Okay, well I’m considering turning it off then. I think the speed calls are very helpful, but the position reports just don’t help me, and in many ways confuse me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I use CCIP with consent, most of the time 5 mil setting. It’s sort of a hybrid. You can aim for movers, and also pull out early to avoid ground fire with less of a dive angle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Is there any news or something in the works for Jester to fix his spotting during dogfights? Good grief it’s almost pointless to have him say anything positioning during dogfights. It’s always lagging/lacking in information and causes me to constantly either over-correct or under-correct to bring the enemy in front where they belong. It’s been like this ever since release and is my only true complaint to this module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

If still getting ELEC SYS, also test the FLCS. Toggle switch back left where other system tests located. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

The OP are is wanting “independent George”. Not “micro-managed George”. Just don’t agree to any pact or anything about proposing to a girl. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Oh okay, so in game it doesn’t matter. Hmm. Maybe that will change in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Wait, isn’t this required for employing JDAMs? I remember seeing somewhere that a tighter alignment is required if using weapons of that precision. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I think the problem is the aiming is very dependent on the head aiming system. If this is still troublesome, try co-op with George, except once he slaves to a target, have your head aligned perfectly with the centerline of the Apache, then freeze your Track IR if using such. That gets rid of an unintentional sway the Track IR is creating. Then align with the I beam by flying using cyclic and trim nose/tail and let ‘em rip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

My best description for beginners flying any helicopter… Airplanes are like bicycles. They require periods of attention, but can be controlled with little effort when properly trimmed. A very stable craft. Helicopters are like unicycles. Inherently unstable. They require constant attention, with constant corrections. However, once properly trimmed only requires very small correction, but still constant correction. The trick is preventing yourself to make too big of a correction or to prevent yourself creating an oscillation. Recognize, correct, and repeat. Keep the corrections small. Remember, small corrections are easier to fix than large ones. With that in mind, check your input gear and settings, they may be preventing you of making small corrections. But that’s the general mantra I use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I agree. This is the exact reason why I like the consent to fire. When I’m ready, I tell George, especially when I’m attempting to fire from a hover or like in the video at a slow speed. Stability really helps in the success of a kill. Even with the gun I’ve noticed this. Reduce the oscillations and drifts and watch George really shine. Edit: of course this will be a bit less of an issue when the auto flight modes become functional, but still learning to get really stable helps so much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

So I’m curious about this topic. I’m sure the objective is the same, but as to the techniques out there, is it basically a hide and seek strategy or is there something more elaborative? It seems like head on shots using the hellfires are effective. (almost feels like cheating especially at night fighting AI however I’m sure human opponents are more guile like in combat). However I couldn’t get George to employ the gun to shoot down a limping Hind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That’s my observations as well. When aiming head on George as well as myself snipes pretty good with the gun, but if you offset the shot left side or right side, the rounds miss. I hope this gets fixed quickly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro That’s my observations as well. This is cool. But what about having a kneeboard page automatically populate coordinates of units displayed on F10 map? That would be a blessing as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

[NO BUG]Parking brake not holding the aircraft
Eagle7907 replied to Rubberduck85's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Oh, I wasn’t aware of that. I just did a post in the bugs section. Maybe that will poke them a bit to think about doing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
According to other post here on the forum and sources that can’t be included, the Parking Brake should not be functional before and during engine start. Therefore, procedurally the wheel chocks should already be installed. Even a note in the before start checks states the toe brakes will not function solely on battery power alone. Even the bullet point just before the Engine Start checks it states to make sure chocks are installed, fire guard posted, and danger areas are clear of personnel and debris. Why isn’t this implemented when other modules like the Hornet and Harrier do and are able to have parking brake set completely powered off? Doesn’t make sense to me. [NO BUG]Parking brake not holding the aircraft
Eagle7907 replied to Rubberduck85's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I’m sorry to resurrect this thread, but if the Parking Brake doesn’t function while power is not applied, assuming the switch is electrically held, then why doesn’t cold starts begin with the chocks installed? Wouldn’t that be smart to prevent an inadvertent roll away while starting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -
Yeah, I remember that when the Hornet initially released. Since then we’ve had numerous modules release to OB then, hence the question. I do remember also the patches were a bit more buggy, mostly on the MP side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Somewhat related. I’ve noticed the CPG position is offset a bit when you boresight the HMD. I’m having to lean to the right a bit to align. Not sure if this is to be fixed or not. The PLT position seems pretty close to sitting center of seat, but the CPG it looks like you’re sitting more to the left in the seat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I’m wondering if it’s due to workload. The more modules you have, the more time it takes to fix, compile, test, release. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
