  1. You could cancel it and I will send you the difference for a pre-order of the new JetSeat?
  2. You'll find that all of the trainers released so far for DCS have combat capabilities. In the case of the L-39 and C-101 there are dedicated combat variants. Combat campaigns for these aircraft would be a lot of fun, IF there were more content. They would be great for campaigns involving small nations and anti-insurgency. I could also envision multiplayer servers with A/A involving the trainers. For those who like the realism (and you wouldn't be a DCS pilot if you didn't), a trainer also gives you the capability to have a realistic training progression. This is especially good for online squadrons.
  3. I mean that overall, even if I choose to mod the current JetSeat, that your new product coming in spring, will be a better JetSeat in terms of performance.
  4. I can't wait for this. Though I'm certain this will take a few more years. I hope that down the road you will actually see the pilot body moving like it's your own, each finger moving individually and the hands gripping the controls when you grip them.
  5. I'm relatively handy, but will it be a nice result? I can't imagine there being any motors in that area since it's between the legs. If I do actually have to unwire and rewire etc., then I might indeed wait. Especially since your new version will be an upgrade all in all, right?
  6. VR is nothing like TrackIR. The movement is 100% natural as it's your own head movement 1:1. This is like saying you're annoyed by your head moving in real life and you want a deadzone for that :D Like the others have said, it's not an issue.
  7. Here you go, best I can do at short notice: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2235163&postcount=73
  8. Do you think it's worth waiting then? My biggest concern is the hollow part for the stick. I have my stick mounted to my seat. Do you think the standard jetseat will interfere?
  9. Positions are separated by plane. What you change in a certain plane is only changed for that plane. Like OP said, RAlt+Num0 should save the position. I always check by hitting Num5 again. If it doesn't move back to default, it's saved.
  10. I wasn't being entirely serious with my suggestion. I like the official theme though. Not sure I like the excessive speech.
  11. The in cockpit snap view controls are actually really easy to use and module specific. FOV is controlled by Num* and Num/ Forward/back head position is changed with Rctrl+Shift+Num* and Num/ Don't forget to save with RAlt+Num0 Important: If you have an axis such as a slider set to cockpit zoom, the new FOV will constantly revert back to the slider setting. With my Warthog for instance, I adjust the slider axis so that the middle position is my preferred FOV.
  12. I was hoping for this: :D
  13. Sounds great, looking forward to receiving it!
  14. This is great news! I just got an Oculus Rift on the weekend and I'm blown away by the immersion. Didn't have pilot body turned on at the start and was then blown away again when I turned it on, as it actually feels like it's my body. Does this mean the Mig-21 will get a body too?
  15. The ACG server usually has a number of people playing in the evenings.
  16. Ok, so I got my Oculus Rift this weekend. The verdict: Yes, it's awesome and I'm keeping it. The immersion is indeed the deciding factor. It feels completely different, like you're actually inside the cockpit. TrackIR just doesn't compare. The tracking is incredibly smooth and accurate too. I will need to get used the the low resolution though. Coming from the crystal clarity of a 4k screen is quite a downgrade. The upside is that due to the lower resolution I now have more graphics power to spare. I've given up on SLI (too many headaches anyway) and have sold one card to cover most of the costs for the Rift.
  17. Hi Andre, I just ordered via your shop. It says you're out of stock. How long do you think it will take?
  18. Ok, so I've taken the plunge and bought a Rift via Amazon. If I don't like it for whatever reason they're usually very good with returns. I hope my girlfriend won't be too unhappy. She doesn't control my finances but we kind of need a little money for our wedding as well... :D
  19. I often have the same feeling and things with DCS do in fact progress really slowly. However, looking back things have really moved on in the last few years. There was a time when we waited years without a new module at all. Now we have a new module every few months. Just look at how many modules there are now...
  20. I've never been 100% satisfied with SLI in DCS World and am now looking to get rid of one of the cards. Additionally, I hear SLI has it's problems with VR, which I'm also looking at. I now have the opportunity to swap my two 980ti cards for a GTX 1080 Xtreme Waterforce. Is this a fair swap? On paper, in terms of raw performance the SLI 980ti cards have more potential. On the other hand, a single card will rid me of my SLI issues and I will have 8gb vram instead of 6. I'm also thinking about the resale values. Am I better off selling one 980ti and waiting for the 1080ti and then sell the second 980ti? Or do I do the swap and not bother with a 1080ti?
  21. You guys are killing me :P
  22. I have it too. It's 100% definitely the engine sound.
  23. In all of these cases there was still a substantial amount of wing that is able to create lift. If the wing were to be completely missing from the root at the fuselage, wouldn't the complete lack of lift on one side result in a roll?
  24. I was kind of hoping this will lead to a price drop as retailers would want to get the Stock off the shelves. :D
  25. I just read that Oculus has lost the lawsuit against Zenimax. Apparently they now want to stop oculus from selling the rift?
