Ah okay. I’ve been right all along. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I may have been doing this all wrong since I’m used to the B, but what is the proper procedure for the trap? At touchdown, do we go to AB or MIL power? I know the B it’s MIL power, but for the A I’m not so sure. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

This has happened to me multiple times now when I over G the airplane and cause a structural failure, the game goes into a freeze with looping audio playing and can not be freed from the Windows Task Manager. I have to force a restart in order to get my computer back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Disregard the question, I should've just tried tightening the bolts in the grip first. That indeed solved it. The bolt that was lowest on the grip was very loose. A quick tighten using a metric sized hex key wrench did the job.

My Warthog is pushing into the ages of wear and tear. It has developed a wiggle just above where the grip screws into the base. The wiggle almost feels like there is a problem with the base, but it doesn't. Has anyone else encountered this, were you able to fix it? Wanting to know before I start wasting time and just buying a $250 new one. Thanks.

I’ve tried these same tactics and have gotten the same results as you. I gave up after getting shot down by beaming an R33. I lost the RWR tone and turned into the threat. Wtf. Problem with the approach/evade technique is you end up consuming most of your gas in the process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

It appears to be implemented. However I can’t currently check for its completeness, but with landing gear down and in NAV mode, pressing the cage/uncage button cycles the landing HUD declutter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Wow! Excellent strategy! I appreciate the fact True Grit decided to seek help when the complexity became too much for them. Even with the open comms from Heatblur and the wise decisions of TG, the solution is logical. Can’t wait to purchase as always. Judging by how the Tomcat came out, the Typhoon will break some more barriers for DCSW. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

If you are fighting AI foes, it doesn’t really matter for the element of surprise tactic now. Thanks to ED for attempting to add “realistic” reaction, regardless of switch position they immediately start to beam and chaff on TWS shots right off the rail. So I think that switch is pointless against them. But for human foes, you basically got the jist of what setting to use. Small equals less reaction time for enemy, but more time needed to guide -54s. Large gives them more reaction time, but less time for you needed to assist the -54s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Yeah you gotta be careful. Most missions and even the default comms in the editor use the second radio for flight comms (UHF/VHF). The problem is if you tell jester to switch to something else like tower or AWACS, you’ll lose your flight comms and most likely can’t get them on radio 1 (UHF) because it’s set to a VHF frequency. F14 instant action BVR On the devil's end AIM54 problem
Eagle7907 replied to Macias671603's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Right. I can understand completely if the AI constantly notches left and right before a missile launch, but the AI just “knowing” kind of kills the realism because no human can know in regards to TWS until a pit bull. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -

Interesting. I didn’t know there was a way to know when a launch occurred beside seeing a smoke trail. Oh well, I guess long shots are a thing of the past again against super-human AI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
F14 instant action BVR On the devil's end AIM54 problem
Eagle7907 replied to Macias671603's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Right. That’s what I am saying. It seems the AI have telepathy and knows when a Fox 3 has launched. They didn’t do that before, hence they have a head start to defeat missiles. I am now very confused as to what is right and wrong now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -

Eagle7907 replied to Macias671603's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Would they normally notch at missile launch? This really confuses me, because before 2.7, the AI didn’t notch right after launch. I think that’s why Fox 3s are having more difficulty for a kill. The constant notching after launch hinders the track/re-acquire therefore the misses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Doesn’t TWS A handle the elevation automatically? Just glancing over this thread and wondering for everyone’s benefit. Disregard. I forgot that it’s centroid tracking which means if three bandits stay high and one goes low, the lower bandit can still escape the radar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That’s not the point. The point is this feature helps a pilot (player) be able to view the runway without the bank angle scale obstructing the view. Sure you can go by instruments on the ILS, but it still doesn’t help if you have symbology blocking you’re view, especially when your visibility is already limited by meteorological conditions. For those who want to know what was wrong initially: The ILS had to be tuned and received and when desired, you press the cage/uncage button to remove the bank angle scale. What was wrong was: 1) It should function regardless if ILS is tuned or not. (Doesn’t have to be used for ILS approach) 2) It also removes the ILS bars from the HUD when pressed. 3) When pressed again, both items will return to view. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I’m sorry, everyone is entitled to do what they want, but I don’t agree with this. Now we are responsible for creating our own references? What’s next, type up our own manuals? You must learn to create kneeboard pages to employ HARMs? No thanks. This should be included. All that’s been done on ED’s end is a YouTube video description, which isn’t easy to look up in game. Also for parking on arrival, too. I agree, this would really improve the immersion factor.
