  1. Great pic there Fire :)
  2. Wow that's news to me!! Guess I'll be making some calls tonight to a few people on that team.
  3. And if you can't come we'll try and Twitch some of it.
  4. Great photos guys and again many thanks to Fudge!!
  5. Morning guys, We'd like to say a big thank you to "Fudge" who is at the FSC Weston flight simulation convention this weekend and will have the latest Hawk module loaded up if anyone fancies popping down there to have a go. Details of the convention can be found here: http://fscweston.com/ Many thanks again to Fudge. Chris
  6. Does it come with a Starbucks coffee machine? Oh I do hope so :D
  7. The Hawk, cause I'm making it!!! Good enough reason I'd say ;) However good the airframe, I still think it's down to pilot skill and how he/she uses that airframe whilst not bleeding energy. Will make an interesting fight for sure and looking forward to testing the MiG-21 and Hawk doing exactly this next week :D
  8. Exactly Cobra, I didn't mean for it to come across as a cash cow, I was eluding more to the simpler systems like you said and the timeframes to develop them. Whilst modern jets are my love, Warbirds are Pman's elixir and he loves them so much. I also agree with Eddie in terms of the sim, but if it's one thing I've learnt developing for DCS it's that anything can be done within the sim and as a developer I want to make that "atmosphere of the era" as realistic as possible. So if that's searchlights as an example then I'd take on that responsibility within my era pack. Not expect ED to do that. Granted some things will need their help backend I'm sure. Just putting WWII aircraft into the current map doesn't do it for me.
  9. Well if it helps we also have "a number" of modern jet fighters in early development or are talking to modelling teams to create some. We've just not got into contracts or are ready to announce them yet. We are also looking at another era to develop somewhere in-between WWII and modern day. As said many times before, the WWII aircraft are very easy to make and quick wins. I.e. make the business more money to re-invest in more complex aircraft. More complex aircraft can take up to 2 years or more to develop depending on avionics suits, systems, etc. and that's one aircraft. So to keep the business going we look at other revenue streams. So hopefully that will keep you going (and guessing) for a while ;) Chris.
  10. VEAO Simulations and Leatherneck Simulations are pleased to announce that in partnership we will be showcasing the MiG-21 by Leatherneck at the IWM D-Day Anniversary Air Show on May 24th / 25th 2014 at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, England. Along with the VEAO Hawk, you will be able to get up close and personal with the MiG-21 and try her out in the Fighter Collection's hangar 2 during the weekend. For details of the air show and to purchase tickets, please visit here: http://www.iwm.org.uk/events/iwm-duxford/the-d-day-anniversary-air-show We are pleased to be presenting the MiG-21 to the public during this air show and future air shows at Duxford and look forward to seeing you there. The VEAO and Leatherneck teams.
  11. Give me a shout if you need a hand with anything mate :)
  12. Yeah agree with you guys on TurboSquid models. Once you understand how the animations, damage model, collision model and arguments system works for DCS, it's easier to model from scratch rather than convert a "bought" model. It can of course be done, but will take a longer process. B-17, now who's the one teasing Sith???
  13. Yeah I was just remembering Jim as I was walking around Duxford last week. The chats we had and seeing his face light up every time he walked in the hangar with the aircraft in there. Always in our hearts.
  14. Take out the dash and underscore and try again "MQ9reaper" Have had issues on the past with the - and _ in a mod name.
  15. The PC Pilot article on the Hawk for DCS has been published and is in the May/June issue from page 74. A very nice 5 page spread, many thanks to BeachAV8R and PC Pilot for the article. Enjoy, Chris.
