  1. Pins look fine. Even tried with a different ps/2 cable but same problem.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply Checked the USB and seemed to plug in snugly Also tried fiddling with the cable joining the stick to the throttle and didnt seem to help
  3. Found a cheap X52 stick to replace my old unit which broke about a year ago (to go with the still functioning throttle) but there is a problem with it: When plugged in, the first thing i noticed was the LEDs (only on the stick) were flickering in a repetitive manner (once every second or so). I then noticed in the device properties the inputs would reset to their default position every time the LEDs blinked. I also noticed the power light on the stick doesnt blink with the LEDs which makes me believe its not a power issue. Its kinda hard to explain but I could always make a video if not clear. Does anyone know of a fix for this problem?
  4. I think a dynamic campaign would give the biggest breath of fresh air to DCS
  5. Ghostraider: Unfortnately I dont have the budget for those dburne: I dont have a powered usb hub but i did check for broken wires... Didnt find any.
  6. I've had these Saitek Pro Flight rudder pedals for almost 2 years now and they worked fine until the other day... Fired DCS up and when i went to take off I noticed I had no rudder (always check your control surfaces before taking off hehe.) I looked down and the green power light was off even though it was still plugged in. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in, tried every other usb port and none worked. Also tried on a different PC and the light never comes on. Any suggestions?
  7. Same problem here and with 6gb of RAM it doesnt take long before its clogged up :(
  8. Thanks, sokol. Ive seen that one except with shipping, import and exchange rate its nearly 100$
  9. A while ago my X52 joystick died so I decided to upgrade to a new device but I still have the throttle unit which still works fine. I would like to buy the joystick unit to make the combo complete again and perhaps lend it to a friend. If you have an X52 which the throttle unit went wrong and would like to sell the stick, let me know. Dont need the connecting cable or anything, just the joystick itself. No reasonable offer will be ignored. P.S. if you stumble on an eBay listing or something similar, please let me know!
  10. You have zoom set to an axis on your HOTAS, dont you? Its a known issue with most hardware.
  11. Question is, will ED change this behavior?
  12. Arnt those just images from the past newsletters?
  13. You could always do a repair. It will revert everything back to normal and automatically backup any modified file you installed.
  14. It certainly was a pilot mistake. I was trying to dip the nose down to avoid an incoming missile. I didn't realize I was pulling so much negative G by doing so.
  15. Only thing bothering me with the flight model is how if you push the stick forward at speeds lower then say 700 kph (depending on altitude) it intermediately goes into an inverted stall with the pilot blacked out. Only way i've found to pull out of it is RAlt-J and let the AI with its SFM correct it and jump back in. Obviously that doesnt work in MP.
  16. I think that is just the cockpit texture, nothing you can about it in the options.
  17. Definitely, I have an older Aurora and other then the GPU that was chaged, its still original spec and I run DCS on high without a problem. The only bottleneck I can see might be the CPU...
  18. Unlocked for warthog but locked for everything dual engine with AB (makes it easier to move past the detent IMO)
  19. My bad, you're right, it is RAlt
  20. Wow, what the hell?!? Someone changed the title of my thread?
  21. I knew about the Su-27's body lift but... After some fighting with a pair of Eagles, I decided to check on my wingman and saw this: Coming in for landing Decided to go around Went back in my plane and when I checked on him again, he apparently "landed" a few miles away from the airfield
  22. That is actually a very good idea! Never thought of that. Dont have an answer to your question, though. Sorry.
  23. I think the amount of information is just right. And if you can condense an A-10 guide under or around 100 pages, its still less intimidating then the manual's 671 pages.
