Complete Transport and Logistics Deployment - CTLD
Shadow KT replied to Ciribob's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
fargo has added a pull request for the weight implementation. -
Yep, can confirm. It is the SA page that does it. Close the SA page, everything goes back to normal. Okey, I got a word that it is actually a known problem
-
Re-watched the track after disabling LotATC. I noticed that it starts as soon as I open the SA page, which reminds of the SA page bug and I believe it back. Surely seems like it is. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=235885

You can see them pretty much during the whole track. Especially while flying towards the enemy. Should be visible almost from the beginning. It might be LotATC tho. I will try to disable it.

[CORRECT AS IS]TGP bore-sighting after undesignate
Shadow KT replied to Bones1775's topic in Bugs and Problems
Alright, what the point of having two controls have the same function ? If I want to boresight/snowplow I would do that, not undesignate. How come when you manually designate and undesignate it doesn't return to snowplow ? How come when you slave to WP and then manually designate a new point, it still returns to snowplow when you undesignate ? -
Hey, I noticed on pretty simple mission of mine, just flying by myself vs. two AI aircraft (Late activation via triggers and radio menu, no scripts) that I would be running 50-60 FPS and all of a sudden, my FPS would literally decade by 1 FPS every second until it drops to about 20-30 FPS and it would jump back up to 60. There are also a tanker and 2 AWACS aircraft. FPS Drop.trk dcs.zip

"Expert"-Stinger misses afterburning MiG-21 nearly every time.
Shadow KT replied to D4n's topic in Weapon Bugs
https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=253981 old thread, which I had made -
This needs attention.... A bit off-topic, but this seems to be becoming a bigger and bigger problem occurring in different issues, where values can be adjusted and need fixing
-
That is something you can get used to quite quick. If the flight model is close and accurate, as well as the systems... I would say you can transition pretty quickly
-
I tell you which are the most unrealistic  Anything from Razbam, the Gazelle, which is due to be reworked at some point and the MiG-21, which is more a victim of its own bugs than anything else.

reported earlier searchlight ...lack of power/distance
Shadow KT replied to mastercosta's topic in DCS: UH-1H
There are also AI units like the UH-60, which have a real torch light -
"Expert"-Stinger misses afterburning MiG-21 nearly every time.
Shadow KT replied to D4n's topic in Weapon Bugs
It used to be, one of the patch notes said it was "tweaked", but how fix it is .... you can never know with the MiG-21 -
How come SAM's have two stage motors, but an A2A missile can't have one ?
-
Well, can't get more precise than what I did in the track. I even tried it with an Mi-8, same result. I flipped the wind, I tried static and dynamic weather... nothing, no ILS, no NDB. It doesn't make sense to stop them to begin with, as there are only on one side of the airfield to begin with.

[REPORTED]MIG 29S has huge bounce on landing
Shadow KT replied to H-var's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
Yes, the bounce is because of that, but a slam with such a gear should collapse the main gear, no ? Gear acts as if it is a rigid body. -
This.... I am telling everyone...... Stuff used to do more damage or die easier.... somehow damage values have changed or targets have become more armored....

Shadow KT replied to D4n's topic in Weapon Bugs
Is this about the the IR signature of the MiG-21 when in AB, being lower than when it is out of AB ? If you wanna test it, limit the AI MiG-21 to not use afterburner and test again -
CBU-97 and -105 parachutes fly into the wind with dynamic weather.
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Weapon Bugs
I've learned about Navigational Wind Direction in University, in my Navigation classes, taught by an ATC trainer. Sadly, I have not found any quick reference to it on the internet so far, maybe it is just an eastern/russian thing. So, here is the concept (as per my notebook for Navigation).... You have two types of wind directions. Navigational and Meteorological. Meteorological is what everyone is used to, i.e where the wind is blowing from, that's how meteorologist give wind direction. What about navigational wind direction ? Well, see... when you are solving navigational problems, such as what heading you should be flying, so you can follow a given path when a wind is blowing from so and so, you combine vectors in what is called a wind triangle. When using vectors, they have a direction of travel and that direction is the heading at which the wind is blowing TO. This is where navigational wind comes from. Every pilots has used navigational wind direction to calculate their flight plan in their small general aviation aircraft. Maybe the problem comes from translation in languages ? People have always used it, but maybe in English they just don't call it this way, instead, they would call it the wind vector. See... whenever I first studied this, as the class was on navigation, we mostly solved navigational problems and pretty much exclusively used navigational wind. When I was first introduced to what everyone else is used to, i.e meteorological wind.... I too was confused about it, why would there be two definitions and I thought that meteorological wind direction made no sense. I guess one came about from its ease of use when actually operating a ship or an aircraft, if th wind is 240, then you should be going 240 for take-off. On the other hand, you want nav wind if you are calculating wind corrections and so on.... Hope this has shine some light on the topic -
As the title suggest, both near and far NDBs for Kobuleti do not work. These are frequencies 490Khz and 870kHz. In track you can see that I can pick the Sukhumi NDB which is at 489 kHz, you can tell it is Sukhumi by the morse code, yet the 490, 1 kHz away and a lot closer does not work. Same for the 870kHz NDB at Kobuleti. I tried with a cold start Huey, as well as hot start Huey and Mi-8 UH-1H Kobuleti NDB.trk

[REPORTED]MIG 29S has huge bounce on landing
Shadow KT replied to H-var's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
Here is a track.... There is no damage model for the gear what so ever, you either crash hard enough to explode or you bounce in a ridiculous way ..... MiG-29.trk -
[REPORTED]MIG 29S has huge bounce on landing
Shadow KT replied to H-var's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
This is about damage model.... You can do ridiculous things with the MiG-29 landing gear and it will not break or bend or anything. Don't know if the MiG-29 even got a new damage model after the external model update.... did it even get finished ? -
CBU-97 and -105 parachutes fly into the wind with dynamic weather.
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Weapon Bugs
Top picture is static, because it shows for different altitudes, bottom is dynamic, as it only shows for at the ground. But I agree, that the majority of people, will not be able to tell the difference. They both shows NAV Wind ! NAV Wind is the direction in which the wind is blowing TO. Briefing shows same values, yet winds are in opposite directions. The briefing data for NAV Wind when using dynamic weather is wrong. -
CBU-97 and -105 parachutes fly into the wind with dynamic weather.
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Weapon Bugs
You are missing the issue here, both briefings shows the same exact NAV Wind Direction, but the winds blow in opposite directions. The briefing shows exactly the same NAV wind direction in both cases Okey, you are correct, it is the briefing, which is wrong. I just rechecked how wind barbs are read and the wind direction in the mission editor does match the one while flying the actual mission, BUT the briefing shows the wrong value. So, to correct what the issue actually is..... When using dynamic weather, the briefing shows the wrong NAV Wind Direction.
