Oooh! I haven’t tried that yet. I’ve used Qeyes, which is great for telling J to start a search pattern from. Thanks for the idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I think we should pay for the new CAUCASUS????
Eagle7907 replied to Psicodreamics's topic in DCS: Caucasus
I would love to pay for an expansion up to Ukrainian/Russian airspace. Especially in light of the most recent situations that have occurred. This would open the door for more campaigns and money for campaign builders as well while using assets already available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
missing info Lost lock with Sparrows using STT
Eagle7907 replied to Eagle7907's topic in Bugs and Problems
I haven’t forgotten to do this. Lately my attempts to duplicate this has failed several times using both RWS and TWS. I even tried targeting an enemy missile to see if that was the culprit. The sparrow intercepted it. All my attempts do have the sparrow tracking the target minus the usual last second tendencies of the sparrow going rogue even though I still have a solid STT lock. [emoji2373] I’ll keep trying. But this did happen several times when I started this complaint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -

I know my problem isn’t jamming. But thanks for the informative post. That’s good to know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Will do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
correct as is Enemy missiles in flight on TWS
Eagle7907 replied to Eagle7907's topic in Bugs and Problems
Oh great. /s Thanks for the input. I had a feeling this was a bit odd especially since it severely was causing the radar to be overwhelmed in a BVR engagement. I couldn’t tell if my bandit was high or low and then, explosion. Grrrrr…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Thanks IronMike. I guess there is much more to do. I forgot about the missiles still being in development/tuning. However, nonetheless, I’m still pretty contented with how the module is. It’s great fun to fly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thanks for the news IronMike. Besides the autopilot overhaul and reported bugs, what’s left to be developed for the Tomcat? Is there more stuff coming? My list of to-do’s is practically complete for my expectations (Tomcat wise), hence the question. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

correct as is Enemy missiles in flight on TWS
Eagle7907 replied to Eagle7907's topic in Bugs and Problems
Oh thanks. I must’ve missed this being mentioned on a change log. Does this happen to interfere with TWS automatic function? I can’t really tell a difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Does this happen to anyone else? You STT a target, shoot, and immediately missile gets trashed while target doesn’t do any evading that would cause a lock being dumped. There is no reason, that I can tell, would cause this. Sometimes it happens with AMRAAMs as well. Shoot, immediate target lost. [emoji2373] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I am now seeing enemy missiles in flight shot from AI aircraft displayed on radar in TWS only. Track here Picture provided in case track does not replicate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That explains a lot as well. So my 2024 prediction is sounding more like a reality then. Funny how someone from RB asked where I got that assumption. It is not difficult to see why. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thanks for sharing. Very impressive. I know for a fact those shows are NOT easy to perform. Great job to the members! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

You see, that I did not know, and don’t recall seeing this information or intent of information anywhere. I frequent their discord and here, nothing mentioned. Nonetheless, even with this news, coming from you doesn’t really change my views. I do appreciate you sharing this information though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I do the same. Push down the handle around 68 degree sweep. Close the cover. Press master reset. Select Auto sweep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Correct there is no official RAZBAM roadmap, but there is a roadmap that includes numerous 3rd party developers including RAZBAM that yet to mention the F15E in the current modern development (Post-harrier/mirage/Mig-19) which doesn’t include exact dates, but does at least provide approximate year’s completion of development. That is my point. Nothing mentioned doesn’t give me a good feeling about this module with the addition of very little updates on the progress as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

It gives me great feelings that this module isn’t even mentioned on the roadmap thread. Not even an ETA for 2023+. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I tried out J-man on a training mission I created well before this feature came. I had a waypoint directly over assorted targets including tanks, unarmed vehicles, structures not too far from Lake Mead (desert). I told him to go look at said waypoint using QWP. He did and before searching all targets were clearly visible on the LANTERN. I then told him to search for tanks. The image went left away from the area, down further away from area toward us, then right all the way across, then back to the target location before recognizing several tanks to target. After delivering two kindly packaged GBU-10s, I used the head look feature and told him to look at a moving convoy on a road. The area he went to was where I selected but not exactly over the convoy. I told him to search for SAMs and he found and tracked a ZSU-23 in the convoy almost immediately. Very interesting behavior but clearly I don’t think it’s something like Jester already “knows” where the target is. It appears there’s a good deal of randomness to his behavior and somewhat artificial “flawed” feel. I love it. Much better than me just moving the Lantern on my own directly like in other modules. Until I can fly RIO or find a RIO to fly with, this is a great alternative. Thanks HB! Did real pilots always have the Lantern display up? I’m curious because I’d like to see if this would work without it displaying for pilot and wonder if that would further the experience even more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I’ve been stopping just aft of the shuttle. I turn off NWS, kneel down the jet, then press U. Nothing happened. On the other cats, you can see them steam up, but I couldn’t get cat 3 to work. I’ll try again later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Does the waist catapults work? I can’t seem to get linked on Cat 3. 1 and 2 work. Haven’t tried 4 yet. 4 works. However, I pressed U again to cancel to ready the cat in F2 view. I can’t get back into cockpit by pressing F1. Actually all view keys are unresponsive. I can move throttle and hear engines rev up, rudders move, stabs move. Views are broken somehow. Hmm, weird, I let it sit a while and now functional again. Just went back to cat 3 and still not functional. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

All I have to say is, HB did this work just for our Jester. Imagine what they can do for Typhoon. [emoji2962][emoji2962][emoji2962] I can’t wait! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I agree with everyone here with an exception. The mustache isn’t mandatory. You do have the option of getting oiled up for beach volleyball. Also…. If you need a RIO, “give me a call, I’ll fly with ya.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

missing info AI engagement with HARMs
Eagle7907 posted a topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
I'm sure this is something somewhat incomplete, but very hard to ignore. I'm playing a campaign mission, which involves my flight being a SEAD role. All aircraft in my flight are armed with HARMs. My own engagement with the HARMs go without a problem. When I tell my flight to "engage air defences", all three break formation and fly the opposite direction of any targets of opportunity. They eventually just enter their own orbit and eventually give up and rejoin from about 60-80 miles away, of course using full burner. Something is seriously flawed here and makes SP SEAD flights a waste when there is more than two targets needed to be destroyed for a strike package to succeed. -
Yup, TBH, I don’t think a bomber will ever materialize unless the USAF contracts ED for one. It seems the running thing is a military contract was associated with the module, or the materials used to make the module are so old that obtaining a clearance or license was a non-issue. Here’s to hopes and dreams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
