  1. I think I am on to it! Trying to work through this issue I think I may be on to the problem. When I go into the Controls section and select right or left brake and then "axis tune", if I input the slightest rudder pressure, as when one is steering. the brake axis spikes to half way on. I'll look into this further. May have to run it by Milan at Crosswinds and see if there is a wear issue in the sensors. I'll keep you posted as I know there are many Crosswind users here in or community.
  2. Even with full throttle? One of the issues you may have noticed in the track, and it has been the same in ramp start, taxiing also. Once the plane stops, it is as if someone threw chocks under the wheels and even full throttle cannot get it moving again. And yes, I have done a "repair" on the install. Just has me baffled. Must be something really SIMPLE I am missing. That is usually my experience with such.
  3. That's what I originally thought. I have Crosswind pedals and they have their own configurator. It is in that app that you click the "reverse" axis for the brakes so one doesn't have to do it in the sim controls axis tune. They worked perfectly prior to all the latest updates.
  4. This one 1.2.16.43180
  5. Hope this works F-86F Landing.trk OKay, I've recorded a track. Forgive the lousy landing as I am not the most deft at maintaining my descent when switching from cockpit view to outside so you could see the braking issue. And the spin was almost instant once I keyed nose wheel steering. Once the plane stopped, even with full throttle I could not get it to budge. Thanks for your feedback. First time I have had this issue and getting frustrated trying to get it resolved.
  6. I love to fly the F-86.:pilotfly: But after the last couple of updates to 1.2.16, 1.5.2, and 2.0 I have given up trying to land it anymore. Flies and fights just fine, but when the wheels touch down the brakes start applying themselves and the rubber skid marks commence. Steering becomes very problematic.:joystick: I know it's still "Beta" and expect some shortcomings, but this problem has only arisen within the last updates. I've tried every key adjustment available, recalibrated my CrossWinds to make sure it wasn't them, and even applied Shadoh's settings in Controls tuning to no avail. :helpsmilie: I know whenever there are updates to the three installs I have, 1.5 and 2.0 specifically check for already installed files and make use of them in some fashion. Could this cross mixing between install iterations be causing this problem? Since I really enjoy the 86, I hope someone can enlighten me here as to how I might get back to a ground controllable plane.:( Thanks.
  7. Get the best your pocketbook will permit. Even the cheapest out there, although sometime troublesome, are far better than no pedals at all. I think once you have come to appreciate how much they contribute to the overall "immersion" factor, you will eventually move up to even better ones. The reality is that most of us started the very same way you have. Adding a little more/better hardware whenever you could afford it.
  8. I now have trim control for the Hawk in the Alpha. It may take awhile to pick out all the improvements but definitely an improvement for me.
  9. WOW!!! Awesome! Just simply awesome.:worthy::worthy: While watching that I kept thinking, I don't have enough years left to become that proficient at flying in formation.:(
  10. Geert, I too get that"bump" in the A-10C whenever I start a mission at a turning point or another in the air point. Haven't noticed it on the ground. It is something new and I chalked it up to the different DCS updates where some sound issue may have changed that causes the "bump". Not a big deal but it has got my attention.
  11. One thing nice about these Crosswinds I have had for some time (Ser# 0204). Once you get them set up to your liking, they just keep on doing their job without any attention to them what-so-ever. Oh, one might want to check them out for lube on the springs etc, but other than that, they just plain work just like rudder pedals are supposed to. Best investment in $$$ and time I ever made as relates to my sim addiction.
  12. Crosswinds!!! But you'll have to be patient as Milan is chasing his tail trying to keep up with demand. May take awhile.
  13. It's all Andre! Well to start with, you came to the right place. If he follows his pattern, Andre will respond to your enquiry in short order and give you all the details as to how you may join the ranks of all us happy JetSeat owners/users.:) I can't imagine NOT having this accessory any more than I could enjoy flight sims without a TrackIR and rudder pedals. :joystick:
  14. Yes, still there for me as well. Works fine in 1.2 but it's a crap shoot whether or not you get a response from key presses in either the updated 1.5 or 2.0. Something changed.
  15. Ah yes, Fallon. Have some fond memories of NAS Fallon.:( Went there with our A-4 squadrons for ordinance practice. On one tour I actually got to work with the 'ordy" guys belting 20mm and loading HVAR's into the pods. Also remember the "rules' if one went into town. It seems Fallon had one main drag (street). On one side were some casinos, bars, and other attractive venues. On the other were the theater, library, and a cafe or two. The "rules" were, that if you were not 21 years of age, you could NOT set foot on the "sin side" of that street and were relegated to the "soul saving" side. Shore Patrol made sure one was where they were supposed to be:music_whistling:. Of course the pilots all went to Reno and had a grand old time.:pilotfly:
  16. And I thought I was having keyboard issues. I hadn't noticed the issue with previous iterations (1.2.16 or 1.5.1) , just when I started inputting my key binds in 2.0. Will stand by and see if ED gets it corrected.
  17. Took the A-10C on the Instant Action mission "Nevada Vegas Tour". Took off from McCarrin and landed at Nellis. Was definitely an exaggerated ground effects situation on landing at Nellis. Since this is all "Alpha" I sense this issue will get it's fair share of attention as the ED folks find the time.
  18. Took the A-10C up on the Instant Action "NEVADA Vegas tour". There simply are no words. This is great!! and it's an "Alpha". One can only imagine what these folks at ED are ultimately going to bless us with. Only complaint, and not really one at all, was that I was paying so much attention to getting through the green "gates" that I wasn't able to do too much sight-seeing of the terrain. But when it takes you low over the trees and houses, it all looks surreal. Do yourself a favor if you have the A-10C, fly that loop.
  19. Not yet! Took the old "86" for a spin at the NTTR and pulled up the kneeboard to see if I could get the tower freq for Groom Lake. No joy!
  20. If only...... ED could have harnessed all this palpable anticipation for their upcoming release, we would have had it on our computers 2 years ago:smilewink: I mus keep telling myself, patience Grasshopper, patience.:prop:
  21. Enjoy every year folks. It's fleeting! 73 here
  22. Thanks Devrim. I've always favored that approach to "customizing". JSGME is great, don't get me wrong, but simply being able to work within the sim itself has it's pluses.
  23. While going through "aviation "A" School at NAS Millington, Tenn. in 1960, I had the opportunity to actually sit in the cockpit of an AD and start that rascal up. The sheer power from that engine has to be experienced to be believed. An amazing experience. Would really like to have one to putt putt around in even in DCSW.
  24. Thanks Leatherneck! Followed the instructions and no activation requests anymore. You guys caught a lot of flak over this issue. Hope everyone is as quick to appreciate the fix.:music_whistling:
