First: so far, it seems the devs have nailed most of the crashes and I have yet to see a single crash on 2.7.1.
Now, I've discovered something though:
I had to reload my uefi bios profile due to some configuration changes and I noticed my previously configured overclocking settings which were stable for 2.5.x did not work out for me on 2.7.x with random CTDs not accompanied by "game crashed" dcs dialogbox. Funnily enough, my system passed every single stress test with no lockups (occt, xtu, aida, even prime95).
I had to up the core voltages a bit (about +0.020-25) to stabilize the system in DCS. Whatever the devs optimized in 2.7.x obviously made DCS more sensitive to OC.
TL:DR: Make sure you dial down on your OC if you're crashing even if your system plays everything else just fine and passes stress tests with flying colors.
