I stopped playing DCS for about a month or so and there has been a few updates since, it seems. Now that I've come back to it I'm constantly getting 1-2 second stutters every few seconds when playimgin a multiplayer server and its absolutely unplayable. My framerate is very good (around 60 - 90) but no matter how low I set the graphics it keeps stuttering. I checked to make sure I had the latest nvidia driver and I do. I'll try rolling back to a previous driver see if it helps but if anyone has suggestions please let me know.

So lets forget about AMD then... What if I needed a CPU right now, any quick suggestions without breaking the bank?

I need a new motherboard and CPU so I was thinking of giving AMD a try to save a few bucks. How does DCS and AMD work together? Are there reports of lower frames or glitches when playing DCS on an AMD processor? I would still run on an nvidia GPU though.

I dont know much about the Viggen... Anyone know of an interesting documentary about this plane so I can get more familiar with it?

Just got back in the MI-8 after a long time away from it and noticed after a few missions that the compass heading is wrong by about 5 to 10 degrees? Am I forgetting something?

^ This, you need to find the switch and turn on pitot heat. It is on the right side near the INS panel if I remember correctly. There is 3 switches in a row and its the last one from the top with a reg guard over it.

Didn't get to play it but from what I could gather in the news letter, it sounds a lot like the default challenge campaign. Hopefully someone who has played it can pitch in?

Mirknir, unfortunately channel 0's freq really is 124 MHz in the mission editor for both red and blue sides. Perhaps if you changed the AWACS's freq to 150 MHz to match the 21's channel 1 (aux) it may work.

Any news on MiG-21 unable to contact AWACS or ATC?

In the mean while you can try loweing the textures to medium or low. The cockpits look terrible but at least it made it playable on my system (specs in sig.)

I think the reason why it takes so much longer to stop the Ka-50 compared to say, a Huey, is not because it doesnt slow down as fast using conventional technique but rather because of how fast the BlackShark can actually go. It doesnt take any longer to stop it from 100 kts then any other fling wing IMO. I think the best way to counter this is anticipate and start slowing down earlier.

I also wait for Rmax2 but the missles still miss more then half the time.

Haven't flown in the Su-27 for a few months and I just came back to it to finally play this Ultimate Argument campaign I bought but never completed. Unfortunately it seems the R-27ER can't hit anything anymore... Was the ER "nerfed" or something since 1.2? They keep missing my target even though the conditions are almost perfect for it.
