  1. The P-47 has required a lot more work than other ww2 modules due to the lack of data which was apparently destroyed There is a post from ED discussing having to make the wind tunnel test from scratch using software which hasn't had to be done before.
  2. Yep https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115584&page=164
  3. Yes, however it wasn't until January/February that supplies started to arrive IIRC. So until the last few months 25lb spitfire would have been a rarity over Normandy given the lack of range, it would be nice to have the option though.
  4. Is that an AMD? If yes that is utterly ridiculous naming
  5. Good to know, thanks Fenrir. A pity I really like the low back looks.
  6. +1 Especially considering I haven't been flying for a year or more thanks to a dead GPU and unwillingness to spend far more for a new one than I have before
  7. Fair enough, I think it was around for D-day or not soon after.
  8. I appreciate that ED have already spent a good deal of time time on the IX and I would rather see a XIV, Typhoon or Tempest. But I was just wondering given the changes are only the Merlin 266 which is an American manufactured Merlin 66, the armament of an IXe wing and the addition of the tear drop canopy would there be that great an impact to the flight characteristics of what we already have modelled for the IX?
  9. The 109 was very heavy to control at high speed (that is well documented and generally true for most aircraft of the era) and IIRC intended by some manufacturers in order to make sure that the structure was not over stressed by the more enthusiastic pilots.
  10. Hi chaps, I need to get a new GPU and was wondering if a comparison of Oculus Rift and various GPU frame rates has been compiled? Currently looking at the 2070 and 2080 only, 2080TI is too expensive for my taste. Thanks, Krupi
  11. I am all for new ww2 aircraft... But another largely irrelevant and high performance luftwaffe aircraft  There are many more Normandy relevant aircraft that should be worked on before a THIRD 190
  12. Hi Razbam, Knowing that you have worked on a Hawker Tempest previously what are the chances that you will be bringing one to DCS? Regards, Krupi
  13. I would prefer to have an XVI version, basically a IXE with bubble canopy.
  14. Is there bombing missions in the mix yet?
  15. 1. Mosquito 2. Hawker Tempest Mk V. 3. Spitfire Mk XIV.
  16. Yes I meant the first. I do think that ED are on to a winning formula if you look at aircraft individually however if you look at the whole package work is needed I.e. New more relevant aircraft required for historical scenarios this issue applies to the jets as well.
  17. I would be surprised if it was the other components, they are relatively new June 2016 however I will look into testing the other components. In dxdiag I get a GPU error message and it doesn't show a card attached.
  18. And was much slower than the K4, even the G14/AS, and was comparable in speed to the Spitfire IX... The G14 had STARTED to arrive for Normandy and was the aircraft that should have been selected by RRG. BTW the spitfire XIV even in small numbers was flying over Europe from early 1944. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how realistic the aircraft are if the selected aircraft are not so realistic for the defined scenario, that is al that matters. Why do you think a certain WW2 flight simulation soon to be released based upon operation Bodenplatte has both the K4 and G14. Based upon an operation I might add that was launched in 1945 and the K4 still wasn't the most common aircraft. No matter how you spin it what we have now is not great. Arguably we don't even have the right Spitfire IX for Normandy, the IXe was starting to arrive and IXc converted to IXE. It is a great move by this other developer even if I don't support them, they see what is available right now and know that we are left lacking and are going to undermine ED.
  19. Yep, whilst I would like and a 1080 Ti I am not willing to write off a £900 pound for one when they are really worth £680... Especially when mining with GPU's already sounds like it is no longer worth it... the prices might drop off a cliff soon!
  20. Okay, now if we compare it to the Gustavs actually present over Normandy...
  21. Okay, I thought that would be the case :( I have found a MSI 1070 TI GAMING for a reasonable price, just need to decide on a that or a 1080.
  22. My EVGA 780 purchased back in the fall of 2013 has coughed hiccuped and apparently died  the warranty only lasted three year's. Now with all the news about the current cryptocurrency fad I was already aware that they were in short supply. Whilst I could take the hit and by a 1080TI at a ridiculous price I am unwilling to do so, which leaves me with two alternatives find a website that is selling a 1070TI or perhaps a 1080 at a fairly reasonable price and wait a few weeks for it to get back in stock or attempt a repair! Is a repair even a viable option, I have no idea why it suddenly went. I noticed a couple of green lines flashing and original mistook them for a dodgy hdmi cable on my steam link however on Friday the dreaded artifacts appeared and on Sunday the GPU stopped appearing in my dxdiag :helpsmilie: Just wanted thoughts from people with more experience.
  23. I can't believe they have left this module in such a bad state, it is ridiculous! Mirror bug, muliplayer bug, old bugs reappearing and still no bombs or fuel tanks on top of all of this...
  24. Interesting, this bug was fixed previously!
  25. "Fun fact" there was no Dora's or K-4's around during the Invasion of Normandy ergo they shouldn't have been selected by RRG. They were not "rare" they weren't anywhere close to the front line! End of story. Now one thing that we can all agree on, unless you are in denial, is that when these aircraft finally did arrive the impact was insignificant. Lack of fuel, green pilots... Why green pilots because they were lost facing a much larger force when they were in comparable aircraft. Either way you spin it with your own personal bias what we currently have is ironically unrealistic!
