Even if the metal nose cap that's about the size of an US $.50 piece is installed incorrectly or misaligned can cause airflow issues. QA would often check measurements during QVI's. PITA...
Had a level 3 over-g one day and had to replace a upper engine mount because it had cracked. Wouldn't have taken much more before the motor "flopped" in the bay.
Upper act torque boxes on the verts were notorious for cracking around the RWR or light fairing. There are quite a few "bent" air frames out there.
Sorry, but you guys are "nuts" () if you think there will not be any issues or 15 can easily handle G-loads close to the teens. If you over-G the jet beyond a level 1, there is so much work that needs to be done to return the jet to service.
No......the Strikes A/G radar mode is a very powerful tool that has features that allows its user to see/sniff its target from miles away at distances much greater than one can see w/the pod.
Chuck was an "A-hole" during his career and became ornery during his older years. He thought he was the s@$t because the AF put him on a pedestal. He wasn't very well liked by his enlisted maintainers because he forgot where he came from...an enlisted maintainer. Now Robin Olds, there is a REAL pilot and one hell-of-a commander. "WOLF 1"!
I don't know how much of a manual anyone would find. It's a highly modified Gazelle used as a movie prop. If you haven't seen the it, it's an old 80's movie named Blue Thunder.
