  1. I'm watching that too. There was some problems in the past with DCS but looks like it was solved. This is still in developing faze product similar like DK2 was but look like Pimax start to developing everything from the scratch. Before was based on DK2 drivers like OSVR for example. Right now I'm watching some All in One Android VR's based on 2560x1440 IPS display for dissent money. GenBasic Quad HD Android Virtual Reality System Magicsee M1 PRO Also 3 Glasses Blubur S1 is coming out soon. Preorder is 399$ full price will be 499$. But lets see some reviews first to check how this dual displays 1440x1440 (2880x1440) and positional tracking works in real usage.
  2. I'm using GearVR based on LG G3 but my friends own CV1 and DK2. We tested it in details and all come in same conclusion. Just passing my experience and reasrching about VR for years. So I know what I'm talking about.
  3. Mony in fact is not an issue. I will pay even 2K if its worth it. Right now Rift CV1 is not that much better then was DK2 and price is double. About Hardware for VR you obvously tracking only what Oculus or Valve doing and nothing else and you don't know what parts are build in CV1. Those are not genuine invention ali this is based on cheep existing made in china parts. Only Vive can justified his high price because unique laser tracking technology which are superior to other products. There is already available technology which can be used in next generation of VR which can give us 4K per eye 210 FOV no SDE with twice better performance than Rift CV1 if all will be implemented on proper way. So hardware shouldn't be a problem in the future. Exactly. Like I say before price is not problem if product worth it. My point was how Rift charging construction failure and with just simple change can made more superiour product which production will cost less than it is now what means less end price with same profit. That was my point.
  4. Amen! I will be satisfied even with something like CV1.5. That will be CV1 with one display with 2560x1440 res and 530PPI. Tracking is perfect but dual display 1080x1200 (2160x1200) with 420PPI is total failure. Not real increasing of the quality but increasing cost significantly and high rocket price from one what was announcing in Rift lunch. Such CV1.5 should cost 100 to 150$ less then it is today with much superior product than CV1 is. That is my point. I don't have nothing against Oculus Rift in general but they stub us in the back with their prices and holding progress of VR not just Rift VR in general. That is one of the reason why guy who start all of this not working in Oculus any more. F U Mark.
  5. CV1 is waist of money definitely. Today you can get DK2 for 200$ new one and CV1 better picture quality is not worth it in price difference. If you want better picture quality even some VR based on google VR with 2560x1440 mobile is given better picture quality than CV1 or Vive. There is some tracking alternative and NOLO VR is coming out on Market in June and wait till than to see some test because you could buy some android based AiO VR 2560x1440 paired with Nolo for half of the CV1 price with possible better results in the end. This positional tracking is only advantage for CV1 but just for now or someone who don't want some DIY solutions which work good almost as CV1. I try Gear VR based on LG G3, DK2 and CV1. Only on CV1 I got nausea.
  6. Try to use third part software like Opentrack for headmovement. You could even set up some sort of pseudo 6DoF like in example on the video. you will need only to set up zoom on joystick buttons other when you set it up feels natural and you will easily get use to it. You should set in Opentrack instead EDtracker rift 0.8 or whot ever your VR use.
  7. Sorry m8 if I misunderstand you or you misunderstand me, it was not my intention. I was not refer only on you even if I quote you but in general on this thread and smoe other with same thematic. My point was we need made presure or request too ED to change mouse cursor behavior in DCS from classic 2D to 3D placed in cocpit. That is the basic for all LM or similar glove solutions. In past there was some thread with similar theme and I was describe how this should work even with classic mouse control. It should be similar like it is in most of RTS titles when you oriented in 3D space. Same way should be moving cursor on X,Y and Z axis floating in space not sticked to your view in front your face and move together with your head. This should be most simplest solution and easy developed one. ED should take that in consideration. This way shouldnt be hard to develop it.
  8. It is already with using LM as mouse but that is the problem because when you move head you are loosing mouse because your hands are not in focus any more and mouse is not active. As well as when you are move your head cursor is moving as well. Technically LM is working as should be but it is not good for any practical use. It is useless but not from LM side.
