  1. Nice, great interview, thanks for the link. Damn, I can't believe its coming this year! I haven't played BS enough yet :) Really looking forward to this.
  2. Thanks very much, I too am a ROF fan and am consuming as much WW1 related aviation watchables as possible :D
  3. I believe "B" are adjustable lights, for cockpit/instrument lighting.
  4. Damn that just looks...wrong, I bet it can carry some weight though. ty for the pics
  5. That looks really nice. I guess that is the first view of FLIR in the A10 cockpit view? I agree, the sounds are awesome.
  6. wow nice landing! Planes are a lot more sturdy than I thought.
  7. Thankyou Thanks for the Patch Ed, looking forward to trying it
  8. Wow! your lucky to get a deal like that. Those panels look top notch, so....many....wires :joystick:. Keep us updated with progress pics and good luck with it!
  9. I've been hoping to see some of these documentaries translated. Thanks for the Links!
  10. ^ wow I agree with the commentator :D, that was close.
  11. I remember seeing adverts for TFX for Amiga in Amiga Format. Alas, it never came, I used to drool over the screen shots :). I think it was released eventually but not through official channels. Standard Amiga just didn't have the HP to run it.
  12. Ah yes, I see now its not a stryker:doh: nice pics ty
  13. What's that thing on the top of the Stryker in the first pic? Looks like a FFAR pod! Maybe smoke launcher?
  14. Afaik the reason is because of what MS has done with HW Direct sound since Vista and win7, basically they have gotten rid of it. So no more hardware sound acceleration since win xp.
  15. Nice videos, but does anyone find the english voice very difficult to hear? It's because of that filter they have put on it to make it sound like radio comms. I don't get the point, this very complex stuff that you are trying to learn, it doesn't help having to strain your ears to catch what is being said. I would have prefered normal high quality mic and voice over. I dont remeber it being this bad with the BS training videos (although, those also could have done without the "radio com" filter imo). I guess I'll just have to use head phones.
  16. 1.11 patch Any one else enjoying the great recent update to this? New graphical effects, rain, bloom etc New quick mission generator, which is done to perfection. Game runs better for me too. Really great support from the developers, I am well impressed.
  17. I hover land, but use the auto decent switch, yeah I'm a wuss :D
  18. Warriors - Psychology of Man's instinct to kill in times of war http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Warriors+Psychology+of+Man%27s+instinct+to+kill+in+times+of+war&search_type=&aq=f Interesting documentary about what it takes for a human to kill another in a time of war, and the consequences. Don't think it has been posted before, sorry if it has, enjoy ;).
  19. Ah yes, excellent mod. Amazingly good fun on the Nurburgring
  20. I have 2233rz. Its a good monitor compared to most other TN LCDs with the 120hz refresh, this gives way smoother feeling than a 60 or 75hz lcd in games and even in windows. LCD motion ghosting/blurring normally associated with TN LCDs is non existent. The monitor does suffer from backlight bleeding at the edges and bottom eg. the top of the screen is noticeably darker than the bottom. However, all TN LCDs suffer from the same prob and you get used to it. I had a particularly hard time with it because this was my first LCD screen, all CRT up to now. The 3d is excellent. There are some probs however, two main issues. The first being excessive "flashing" of the glasses, this was almost completely eliminated for me by shutting down SpeedFan before using 3D. The second problem is "Ghosting", some games have it quite bad while others not at all. Ghosting is where you can see part of the image that is supposed to be blacked out by the shutters, it appears as slight double vision. I still am happy with my 3D vision and 2233rz and would recommend. Check out this forum for a better idea of users opinions: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showforum=40 Best review of the 2233rz on the net: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/monitors/display/samsung-sm2233rz_7.html#sect0
  21. BBC Combat Pilot Series http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=0177F2ABC3D2A79D&search_query=bbc+combat+pilot+Part&rclk=pti ^ Here is the first episode of a six part BBC series called "Combat Pilot" about new recruits transitioning to becoming fast Jet pilots in Tornado, EF etc. The rest of the vids are up there too. Don't think I have seen it posted here before, so enjoy, I thought it was good.
  22. ha, nice one never noticed this before.
  23. I have a 2233rz (on nvidia) myself and have no problems running BS. My only suggestion is to run the game with the 204b and set the res to 1680x1050@60hz then swap over to the 2233rz and see if that works. You said you have tried changing the resolution, so you have probably done that already too.
  24. Maybe a poor choice of words on my part for the technically anal :D. But to the lay man, for all intents and purposes, DCS A10 will get a significant boost using a multicore CPU than a single core cpu. Which is really all the op wanted to know :) (albeit on a DX10 compatible OS) =============== Actually Sobek you got me wondering now, are you saying that if I where to enable affinity for all cores on Lockon with Vista I would get the same boost that DCS:BS gets with affinity?
  25. Lockon does not, DCS Black shark does and very well I might add. Its already in the engine so I would say for sure DCS A10 will have it. Oh, and welcome to the forum
