the allies air superiority was so vast there was nothing the dora pilots could do.It's not their fault the nazi leaders were mad :) and didn't capitulate .+ most german pilots at this stage of the war had no training. A pilot recalls being ordered to atack 1000 bombers escorted by 800 fighters with 40 planes.Plane performance is irrelevant here.

I had the same issue. On a dusk DOW mission. While flying the D9 bright light ,reflecting of the gun smoke blinded the crap out of me. I have a gtx 770 with 344.48 drivers I can't upload the .trk file for some reason.

You need to download open beta : http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world_open_beta/ and then install the modules you own from module manager within the open beta menu.

I also wanted to hear about R4M and WG 21 rockets for Dora.

It would be interesting to see a more realistic HMS . Hope ED take a look at this at some point in the future.

I've had a lot of trouble at first because i was used to take of using landing flaps like in il2 1946. Now it's not difficult at all . Landing was always a pleasure. Someone change the title !

This real life comparison with DCS visibility is amusing. When a simulation that doesn't have zoom levels is released (real life doesn't have zoom) than it can claim it's somewhat comparable to real life. What i think is that games where you could see well at normal levels of zoom are more realistic.In DCS i have to use insane amounts of zoom and concentration to track a plane. After 3 hours in mp my head hurts. I have a real life helicopter pilot as my uncle who i can talk to .And he has a lot of real life pilots as friends. If on a 65 inch 4k tv you don't use zoom and visibility is good than i would say that is comparable to real life .But there are few people who can buy something like that.

kontiuka I fly exclusively air to air missions. It's not a problem to do some fancy shooting with the twist stick (I have a Thrustmaster T-16000) but i do feel the lack of a pair of rudder pedals. it would improve my shooting considerably. In the end depends if you want these planes bad enought to fly them without pedals.I know i do. It's possible and fun most times but sometimes i want to .... if you know what i mean .
