fixed Mission Editor Unit Naming Broken when Copying units.
Shadow KT posted a topic in General Bugs
When copying units, the unit name (not group name) does not move to the next number, i.e: MBT-1-1 does not change to MBT-2-1, but MBT-1-2-1. Group naming changes correctly from MBT-1 to MBT-2. The same can be observed with static units. If you want to create the same type of group and place a new group, it will work as intended. Naming will be correct. -
Quick google search says 60 degrees elevation for the BMP-3. Seems like 60 to me This is for the BMP-2

Neither is the Mi-8 or UH-1 meant to be attacking armored vehicles with heavy weapons. In the Mi-24 you have plenty of range to engage with Shturm.

reported CIWS dispersion and addition of MK149 shell
Shadow KT replied to nighthawk2174's topic in Weapon Bugs
Interesting stuff, hope to see it soon in DCS -
Currently, you can steer the ATGM sight with mouse and joystick. I can open the sight and steer it with the mouse, grab my joystick, without changing anything and start steering it with my joystick. Joystick has jitters around center. I don't want to use it as an aiming device, I want it to be disabled. Sometimes when I am aiming with the mouse, the sight will start jumping, because the joystick is creating small inputs arounds its center. Why have multiple controls working at the same time, when you can say... hey I want to use either only mouse, only joystick or all enabled. This is my proposal. Make a special tab option where you can select how to aim.... Mouse, Joystick, All, Other, etc.

So... as there is no pedal trim in the Mi-24, instead, there is a damper, which holds the pedals in position.... Can we get a new way of controlling pedals ? I am proposing an angular acceleration method, similar to how the ATGM sight is controlled in the Mi-24. The more pedal you input the faster the stronger you are pressing on the pedals. I believe this would be a nice solution for people using twist grips with their joysticks for pedal input. This way you don't have to be holding tension on the stick, twisted all the time. You twist to set pedal position and return to center to hold it there. I think it will be a nice workaround.

This would be a nice addition, allowing to disable control of the device not chosen, when using the ATGM sight. Currently, depending on your hardware, there might be interference between your mouse and joystick when trying to aim, leading to the need of increasing your joystick deadzones. Depending on how bad the jitter in your joystick is, it might render using the sight impossible with a mouse

reported Left shift key enters waypoint placement.
Shadow KT replied to meltingSnowdrift's topic in Bugs and Problems
As far as I know using Shift to place new paths is intended, although not documented anywhere. I can't find the thread, where I had this answered, but I was told it was intentional. It also really annoying. -
Agree to disagree. Don't know how many tests you've done and how much combined arms you've played, but show us a track and lets see if I can reproduce. Units have other issues and accuracy is not one of them, at least 80% of the time. There are some issues, which may lead you to believe that they are too accurate, but the core problem is not accuracy. Majority of the time it is just oblivious players having no SA, threat analysis and just flying in a straight line. Major problem for the AI is their all seeing eye, as in ... if they can see you in line of sight, they will react immediately, no matter your position in relation to them. Their other issues, which might lead you to believe that they are too accurate is that their accuracy is applied to a burst. A burst is usually around 10ish rounds, which is too big of a burst and the same accuracy is applied to the whole burst. Their accuracy dispersion is alright, I would say on average they are actually pretty bad, but they just need one lucky roll, to pepper that oblivious player, flying in a straight line, with 10 accurate shots. In any case, if you are taking small arms fire, you are too close. Unless it is radar guided SPAA, 90% of the time the AI hits is if you are flying straight at it, or literally on top of you. Without tracks, you are just shouting pointlessly into the air. Give tracks with examples and people can look into them. Just saying... oh yeah, AI is too accurate.... yeah, no.

No, not having any issues. It is not the units.

After removing shaders and fxo a bunch of times and launching a SP mission first, instead of MP, after a fresh launch... I was able to minimize the stuttering, although still there. But at least now it is playable. Something happened with this last Open Beta patch.

AI Infantry no longer try to Dodge aircraft
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Last time I tested it... which was very long time ago... might even have been 2 years ago, what happened was.... once you ran over the first guy, the rest were like... oh shit, this guy crazy, lets run. The moment you start approaching them, they would disperse. Obviously, if you are going over 100 knots and they are in the open, not easy to dodge, but they did try. I was thinking maybe it has something to do with the disperse option ? Maybe they had to sack this feature ? Or it was broken, due to other fixes they've had to do, such as movement of infantry while in Red state -
I am also encountering some major almost game breaking stutters on Syria after the latest Open Beta. Will read through this thread and see if I can provide any information.

AI Infantry no longer try to Dodge aircraft
Shadow KT replied to Shadow KT's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Honestly, I cannot remember.... It is not everyday that you try to run over infantry with aircraft.... Maybe back in 2.5.X is when I last tried it, at least an year ago. -
100000000000000000% there are.... and this is not isolated to Combined Arms either.
