  1. Andrey, The way you take care of things here for us, I would imagine your Mom is going to get top flight care. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  2. Sorry for your misfortune. That new system should rock with either OS. I moved to Win10 from Win7 with much trepidation. After all the anxiety I have had zero problems with Win10 when it comes to DCSW.
  3. My bad. This is the one I use. And I can't thank the person who came up with this enough. Got old 73 year old eyes. ChatEnhancer_0.1.zip
  4. Try this Works for me on my 4K with the same res you have. There are some others to address this issue. Try a search on the "Mods" forum. TextEnlarger.zip
  5. I sense there are some major variables between your tests and the response of the guns used in the air and at altitude. When you look at the placement of the .50's in the P-51's wing mounts, they are relatively close together and for all intents and purposes, fully enclosed within the wing. My point is, there is very little chance for heat dissipation if the guns are fired for too long a period. I have fired .50 cals and even one fully out in the open, at moderate surface temps, will heat significantly if one fires too long an extended burst. Unless the operator uses short, infrequent bursts, they WILL be replacing the barrels in short order. One thing that comes into play as well is that with heat buildup, there is a subsequent change in barrel harmonics (how the barrel reacts as the projectile proceeds from the breach to the muzzle). That causes changes in the trajectory of the round once it leaves the muzzle. Armorers are usually fairly knowledgeable about these issues relative to the ballistics and the weapon function, and durability. Not so much the pilots when in the heat of battle. When I worked in "Ordy" on A-4's that were equipped with 20mm cannons (2) we had to caution pilots about sustained bursts (above about 3-5 round bursts) on their strafing run training, but I can't speak to how much they could remember of our admonitions while trying to fly the aircraft and hit the target at the same time in a combat environment. The barrels still had fairly short lifespans and they were even more exposed to the air in the wing roots of the A-4 than those .50's enclosed in the wings of the Mustang.
  6. Thank you!! I have been wondering that same thing about Andrey ever since he showed up on these forums. The man is so responsive and timely whenever someone has a question or problem, I was beginning to think there must have be more than one of him.:D
  7. I hear you! With a 4K monitor, I switched over to FRAPS for just that very reason . Script is so small it is pretty near worthless. And to say nothing of these 73 year old eyes:(.
  8. Sorry, they were shipped to Lone82 last week.
  9. Enjoy! There is only one thing that concerns me about my JetSeat. What if I wear it out? I hope Andrey can continue to acquire them for us. I may have to order another to keep as a backup.:joystick: Now that I have used it I can't imagine flying without it. Would be no different than giving up my rudder pedals.
  10. Not so much. The Saiteks were not that bad, but they are not even in the same league with the Crosswinds. And if I can help out another simmer to learn the joys of rudder pedals, I'm not opposed to that. I got my investment out of them while I used them.
  11. Andrey, Am fully up and functioning once again. As you might imagine, once one gets the feedback that one gets from the JetSeat, it is difficult to fly without it. Especially the stall feedback in the prop planes. Some of the effects are like eye candy, nice but not really necessary, but the feedback that one gets from NOT flying the plane within it's parameters actually makes for more proficient flying. Gotta' have this seat!!
  12. Andrey, Not sure what the heck is going on. I did another reinstall and now when I open the application I get a second icon in my taskbar that when I click on it's ibaSeatJetseatv handler I get the following message: " Form load:Network port is busy. Check if another JetSeat Handler is already running. " My JetSeat was running fine before yesterday and I haven't made any changes to my computer that could be causing this. I'm stumped. Just tested it again. I think it is working. I'll need to change some settings. Thanks for your patience with an old man.
  13. Andrey, Then I actually did precisely what you said above. No joy. I continue to get the Microsoft .Net Framework "unhandled exception" as soon as I click Start SimShaker for DCS World and Falcon BMS. Am removing it again and will try another reinstall. Stand by. Thanks for your help. No. Same result. ould be my Norton AV. I'll shut all that off and keep trying.
  14. Andrey, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it prior to the above post. Unless I did something wrong during the re-installation, the problem remains. If you would be so kind and review the installation steps with me. I went to your site and followed those procedures during the reinstall but may have made an error with the Firmware part of the procedure.
  15. I have a set of Saiteks put away after I got my MFG Crosswinds. They were working fine when I replaced them. If you want them they are yours for the shipping costs. I am in Arizona USA. Let me know if that's doable for you.
  16. Windows 10 Home X64
  17. Unhandled Exception In notepad, Thanks Gametrix JetSeat.txt
  18. Hate to trouble you again Andrey, but i am getting one of those Unhandled Exceptions again and can't figure out how to get it fixed. I do notice that when I start the SimShaker it does not load the Jet Seat handler. Not sure how to go about getting it back online again . The seat is working via the Jet Seat Control Panel, just get this "exception" whenever I start DCSW. Any ideas?
  19. The last A-4 squadron I was in before discharge was VMA-311. We had the A-4E's and most went through the upgrade to the "A" (Avionics) Hump prior to the squadron deploying to ChuLai, Republic of VietNam. It took awhile and only about half were modified prior to my leaving.
  20. Spent pretty much my entire 4 years in the USMC working on "Scooters". Would be a great addition to the ever growing stable of A/C in ED's DCSWorld. Wish you great success in your endeavor.
  21. I am in that group of frequent P-51 flyers that still has the "proper" torque effects from the engine. Whether on T/O or landing, I have to be continually mindful of how gingerly I manage throttle changes because otherwise the plane will respond to the torque effects and I'll be all over the place. Seems those that are having an issue are numerous enough to support the issue of some anomaly in their particular setups. When one thinks of the fidelity/complexity of all these planes that ED and others have provided us, is it any wonder the task of making sure there are no changes/bugs inserted in any of the older modules each and every time they do an update must almost be like creating the modules from the start. Hopefully someone will find a cause and solution to these guys problems. I hope those that are having a problem have checked the possibility of a 90 degree crosswind of some significant magnitude from the left during T/O. Those wind settings have been an issue in more than one planes peculiar actions. Just a thought.
  22. Yep, give them time. This a great gift for buying the NTTR early on, so I am not complaining one bit. Thanks ED!!
  23. I found I had to do a repair before it gave me the option to install the campaign. But it all went well after that. Now to try and find the "briefing" it mentions in the mission details. There are no "Docs" in the DCS campaign folder that Skate mentioned. Hey, I suck at the F-15 so I can wait.
  24. Love it! You guys keep at it. You have no idea just how much information you provide for those of us who are just now learning how to program our HOTAS:joystick: Currently, as regards VR I am one of those wait and see types. I am definitely interested in the technology and feel certain it is a game changer for sim flying. The debate going on as regards Rift vs Vive is music to my ears because in that whole discussion, you folks that are really on top of this type of stuff, give me more information as regards the current state of the technology than I could ever get AND UNDERSTAND:music_whistling: As to costs, pishaw, I have spent enough to buy a house on flight sims and the associated equipment over all the years I've been at it. My graphics card alone was $1K. So you folks keep us informed as you get on with this tech, I for one appreciate it.
  25. All things considered... ... I think it took maybe a couple of weeks from the time I sent the funds to Andre. And it had nothing to do with when Andre posted the seat as he did it almost the same day, but it was the customs department "red tape" in the countries the seat passed through that took so much time.
