I think you will like it! Not in Canada, Arizona actually, and Andre got me one and the whole transaction went as well as one can imagine. As to the JetSeat, at first I thought it would probably more "gimmick" than actually adding to immersion. Well, it does as advertised and adds a whole different dimension to flying in these sims we love. I have adjusted to it to the point that if I forget to turn it on, I know immediately something is not right. If you can, get one. I know Canada's importation laws are different than ours, but since it is what it is, it shouldn't be a problem.

Success - UHD TV as Monitor
Chief1942 replied to StrongHarm's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yeah! Saw the price and I think I can put such hopes on the back burner in the short term. I mean it took me some time to pull the trigger on my Acer XB280HK 4K G-Sync monitor, and that was about $800 at the time. Thanks for the feedback, but I'll have to pass. Am envious however as I can't read the darn text on mine without a text sizing mod. -
Thanks for fixing this for us Andre. Everythings working fine now in the 1.5.2 Final Release.

Right, and I think if we are looking for real immersion, one needs to be careful just what sensory perceptions are placed in the sim. In a tightly sealed cockpit with the helmet on, things are usually fairly quiet. The sound of your breathing via the oxygen mask is probably the dominant sound one experiences. Thats one of the things I enjoy with the JetSeat, I can "feel" feedback from the plane although I can't always hear it.

You da Man!!!

Andre, Works a treat in 2.0 Alpha. Must be an issue within 1.5.2. Final Release. I still have the open Beta on my PC. I'll give it a spin. The effects are GREAT!!!! in the F-86F. Edit: Works in the 1.5 Beta install. Not sure why one and not the other since they are supposidly the same iteration.
-
Andre, I didn't try it in 2.0 yet. I will and I'll let you know if it also shows there. I initially found it in the new 1.5.2

Help me out here :helpsmilie:Okay, I hit "print screen" and from there I have no idea where the image is found
-
Andre, I'm not sure I can. It shows up on my desktop and I have not found a way to copy it. I cannot even close the message using the red X in the upper right corner. I have to completely close SimShaker to get the message to disappear. I did notice when I did try to use the red X to close the message, every time I clicked the X some of the data in the body of text kept changing. This is all over my head.
-
Andre, I let the app update when I started SimShaker but I seem to have a problem. Flying the F-86 I was ONLY getting the ground bumps effect. When I closed out of DCS I had the following message on my screen: Oops...Something is wrong with SimShaker input data. UseRecievedSimDataMethodException: index was outside the bounds of the array. Stack Trace: at And it goes on to display a bunch of data and I notice it refers to the F-86.Any ideas?

Thanks. Devrim, Thank you for considering my request. I think the ability of selecting a preferred cockpit from the GUI is the future in this area. Thanks to Ed the mechanism is there, just needs someone with your talent to provide us lesser able:helpsmilie: with all the .luas, schmooas , and lolla paloozas.

Devrim, Any chance you could do with Grizzly's F-86 cockpit, the same as you did with Ricardo's pit for the A-10C. Tried the uboats approach and I am too dense to figure out how to make the description.lua for this to work in the GUI selection.Got most of it, but my eyes went tilt when I tried to understand the description.lua creation. I appreciate those of you out there who understand the ins & outs of all this, but I'm certainly NOT one of those folks. Thanks for your consideration of my request.

Thanks ED. You folks are top flight!

Am excited. For the those that have been into flight sims many years, that we are where we are at today would have been unthought of in the early beginnings. I want to let my imagination take charge in anticipation of what will eventually evolve in the flight sim genre'.

And 1.5.2 is getting close to final release state I surmise. The only issues I find in that iteration are attributed to the different aircraft modules that are themselves still "Beta" and have numerous shortcomings/bugs. I could provide a list but I think you are all as aware as anyone, especially the developers working day and night to resolve these problems.
-
Andre, I believe I have resolved the problem. Seems I had one of those "Unhandled Exception has occurred in your application" errors. Went into the MSCONFIG menu and worked through that swamp. It seems there was something amiss with Win10 communicating with the JetSeat application. Went with a "Normal" boot and now after redoing the same Free flight .mz I no longer have the rumble. Everything seems at the moment to be operating as advertised. Sorry for taking so much of your time on this. Like so many things, it is hard to know where to begin in diagnosing problems like this.
-
As the OP noted, it is a problem for many with the F-86. It's one of those "bugs" that seem to appear when other bugs get squashed. I don't have a clue whether it is a Belsimtek issue or ED's with the 1.5.2 update. Hopefully it will get corrected soon. The F-86 does great in the air, but getting it there and back to the flightline is almost impossible with this rudder issue.

Here you go. Andre, Here is the track but I don't know how you can tell from it that the Jetseat is vibrating as I said. While doing this track I did see that it occurs/begins when I turn off the battery switch after moving the throttles to the Idle detent. In the track you can see me turning the battery switch back on and the JetSeat vibrations cease at that point. Turn the switch to the off position again and the JetSeat begins vibrating again until I close out the screen. Demo for Andre.trk

Andre, Sorry, my bad. This issue happens in 1.5.2 Beta. I can't figure where the Jetseat is getting any signal as the plane is totally "cold". No turbines rotating, control surfaces moving etc. Stumped.:( Here is the test I did to see if it was still happening, it is. Chose the A-10C Freeflight-Black Sea-Ramp Start hot.miz. After opening in the cockpit, everything ready to go, I simply taxi over to another part of the base and do a shutdown. Once I move the throttles to the "detent" (Off) position the Jetseat starts it's thing and rather strong I might add. Completely shut the plane down, all switches off, canopy open, boarding ladder extended, everything cold. The jetseat keeps vibrating like this until I exit the mission. Hope that helps you pin down the problem.
-
Andre, So you know, I tried the A-10C in DCSW 2.0 and did not experience the issue. Not sure what's up with this. No biggy.

[DUPLICATE] f 86 rudder off center with new patch!
Chief1942 replied to Sixxpack's topic in Bugs and Problems
I suppose there is no one with an answer. I've had the same problem and when actuating nose wheel steering with this rudder problem, one is in for one heck of a ride. Will simply stop flying this a/c until they get some of these issues fixed. -
Andre, Have recently noticed a problem with the A-10C and my Jetseat. Whenever I land the plane I get all the great feedback from landing gear, flaps, bumps over the taxiway, etc. But when I do the shutdown procedure of the aircraft the Jet Seat suddenly starts a severe vibration and even when the plane is "cold", it still vibrates. Any idea what could cause that? Thanks and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.

Mea Culpa! First order of business when doing ANYTHING that has to do with a PC, is RTFM!:book: Kept returning to the Crosswinds Configurator to see if I could nail down the problem. Found it! It was an old guy who had a brain fart. Didn't follow Milan's instructions for calibrating the Crosswinds TO THE LETTER! When I re-read the instructions and followed them explicitly, my problems have gone away. Talk about having egg on my face.:music_whistling: Now back to the F-86 in all it's glory. love that plane.

Starting to make sense. Now that I think I have identified the possible source of my problem, it all makes sense. When I am landing and using the rudder input to stay aligned on the runway centerline, it is also applying about half brakes at the same time. Thus the skidding and loss of forward control. The same if taxiing on the ground. If I use the nosewheel steering, as I apply rudder input in either direction it also simultaneously applies about half braking. Not a good combination. I have sent an email to Milan at Crosswind with the problem. I'll keep everyone informed as to any corrective fix. It is an issue definitely with the pedals as it happens regardless of what aircraft I am using, so it's not something that came via an update to my installs. Thanks everyone for your help and interest in this problem.
