As a 'platinum' Backer how do I select my "Copy of any Eagle Dynamics developed DCS product"? I plan on getting the F-18 with it.

P-40, SPITFIRE XIV, Fw190 Antons... They were all very much present to the timeline (Certainly more so than any of the current luftwaffe aircraft). VEAO DCS development closures is a huge blow to DCS WWII IMO, I am looking forward to the P-40 and still have my fingers crossed that the spitfire XIV will reappear. Speculation of course but I do wonder if the revised contract that was rejected was the same as the ones that other 3Rd parties signed up to...

It is good at climbing as long as you keep the speed above ~180, if you go below that for too long and you will fry. What rpm/boost are you using?

As others have already stated all of this "amminosity" could easily be removed by communication. When one of the previous team members chose to share with the community what he was working on the community responded well. Communication is key.

I was simply putting the feeling of the customers into a sentence and the ham fisted approach of deleting the original thread soured the mood somewhat. No roadmap hence a "road to....?" Please don't take it so personally and perhaps bare in mind that whilst you and the other mods have the privilege of seeing what ED are working on the rest of us are in the dark, a position that clearly quite a few people do not like being in.

That is why myself and others would like some sort of official vision of the future. We aren't new to DCS we all have accepted that it takes time however a bit of appreciation of what might be in the pipeline would help. Going back to a 3rd party holding the key to the future of DCS WWII, I would argue that whomever is willing to create the required aircraft does and past the P-47 & Me262 we don't know ED's plans in this regards.

I couldn't imagine why anybody would want to fly DCS WWII offline the AI is at best appalling (thanks to the current damage model). The whole "muliplayer only plays a small part" is again just a reflection of the status of DCS. How else does one explain the larger online playerbase of other sims

As was stated on Klems thread before it was deleted he mentioned that his group had slowly transitioned to another sim the "one that shall not be named". You can see this with the online numbers that have dropped rapidly of late. Regularly one could find 40-60 players on burning skies, last night it was only just in the double figures. Personally I see this as a gauge for what the community sees of the status quo, hence the "negativity". I am also experiencing something similar to Klem, I get the feeling that things have stagnated in my own group.

I felt that way until VEAO (is it okay to talk about this?) pulled out, now I don't see any kind of roadmap. That is all I would like to hear/see from ED even if it is only a reassurance. Come on Nirvi another two aircraft in terms of WWII doesn't really make for a good vision especially when one of them is another ultra late war luftwaffe kite.

This issue has been beaten so much the horse has turned to nought but a bloody pulp and ED have yet to do anything other than ignore the legitimate questions. I would have been moaning about this a lot more if it wasn't for the fact that I have stopped flying, 2.0 performance is just not good in VR especially the spitfire cockpit which is another issue that has not been acknowledged by ED...

This has nothing to do with balance don't try and turn people words, just incorrect choice in theatre and aircraft set so it is more to do with realism than anything else. I was hoping that a Mk14 would go some way to address (if available in small numbers) this issue, however now that ED & Veao have pulled the plug the future looks bleak.

Any news on spitfire fuel tanks and cockpit performance issues? Thanks

Any news on this? Still have a 10-15 fps difference between this and the 109! :(

2.1.1 runs very very poorly for me in VR :( 17fps with the preset VR settings, however I am running with a 780 which technically isn't 'VR Ready' that said I never had this issue with NTTR.... :helpsmilie:

Have that issue with 2.1.0 :(

I would buy a 1080TI, if I could find one that didn't melt my face when I see the price...
