  1. Jesus, seriously, you guys mixed everything up. You're comparing what now? A mid-90s retail game on physical media with a modern EA title with tons of paid DLCs? Apples to oranges. Big time.
  2. And I had my money's worth out of Jane's and other stuff in the pre-internet era. So?
  3. Hell, yeah!
  4. I am on an overclocked i9 at 5ghz and a 2100 clocked 2080Ti and I get drops to 18 fps on the Channel map while I get 80-100 fps on the caucasus. This is anything but a technical achievement. Please, don't try to pass it as one. The product is seriously outdated in more than a few areas and needs some serious QA in the performance department. Don't get people started on the "VR optimizations". They over-promisedand under-delivered big time on that. Although, to their credit, it seems they started to steer in the right direction and recent builds have shown slight performance improvements. It is still a long way to go. Time will tell. Hopefully, in our lifetime...
  5. Most negativity comes from being fed up with game-breaking bugs which take ages to fix, uf at all. Appreciation of the game's complexity has nothing to do with this. Development of essential aircraft features which drags on for years is also unacceptable for many. Look at the Harrier bugs list, for example.
  6. It depends on the country, platform and distribution mechanism. In my country, fresh PC AAA titles on day-1 on Steam are always much less than $50 USD. YMMV, of course.
  7. Benchmarking is done on different hardware configurations but on the same version of the software. Even dedicated benchmarking software gets occasional updates. Constant development requires constant benchmarking to accurately gauge performance increase/decrease from builld to build. It will be much more indicative and objective to use a built-in benchmark so players can compare their performance.
  8. Excellent idea.
  9. Pretty simple. Modules cost more than most triple-A titles and remain in EA state for very long periods. Regression bugs are introduced all the time. These factors lead to people getting frustrated.
  10. OCD too.
  11. I, for one, am serious. Naming conventions are there for a reason.
  12. GAU destroys tanks from the rear. Also make sure you drop GBUs along the movement path. makes them more accurate

  14. You can try deleting terrain folders and starting the updater. I had to delete every terrain except for caucasus and then I had enough space to update the dedicated server with a 128gb ssd.
  15. been a while since I've done this, let me know if you run into issues.
  16. just delete the mfd-specific keybind files in the mod directory
  17. I am sorry but where is vaicompro.exe? It's not bundled with the latest .20 release.
  18. Более чем, учитывая тот факт, что это, вообще-то, стратегия.
  19. Плохо дело. Но приглядеться второй раз стоит попробовать.
  20. I've got tons of midi stuff myself, I'll look into it too.
  21. All those solutions are: 1. Too kludgy 2. Lack 2-way connectivity We need a solution which will provide feedback, as a lot of midi controllers have LED-feedback on pads and pots. Adapting DCS-BIOS for midi seems like the logical way forward here.
  22. ED provides an export API. It is up to you people how to use it. They should not and will not implement such functionality, but they provide means for developers to write software that will provide such functionality. There are a few export routers available, such as DCS-BIOS. I don't believe MIDI is such a good idea, frankly. Arduinos & custom panels make more sense. But someone could build on DCS-BIOS to provide such an interface.
  23. Sounds like the censor filter is at work. Maybe put it in manually in the config file.