  9. Mouse cursor is only thing DCS got to interact with cocpit. So this is completly ED issue not some VR hands issue. How can LM develop support for DCS when not have such support at all, or plan to do it. You got simple support in OR and again it is interact with your head move not with your hands. In every 3D environment is possible to implement such support but ED didn't show inters to implement such thing in DCS and we how much they need to do much more simpler stuff so forget about it that you will see such support in next few years even is is possible.
  10. There will never be supported in DCS. Reason is 2D mouse in 3D cockpit. LM is 3D hardware. What that means? Simply LM motion have X,Y and Z axis and mouse cursor is only moving on X and Y axis and following your head movement not staying in space like rest of the cockpit items. When you use LM or any other glove or similar VR for hands solution your hands stays in space exactly as your hands are and positioning it in VR environment. Mouse cursor in DCS following your head movement and that is where whole VR magic stops and confusing your brain and body with double input source for cursor, your hands and head in same time.
  11. Here is cheep and not to complicated room scale positional tracking using PSmovrservice. Just for DCS could work even with single PS3 Eye camera but will be better with more. For seating sims such as DCS two PS3 cam and one PSmove controller are optimum so it is around 70$ if you are buying brand new components.
  12. Yea with Youtube video and music wish from Jukebox. :smartass:
  13. No it is locked on 1440p 60Hz but point of 4K is 806 PPI so there is no SDE even without any blurring filter like on CV1 and extremely sharp picture. It is LCD so color is not that vivid like OLED or PSI but clearitiy is so good and compensate that detail.
  14. This updates are more developed outside of Oculus and affecting on my GearVR even more. Vive was create in year and was release before CV1 in the end. Exactly. Again you spreading false and wrong information based on your own opinion. We already discus about it and pleas check the links in other post where I show you how wrong you are. Yes most because people like you who claiming there is no other VR then CV1. My point is not to convince people to not buy CV1 just to check alternative too. I see my friend CV1 and I can tell you my LG G3 based Gear VR give me better results for half of the price. So it is at least something to take in consideration before you heedlessly jump into it. About the price compare it, in difference in price you will get dissent GPU which will significantly improve your performance. I already enjoy in VR same as you or even better for more than half money you pay for your good but overpriced OR CV1. That's the point. I show you alternative not convincing anyone not to buy CV1. So future VR fan are smart enough to made their own decision based on facts not persuade him to do what I want.
  15. About only resolution, what was the different between DK2 and CV1 than only resolution and SDE. 1280x1440 vs 1080x1200 is 1,843,200px vs 1,296,000px it is more than 42% pixels per eye. Just for comparison DK2 is 960x1080 per eye with 1.036.800px what is just 25% more pixels per eye for CV1 and we know how major better picture is on CV1 comparing to DK2. Just resolution? What about major issue SDE? DK2 have cca 360PPI comparing to DK1 280PPI or CV1 460PPI and 540PPI on LG G5 or 704PPI on 3Glasses S1 and 90Hz vs 120Hz on S1. What that means in practice? better picture quality, easyer and clear reading of instruments, Better spotting and recognized enemies in distance and on the ground. So forom real simmers perspective this is game changer major issue not pointless. Same as it was difference between DK2 and CV1. And with all this coming segnificant cost saving which you can invest in better GPU for even better results. So see for your self how pointles is give less mony for more results and rush to buy CV1.
  16. Maybe with LG but as experience with Vive teach us some stuf could be done in less than year. This is LG and prototype is good as final product maybe just some minor changes so I believe will be out in end of 3rd quarter. 3glasses blubur S1 will start delivering products in next month or two depend on sources. There is already announcement on amazon about it so this is here around the corner. And this one is real gamechanger. Display port 1.2 1280x1440 per eye on 120Hz 704PPI practically no SDE without using filters. Today even GearVR clone + NOLO VR provide more than CV1 for half of the price and if you want invest little bit more, around 350$ you can have wireless solution. My friend both this cheep 1200 WiFi and works flawlessly only problem is LG G3 battery work little bit more than 2 hours.
  17. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3069730&postcount=163 I don't want to spoil you a fun but think twice before order CV1.
