Nun, zum Thema Troop embarking und disembarking wurde auch schon mehrfach geschrieben, dass das in DCS nicht umsetzbar sei. Deswegen müssen wir uns ja mit CTLD aushelfen. Daher bezweifle ich auch mal die Winch Implementierung. Was soll denn gewincht werden, wenn nicht Personal? Das Cockpit Overhaul und ECM würde ich auch sehr begrüßen, da die Mi-8 weder Radar noch Laserwarner hat. Da biste echt blind unterwegs:/

Beide Triebwerke an und alle external Verbindungen abgetrennt? Jester startet das Alignment erst wenn du unabhängig von externem Strom bist. Edit sagt noch dass auch die Belüftung auf beide Engines geschaltet werden muss, weil das WCS sonst nicht gekühlt wird meine ich.

According to the manual chapter 6-54 that's correct behavior since the running engines can be supplied by suction. Only for engine and APU starting it's mandatory to have the fuel pumps running. Yet it's highly recommended to keep them on during all phases of flight. Sorry for OT.

The NVG lighting of the cockpit is not visible. It used to look like some UV lighting now it doesn't change anything.

Iirc it's that 3-way switch behind the stick, just below the store panel. It's called 'Laser Code Selector' I think. 3 preconfigured codes can be selected.

Using the KH-25ML it's possible to buddy lase. Make sure you're both on the same laser frequency.

It's not about repairing but about rearming. The rearming menu (Alt+/) doesn't work with engines running in the Mi-8. You have to request it via Comm menu.

Had some damage the last few days, including engine power loss, hydraulic pressure loss and a lot of bullet holes, but I got the chopper back in quite some style. So maybe they really improved something...

Yesterday I was being tasked in the Mi-8 to rescue a downed chopper crew. I should just follow the distress beacon on frequency 69MHz. Can I even dial that frequency in the Mi-8 so the Arc or Arc-ud can point me the way? Or is this frequency supposed to be for a Huey CSAR?

You mean 'never go more than 5m/s in vertical speed' right? I guess you're warning about VRS when descending too fast, because climbing with more than 5m/s is not a problem in a hover.

Thank you! So if I understand it correctly it was planned to use R-73 or Iglas and then the Army rejected the idea. And 1999 there was a Ka-50 with AA-missiles on it´s pylons which never have been tested or shot. So, can I assume that it would technically be possible to shoot a Igla from a pylon, but never has been tested? I mean the Igla only uses the IR seeker head, right? No need for any target acquisition from the Ka-50 weapon control system necessary, no?

If it´s true that the Ka-50 really never was able or intended to use the R-73 or the IGLA it´s really interesting to see that even scientific researchers like FAS Military Analysis Network or Jane's are listing the R-73 and IGLAs as possible armaments for the Ka-50.

According to the RL MiG-29 manual the CL fuel tank and wing drop tanks are on separate jettison circuits. The CL tank is jettisoned via a button on the stick, while the wing tanks are jettisoned via the emergency release on the front panel. So it looks like it's not modelled correctly. Wouldn't call that a bug.

Try landing on a stationary frigate first to get a feeling for the pad size and approach, then let the frigate cruise at slow speed and later on normal speed. It's tricky but just a matter of practice and constant training.
