  2. Has your friend tried turning off hyper threading? I have read others have solved stutter problems with that fix.
  3. You are most likely correct.
  4. Because of the leapfrog updating of 2.0 and 1.5 I assume it will be released on whichever version gets updated on the 27th of Jan. The Spitfire should be added to 2.0 next time it gets updated so you shouldn't have to wait too long for that. Traditionally the training missions and main campaign are for Caucuses map so there is that to look at as well. Short answer is, not sure yet.
  5. This has been the subject of many threads. The main reasons that have been stated for it not being implemented are that it was not commonly available to squadron pilots, very experienced and/or high ranking pilots being the rare exceptions. Seeing as though many of us have more sim hours in warbirds than most very experienced and high ranking WW2 pilots I think there is still a case for it being implemented. However technically it is not as simple as an Il-2 style slider because of bullet trajectories and ballistic calculations (that I don't understand) so I think it is fine with the current system and I am OK with just adjusting to it. So to answer your question, no I don't believe it is being worked on.
  6. After a long ME session I often get out of memory warning and dcs closes. Now I edit the mission, save, exit ME then load the mission from the main menu.
  7. You have linked the F-18 thread, that is not for newsletter discussions. My guess is it's a new year and time for a new thread, after the next newsletter comes out and we have something to discuss.
  8. Wow, even in a terrain thread an F-16 wish list can be shoehorned in.
  9. Nice pop-up update, thank you Cobra.
  10. It says it right there on the update window, press cancel and it will ask for HTTP, at least it did last time I took notice.
  11. But I thought DCS was everything?
  12. Follow the instructions in the quick start guide for the module. I haven't had to try it yet but I think you can also do it via module manager now.

  15. No need for a vote, we all know BIGNEWY is the most helpful.....
  16. When your wiring harness runs out of smoke you need to replace it. ;) Back to the spit fuel gauge, I wonder if it was a bit worrying to have a live circuit always going to the tank? Anyone know the exact mechanism of the gauge?
  17. See you all on 27th Jan!
  18. Just in time for me to be away from the PC for 2 weeks....... Hope all goes well for the Leatherneck team and everyone enjoy their hard labours.
  19. https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/loose-bracket-caused-f-35b-fire-432608/ First release of info regarding F-35B fire in weapons Bay.
  20. It's always good to be self reflective, just don't get so self critical you burn yourself out. I have really enjoyed seeing the progress and evolution of the model and your skills. Keep up the good work.
  21. Mmmmm I won't ask what you were searching for when you came across this. ;)
  22. I never fry without butter but flying without rudder seems much more dangerous. Hopefully the damage model ms are all in for a tune up, including the AI.
  23. Thanks for the correction, I don't run the stable any more and didn't know they had patched them both.