  18. Next gen VR is just around the corner and come out sooner then it was expected. Now it is obvious that some of my claims or visions are not product of some homegrown herbal effect. All is based on knowledge of available tech whot is proven by products who are already presented to the public and will be on market soon. Bye bye Oculus Rift and rest in peace. http://3glasses.co.uk/
  19. I announced similar scenario month ago on this forum and even I am surprised how fast its get true. It was expected but not that fast and with the time will be drop even more because production price of the rift is below 100$. Also I don't believe second gen will come in 3 year because already on the market is few more advanced VR than CV1 is with good potential and some in final faze of getting out to the market. In 2 - 3 year I'm expecting completly new generation of VR with 210 FOV, eye tracking and Liquid VR technology build in and that will be game changer providing proper full realistic VR experiance with less hardware demanding.
  20. And last news which prow everything I was talking about is that general price drop for Rift and I expect even more in the future. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183899 Also don't believe Oculus with gen2 because there is third part next gen already on market available or in development. In 2-3 year I expect 4K per eye 210 FOV with eye tracking and Liquid VR technology built in. That will be real VR which will provide more with less hardware need. Hows that feel ...
  21. This is OSVR thread and you can't jump in and spit on everything what is not Rift. I'm not talking about you right now but pointing to you that I'm not the one who is arguing especially without the facts. I'm tired of this stupidity and cant believe you are pointing again on stuf I already answer. I will understand if I was talking something against Rift on some Rift thread but jump on OSVR thread and spit on everything what is not Rift is outrageous. I don't know should I answer on this for who know how many times to the same individual? I already answer on it and fact tham you put same questions again shows me that you don't read this answers anyway so whot is the point of answer it when you don't respec anything. I will answer it because of the others to not be mislead buy you. LG G3 have 2560x1440 resolution so kids in first grade could calculate 1280x1440 per eye resolution. CV1 have 1080x1200. LG G3 have 554PPI CV1 have 461PPI so this is clear win for Gear VR Samsung S6 and S7 have 570PPI even better. LG G3 is cheapest solution and still much better than rift. About the cost I was already detailed write about it and even send some links so people can see what I was talking about. Here I will just mention some other advantages you can get from it like hardware PD adjustment or focus adjustment for individual eye for those with different dioptry per eye. Same advantage have and OSVR compared it with Rift. And last where CV1 have advantage because 90Hz against G3 60Hz refresh rate but this advantage play role ony if you are able to run DCS on 90FPS. In practice most of the people playing it below 60FPS and it is playable so this is only advantage which is not worth of this 400€ difference in price. I'm not claiming Rift is not working just an opposite but Rift is not that better how much is cost. Technology built inside is not worth its price. Rift have some advantages but every day this difference is getting smaller so soon there will be no advantage to Rift at all and they will be forced to significantly drop the price to keep leading position in VR.
  22. Good Point but I think it is wort to put some testing in it. So far motion sicknes show as very individual issue. With time people get use and reduce motion sickens. If we don't try we will never know.
  23. Yes forgot to mention Nolo VR. It is kick starter for 6DoF and controllers for just 100$. This should e plug and play solution and will be released in May.
  24. Yes you can get 360 especially if you combine tracking with EDtracker. But in my opinioun and experiance 1:1 movemant is not that realistic as it looks like on first impression. If you combine your tracking on OSVR and using Opentrack (try to check it on opentrack as DK2) try to set it up diferently. In centre is 1:1 but more you go to a side increase this curve. In VR you don't have simulated eye movement plus we have some sort of tunnel vision because lover than RL FOV. So in 1:1 if you want to check your six you need to turn for 180 with full your body. In RL you will turn with your body to just 90 and rest of the move you will do with your eyes and in that way combining your body move with your eye movement. This is not perfect ether but is more realistic than breaking the spine to check your 6.
  25. Who is arguing? What thread this is about? Even I will not buy OSVR HDK2 it doesn't mean is not working or I was try to convince someone in that. I was arguing with individuals who trying to sell us wrong information and misleading people here. And I prow it is right. Even I'm glad some of my mistakes or wrong impressions are correct and I thanks for example to lefuneste01  I change my opinion about some issues when someone give me the facts like he did. Here in Europe CV1 is cost around 650€ and I made my GearVR based on LG G3 for less then 200€ with 6DoF solution. The point is once you set it up is working without further constant set up like most of you Rifters trying to convince people like nothing else than Rift is not working. To despoilment you for same money you pay your CV1 I got more quality VR experience plus new GTX 1070. So enjoy it for your self and not trying to sell this strudel to the others.
