  1. It’s called something different in the controls options. I can’t remember what it’s called off the top of my head, but it is there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Oooh, I’ll try that. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Oooh, I see now. Okay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Oh, you can change the presets? I didn’t realize that. I tried figuring that out but I couldn’t get anything to work. I’ll look it over again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. The COM page is not fully implemented, according to manual. Only the manual tune is working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Well, my hovering tends to be a bit unstable, but for the most part I can takeoff land and shoot during daylight. I’m terrified doing this in the dark. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. So far I have not been able to get George to fire with LOAL. Works perfectly with LOBL. Not sure what the problem is? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Just throwing this out, but be sure your IMUs are ready to go as well. I think when they are inaccurate, it prevents any charts from displaying since the position accuracy isn’t reliable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. I’ve adapted as well. I never flew the KA-50 though. The only thing I’m concerned about is when the FCR comes, how am I going to be able to map all these buttons?!? Otherwise, I mostly occupy the PLT position and order Georgie to use Hellfires. I’ve noticed George doesn’t use the gun very well. Especially while in motion, like he doesn’t know how to lead. In cases of that, I just do the gun and make him look like an idiot. However, I make myself look like an idiot being shot down, or forgetting the trigger safety. 10. On top of that, I’d recommend the target selection list for George be more intuitively designed like instead of having a single caret like this : > IFV Instead use this: CXL . SEL This will lead the user to either use left or right to cancel or select. I couldn’t figure this out until reading the manual closely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Hmm. Maybe it was the trigger safety. I’ll try again. Edit: Okay, I think that’s what it was, because it worked this time. Thanks all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. So I’ve notice George does tend to not lead very well with using the gun. I want to take control and show him how it’s done without swapping seats. I’ve tried the steps noted in the Appendix of the manual, but it doesn’t seem to work in my favor. Is there something else that needs to be done in this example? 13. I imagine it’s only when the jammer is actively jamming. I’m not sure when passive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. I’ve been flying trips with veterans lately. I find them particularly fascinating to fly with and learn when they discuss their jets and the competitiveness between the differing types, the close calls. No, none of them (at least I know of) play DCS World, but just learning about the characteristics of each one, it seems ED has got them down pretty darn good. Granted, maybe not perfect, but really good. I’ve flown with an Eagle pilot, a Hornet pilot, an Apache pilot, a B-2 Spirit pilot. All of them fought in Iraq (well not sure about the B-2 guy I can’t exactly remember if he said he did or not) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Im just throwing stuff out but, is your jammer on? If so, that might inhibit your HTS to triangulate. I don’t really know if that does cause problems or not, but normally I’d imagine you would want the jammer off or not jamming. Edit: just scanned over the mini-updates. The jammer does indeed affect the HTS pod when used in XMIT position 1. It will reduce its capabilities by 40%. Position 2 will completely silent the HTS as well as other equipment unless an AIM-120 is in flight. Position 3 is barrage jamming and will obviously make most sensors unable to detect. 16. Really? I find that hard to imagine that ED implements boresighting on the Viper but not the Hornet. Also the Warthog. Man, if that’s the case they should fix that then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. Yep. Bore sighting is completely optional. You only need to do it when using the t-pod for target acquisition and hand-off. You can still use the maverick itself for acquisition if desired, however I think it’s a bit more difficult and tends to put you lower into the enemy’s WEZ. I too like to fly missions like the OP. However, the bore sighting is tedious. Hence, I rarely take mavericks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Just heard about the delay. ED, don’t sweat it. Some people will understand, some won’t and will understand later. With the lessons learned and experiences from previous EA releases, I’m more of the understanding now group. COVID is something out of the corporate control. When it’s ready, it’s ready and it will be great. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Welcome to the internetz. Land of the earthly entitled “expert” opinions and politics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. This explains everything to understand it all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Oh wow. Huh. Interesting it’s designed that way. So I take it any cart that’s hooked up to it is just ground power? Also interesting to know that if the accumulators gets depleted then you got a delay getting started. I guess that’s why ED just decided to require a repair instead of creating a new scripted ground crew item. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  23. Interesting. Is an external air start not possible? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. I don’t think it was or is a bust. They still make money from people who don’t really desire to study an airplane and just want to shoot things. I think it’s a matter of being allowed to do it, for what ever the reasons may be. Some argue that it’s because of it’s single role. Well, that’s debatable. Look at the F-14. Very successful module. Most fly it just for the A/A capabilities. I seriously think it’s because of some limitation outside of ED that is stopping this from happening and FC3 has nothing to do with it. 25. Have your own wingman go to tanker first for refuel, then intent to refuel. That will force the left basket to him and the right basket to you. Also the return precontact is because you’re saying you’re at precontact either too close or too far from tanker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
