fbw, yes. similar avionics - no. Compare the hotas controls. Same TMS/DMS, albeit a somewhat simpler implementation. Still better than the bug.

Well, I actually use quite a few switches in flight too. I've heard that the API for the Vive Pro hand tracking through the dual cameras has been released to the developers. But somehow I am sure that the devs won't bother...

I can guarantee you most A-10C drivers won't be able to hit a thing with bombs in a L-39ZA. :) Because L-39 requires finesse and piloting skill. Something the A-10C doesn't. The A-10C requires avionics knowledge and that's mostly it. It's quite hard to master bombing, rockets and gun runs in an L-39. But it's immensely satisfying when you finally get it right. You will need to learn the bombing profiles, cockpit procedures, working with your gunsight and actually FLYING the airplane. Which will make you appreciate how DCS models things. I'd say you give L-39ZA a try. It's a very interesting aircraft which will give you an experience very different to A-10C. It may look like I am criticizing the A-10C, but let me assure you that isn't the case. Those are very different aircraft and of course the A-10C is more capable. I have and love both. (meh, I buy all DCS modules on day-1)

Know the general direction of the bogeys. Keep your distance. Order your wingman to cover you. Don't push it and don't try to rush without knowing exactly where the enemy is. Watch out for sidewinder launches and go defensive immediately. Keep count of your flares and don't waste them in one defensive maneuver. You have the initiative in this mission. Use it to your advantage. Dictate the rules with those 27Rs.

Just did it on the first try with default loadout with no losses. The key here is having your situational awareness high. Be sure to know where the adversaries are coming from and order your second and third element to engage the first group you see. Order your wingman to cover you and dispatch another flight while making sure you cover the Frogfoots. They use stand-off weapons anyway. The adversaries are only armed with two sidewinders each so keeping your distance is key. They don't stand a chance against a Fulcrum in a dogfight. Keeping your SA is key in every engagement in a MiG. Make sure you listen to those AWACS calls and be your radar at all times. Using the front hemisphere PRF mode helps somewhat.

Люди покупают тьюринги не ради рейтрейса а ради обычного перформанса.

Если у вас нет в 2018 году денег на два GPU - это не проблемы 2080 Ti, не проблемы NVLink-а, не проблемы Хуанга. Это проблемы конкретно вас. Сходите посмотрите бенчи SoTR с двумя 2080Ti в NVLink SLI, а потом подумайте кто тут не самый умный. Если шо, то BFGD на подходе и прочие ништяки дисплеестроения. И людям хочется как бы реализовывать все ништяки высокорефрешных матриц и гсинка. Учитывая производительность одной 2080Ti с рейтресом - маловато будет, нужно две. Так что таки-да. Таки 2080Ti, таки сли. Таки 2018.

Oh no, a DECENT 4K monitor will set you off considerably more than a Rift would. Besides. I am getting decent FPS in 2d in DCS and in VR we are having all sorts of optimization issues. So while I have a nice rig and a Vive Pro, I am still mostly flying in 4K with TrackIR.

There aren't any decent sticks on the market at the moment and won't be in any foreseeable future. Your best bet for DCS choppers is, unfortunately, an extended stick.

What HMD are you using? System specs?

Tested it out with Vive Pro/2080 Ti. Didn't notice much of a difference. Flying the Spit it seems I get less of a jello effect when looking through the gunsight. Was running on 1.5 PD/No AA with mostly maxed settings. Very playable and not a lot of dipping into the 30s. Almost constant 45 fps.
