  1. This is highly a mater of personal preferance. There is no issue with having a deadzone on the WH. But you mormaly don't need one because the stick doesn't drift and you should be able to rest your hand on it and only input any movent when you mean to. Personaly I don't like deadzones because I can never tell when I'm making a very small input, or I'm still in the zone when nothing is registred so when I enter the movement zone, I over do it. I also usually don't fly with curves as I favor linear response. The only plane so far where I actually found that using a curve (of 8 ) improves my control of the plane is the Harrier. But again, you really should find what works best for you.
  2. I'm having and issue with the Left Hand throttle on my WH. It will stop responding all toguether sometimes, or in some ocasions just having trouble tracking it's position. Updating iregularly, like when a pot is going bad (I know there are no pots on the WH). Sometimes is quite hard getting it back, then it will work flawlawssly for quite some time, even a couple of days. Then all of the sudden it will start having trouble again or stop entirely. I have opened it up trying to see if the wires coming from the HALL were pinched, it doesn't appear to be the case. Tried chaging the USB port, I'm still getting it. Recalibrated it with TM tool, same result. I'm not sure what could be causing it, HALL going bad? If so does anyone know where they can be sourced? Has anyone encontered this before?
  3. Sorry don't really know what to tell you. I have my throttle always calibrated for full range now. I use it this way to keep functionality for other sims that can make use of it, and use saturation to keep the unwanted part of the throttle as a deadzone in sims like DCS. Even though I keep it like this, buttons 29 and 30 have always worked for me. I know this was a long time ago but I never revited this thread until now. So hopefully you got it figured out by now.
  4. Wow.... I could have swore this was working diferent and that I had seen that bomb flag before. I gess one's brains can play funny tricks on you sometimes, and memory can be a funny thing. Well thanks for clearing that up. Please mark this as NO BUG, and sorry for the false report.
  5. Wing sweep seems to have had a bud added in the last few days. Now when engaging Bomb mode the flag will indicate "MAN" instead of "BOMB", bomb mode behavior seems to still be correct. Also when advancing the wings manualy once the sync up with the auto programing they will switch back to "AUTO" I'm not sure about this behavior but I'm almost certain it's diferent from what we had before.
  6. Made this video a while ago mostly as a test to Vaicom. It's just one of the Harrier training missions, but I used it because of interaction with JTAC. Also probably the best place to look for information regarding comms with JTAC is the A-10C manual.
  7. No it's not that command, it's a command that basically turns him off. Telling him to keep quiet he still presses buttons and does his job. The one I would like is called "Crew Contract, Utility/ Set Inactive, Utility" and then "Set Active, Utility" to resume JesterAI.
  8. Hello again @Hollywood_315, I have a little request, would it be possible for you to add in a future update to AIRIO the commands to stop Jester AI and to resume Him?
  9. Like Cupra said, I think it's the base as a standalone product. As for why sell the stick as the F-16 stick, I'm not entirely sure, it would make sence if the F-18 stick would have been sold as a complete unit (with base). Maybe it has the writing on top? Boy that would be trivial... LOL
  10. Damaged 3D LOD must be looked at, an F-14 with no wings will have it's wings shown again as soon as the LOD decresses to the next level.
  11. Hey Hollywwod, Thanks for the reply. I ended figuring it out soon after. But it would still be nice not to have to this this enabling/disabling dance each time I want to change the way I'm going to play. I don't know if it's possible, considering the implementation of Jester and all. But it would be nice if it's possible. I mean for everything else Vaicom it's a simple matter of chosing to run or not to run VA.
  12. Are you setup for easy comms but the server enforces advanced comms, maybe?
  13. What crash said!
  14. Thanks for looking into it IronMike. This is of course very low priority, not only because if you follow proper checklists you should never come across it! :D
  15. I purchased the AIRIO extension today. I've just noticed now, that when not running VA the Jester wheel is still gone. This is a bit of a bummer as sometimes I rather not use VA, depending on what I'm doing. Vaicom Pro has allways behaved in a way that when VA was not running DCS behavied natively, visible menus, player voice, etc. But it this seems to be diferent regarding the Jester wheel. Do I have something setup wrong? If not, is there a chance this can be changed in a future Vaicom update?
  16. I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug, but seems to me that the behavior must not be correct. Which is, turning on the radar altimeter with no power to the airplane (external or engines) moves the neddle to the max position on the instrument (as when turning it on with power), the instrument never actually becomes functional. But it seems odd that the neddle could work like that with no power on the instrument, unless it was spring loaded which also doesn't seem to be the case. So submiting it here so that someone can confirm if it's a bug or not.
  17. Personaly I think the Stick extension its way too big. But if it feels right for you, that's what matters most. Still I seems like it would hit the sides of the stick hole, without reaching gimbal limits. Am I incorrect?
  18. Honestly the F-16 isn't that smaller than the say the F-18. But I do think it has somewhat simpler geometry, particulary because the bug is quite complex around the intakes. The aircraft beeing say shorter than some wont really cost many polys as a section of a few meters of fuselage with no intrisinc details doesn't tipicaly take many polys to model. In fact a small detail like an antena can sometimes take as much polys to model as several square meters on the main fuselage body. I think the F-16 in terms of general geometry complexity is about the same as the f-15 except for the two moving intakes versus 1 fixed one, one engine vs 2. But like others said its all about how crazy the modelers go on the LOD, how optimized vs on how detailed.
  19. maybe post a track so we can see what's going on, because no one else has the issue as you are describing it.
  20. Eihort, can you try to run 1080 on your main display, keep the rest as is and report the results? I think Beamscanner may be on to something again.
  21. Hey mkiii, is DCS using that entire resolution?

  23. Thank you Mr. Burns I do know Ultra MPCD, and did use it a few years ago, but I belive that due to lack of suport that it does't work properly anymore. Also in general I prefer to do the Lua editing manualy (but aparently that's the problem with FC aircraft, as they have no lua to edit). Also I can have the exported screens resized and placed exactly how I want, but for that I have to use a specific LUA at least for the Russian FC3 aircraft, instead of having a lua, for every aircraft.
  24. Like I said above you can use your manuver flaps, acording to the sitution. They self deploy and also sef retract, but you can command them to do so as well, with the DLC thumb wheel.
  25. Ok did a little digging. Apparently what I want to do, can't be done.
