  1. Just wondering what the status is on any fixes in the works, or is this more of a lower priority? Last I heard last May was additions were planned and to be added later. So far very little has been added. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I agree with this thread. That’s probably why when putting in full flaps on the downwind there is a considerable sink. To recover, you have to add more thrust because you’re already behind the power curve. Thus, the whole throttle dance begins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. @Flappie sure standby. Posted Also: I just was able to successful create and start a ramp start in Syria. So maybe it is the Caucasus map and fast missions a conflict. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro fast mission crash.miz
  4. Sure standby.... @Flappie Edit: log is attached! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro dcs.log
  5. I’m getting this too. I was trying to create fast mission Caucasus. Runway start with Hornet. Update: it seems that my issue is related to Create Fast Mission. I am able to start some instant action missions. Update 2: also missions I create manually in the editor are working. So my issue seems to be a Fast Mission problem. 6. Got it. Thanks all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Oh I see. Thanks for the clarification. So, would a maneuver like that normally wouldn't cause a lost track? Because I still kept the contact with in the limits of the radar. I'm just trying to understand what's going on. Because as you can see, that shot was successful as well. Thanks.
  8. I noticed something funny after shooting as titled. I saw there was a post prior about something sort of this nature, but was labeled previously reported and with@bignewy saying to wait for the next update, which was already released since then and topic closed. What happens is when you have bugged an L&S get with in the launch range and shoot, if you bank either left or right more than 30-45 degrees to notch, the radar loses track until your bank gets back to below this value. I’m not sure if it is affecting the success of the kill or not, but it seems to be pretty evident when you bank and you see “LOSE” on the fly out symbology, but yet it comes back and continues to count to pit bull. I will provide a track if requested since it seems pretty easy to replicate. I don't know why I said that, here's a track. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4oeqyuzphcxrgmh/TWS120.trk?dl=0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Meg Ryan? Nah man, it’s the admiral’s daughter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. I can understand cooling for the radar on the jet, but really? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but judging how wacky the 54s fly and miss.....I don’t know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Well what needs cooling? I’ve always wondered that. I can understand the sidewinders with their seeker, but for the Phoenix it’s radar guided and self guided by radar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Doesn’t the brake out also create better throttle position for wave off/bolster because the engines are spooled up more? I thought I read that somewhere? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. I have both Hornet and Tomcat. No problems here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Precisely. Be ready for the sink rate though. It’s not a lot but to the inexperienced can be easily missed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Beware that slight stick movement can override and disconnect the AP. Adding a small null zone fixes this problem if it becomes persistent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Updates distribute by ED not HB. HB makes the fixes, ED distributes the patches. Evidently there was a problem with the patch and is being delayed until tomorrow as of now. What the exact cause is unknown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. I was thinking about asking “what we would get for Christmas from the Heatblur family?” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Oooo...good idea. I like. “(Grunt)....easy!....easy!” After exceeding- “Aww man, the boss isn’t gonna be happy” “(Strained voice) You alright?” “Hey! What are you doing!” (Hehe) The list goes on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. I don’t have a video or track for proof, but somehow I was able to really break a Phoenix once. It was on the BVR instant mission. I can’t remember what I did to get it in this state but the target was within 40nm and after launch I watched it porpoise while it’s rocket motor was firing. It was like it couldn’t decide to loft or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Right. I understand, and agree with the capabilities, the decision making. The reason behind the questions was the surprise of a 6.5 limit without any inside knowledge as to the IRL points of view. I mean clearly the airframe can be pushed beyond 6.5. We all have done it ever since HB released the module. I’m not denying that, nor anything at this point, I just wanted more inside information. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Oh thanks guys! Wow. Very nice. So after this discussion, I was curious how “difficult” it would be to knife fight trying my best to not be so sporty in the turns. It seems to be somewhat easy to stay below 6.5. However for situations where you have stores or a higher GW with a lower tolerance, it gets....interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. Yeah, they know it’s broke. I think they knew shortly after the release. I don’t really fly online right now. I tried it a few months ago and it didn’t really go well. Problem is connectivity. My PC is connected through WiFi. So I get horrible lag. As soon as I’m back to work, I think I’m going to get a switch and install some Ethernet ports because even in more simplified games that use VOIP, my transmissions are horrible and broken. But when I do get this addressed, I’d love to. I really want the chance to learn RIO so I can easily switch back and forth for online play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. To use extinguisher you do two actions. Pull the handle, then press the button behind the handle pulled. Since you can’t see, nor click the button behind the handle, you can set a key bind for each button. After describing this, it’s still moot because it still doesn’t work.
  24. Okay, thanks to all who have replied. I have a good grasp to the nature of the subject and facts provided. Not that I dislike the Tomcat now after learning this, but I was a bit shocked that it had such a low G tolerance for something so fast and sturdy. Learning every day.
  25. I have actually watched this before once. It was very informative about the engineering of the jet and how it came to fruition. So when you say routinely went over 7.5G's, how often would you say that happened? Did maintenance routinely pulled a hull for inspection after a sortie?
