Hey! I thought I was the sole member of that club!:D

Andre, Thank you for the clarification. I just couldn't tell if the vibration from the lower/rear motors were actually from those motors or whether I was just feeling the output of the lower/fronts, which appears to be a stronger signal. All's good now.

Simshaker: which airframe effects to implement next

Andre, What I am trying to determine is whether the effects I feel from the two motors situated at the rear of the bottom portion of the seat are functioning correctly or even at all. When I do the test I definitely can tell when motors 1 through 6 are working, but not those two at the rear. Are they interconnected to the lower two motors on the upper part of the seat and activate at the same time? I really don't get as strong a vibration from the lower back two that I get from the rest. Just trying to make sure the seat is working properly. Thanks.

Thanks Wags! Do you ever sleep?:smilewink:

Andre, a question. I have the Jetseat 908 that has 8 separate motors as shown in post 435 above, but in the GameTrix JetSeat Control panel, I can only test 6 of those. Is there an updated Control Panel that allows testing all 8 motors?

I've searched all the forums to see if anyone else has even mentioned the issue I have with the newest OB update, but no joy. Seems unless I have the resolution "in game" set at the native resolution 3840X2160 of my monitor (AcerXB280HK) it starts in the small windowed mode. If I press the ALT + Enter that has been recommended, it freezes and I cannot interact with the screen until I put it back into the small window mode.:joystick: Since I have difficulty reading the on screen scripts on the GUI and in cockpit at 4K, I was running at a lower resolution in game. I didn't have an issue such as this before the latest OB update. Any thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated.:helpsmilie: Thanks. PS: I do use the Text Enlarger mod that is available but that only works for the radio communications while in game and in cockpit. Therefore I need the lower resolution (1920X1080)in order to be able to read the text in all the other parts of the sim ,ie. Mission editor and such.

Valid points about the "forums" and their purpose. It is my view that the forums, with all their faults and sometimes abuse, are the best way of the community sending their feedback, positive or negative, to ED. In some cases, due to language differences, some are not as adept at communicating their thoughts as are others. Pretty clear we are a " Global" community, and sometimes the navigating the forums can be as difficult as the learning curve that comes with a new module. But for those few who can "step over the line", I feel the moderators do a great job of keeping on focus. Patience is not a natural trait, it has to be learned. Thanks ED and looking forward to continued development. -
Issues with 4K resolution and monitor
Chief1942 replied to ESA Dodo's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I enjoy my 4K except for the issues you alluded to. The font scaling, especially in DCSW is sadly lacking. There are some mods that others have been so kind to develop and they help with certain aspects. But if you're trying to run 4k and read the info bar on, say the Mission planner, Good luck. I've taken to using a magnifying glass so that I don't click on the wrong item in the drop down menus. I would most likely get another 4k if i had to replace this one because the graphics are just to nice once you have experienced it. The "scaling" issue will hopefully be rectified with DCSW 2.0. Fingers crossed on that one. -
Andrey, I got it in both but I think I may have solved the problem. Seems I had my Jet Seat strapped onto a wooden office chair. Once I placed a pad between the Jet Seat and the wood surface, I can't hear the noise any more. May have been due to the hard surface of the chair. If it appears again I will let you know. thanks for the inquiry.

Got a screenshot of the issue. Here is the problem. Yes fully retarded throttle after touchdown. Go up to 60-65% the left flap comes up.

Did the 1v1 mission against the Fw-190. After I smacked that bad boy down I landed at Krymnsk and taxied to my parking spot and began shutdown routine. Set the brakes and all. Went to an outside view and noticed that all three wheels were turning. I hit the wheel brakes and they stopped turning but resumed their spin whenever I released the brakes. Not a show stopper but I thought I'd report the issue.

Jocko417, That makes sense. can't imagine the response of an aircraft where one side flap went fully deployed while the other was completely retracted. So I think one can appreciate the interconnect design to prevent such an occurrence. I will try to do a screen grab the next time I am flying the F-86F and it does this anomaly. Seems to only be happening in the 1.5 Beta install. But as noted, as long as I now keep the RPM's at 60-65%, no issues.

Andrey, Sorry I initially posted this on the wrong thread. I do not have the guns effect in the P-51 in 1.5 Beta. Everything works fine in the 1.2.6 install but not in the 1.5. I've checked the files for weapon sounds/effects in both installs and they appear to be the same. I also notice that even though I am firing the guns I get no sound, tracers, or any other effects. Is that something we have to expect what with 1.5 being Beta?

I was wondering if all the skin artists will have to update their skins for 1.5 Beta? I've enclosed a couple of pics so one can see the differences. First one is current 1.2.6 and 2nd is 1.5 Open Beta. Thanks .

You can download SkateZilla's skinpack (in mods / skins section of the forum) to have a few unofficial shiny ones.

Thanks to all! As I suspected, it was not a "bug" just a low information pilot who had a brain fart.

Andrey, Have been spending more time in the F-86F and have noticed that my Jet Seat makes a noise when taxing but I feel no effects. If I accelerate, then I start feeling the effects but it's at a speed that is not advisable for taxiing. Is this normal, or do I have to make some custom adjustment? Thanks for all you do for this community.

This problem manifested itself after once of the updates and haven't been able to figure it out. It is still there in the new 1.5 Beta. When I change view from cockpit to My Plane view, the image freezes and stutters whenever I try the zoom in or out via the mouse. If I hit ESC and go to "Adjust Controls" and when that screen comes up simply click OK and return to live action, the issue goes away. Been puzzling since it only seems to happen with this module. Not a show stopper and I have come to expect it, but thought I might give you guys a heads up and see if you have any solutions. As you might be able to tell, I fly this bird A LOT!:pilotfly:

Thanks Art-J, I should have expected some of these things. So much has been added to 1.5 that it is almost a whole new learning curve. Must have gotten complacent with the function of the F-86F up to this point. Will have to pay attention to subtle changes until I once again get into my comfort zone. Any suggestions as to what an appropriate on-ground RPM might be now to keep those systems functioning adequately?

I'm having some issues with the flaps in the new 1.5 Beta with the F-86F. Initially on landing I would place the flaps in the "up" position via the flaps switch on my TM Warthog throttle. Using the external view, only the right flap would raise. If I cycled the flaps switch and applied throttle, eventually the left flap would raise. It happened a couple of times. Thinking I may have a key binding issue, I removed the input file for the F-86F in the Config folder and built a new one. No joy. I can get the flaps to extend via the Throttle flap switch, but they will neither retract now once on the ground. I tried using the mouse click on the flaps lever in the cockpit view, still would not raise the flaps even though the flaps lever went to the "up" position. Not sure if it is a bug or something I'm not doing correctly. I do not have this issue with my regular DCSW F-86F install. Any thoughts? I appreciate both F-86F and 1.5 are Beta and we WILL have issues, but so far other than the above, 1.5 is about as good as it gets.

I enjoy your approach Sith. Better to not encourage false hopes than have to deal with the negativity when those hopes come up short. Patience!! I must have patience! Thanks ED and all.
